i feel bad for alicia cuz a lot of ppl blame her for the lose of gold of the team because of her falls from beam and floor. its really not her fault though, and she can't help falling, everybody falls, and don't you think that an olympic GYMNAST who provorms tricks that if normal ppl tried they would kill themselves could be cut some slack?

And it really wasn't...even if Alicia woulnd't have made those mistakes the US still would have lost also...Alicia is a great gymnast and i'm glad she's coming back!

look at the final team scores and you'll see even with cheng's fall, alicia's fall and out-of-bounds we still would NOT have won.

@bbhouk1 Well i think that had alicia landed that mount perfectly and connected it right away to her back tuck, she would have scored 16. This probably would have given Nastia more confidence and also give a reason to the judges to give her an execution score higher than 9.275. Also, i think that had alicia hit the best routine she could on floor, the other two athletes would have been able to build higher scores from that routine. And the judges then would have wanted to give the team that

@bbhouk1 (cont) didn't fall at all the gold over one that did, because it looks better. Of course that didn't happen in vault event finals, so who knows what would have happened if USA went 8 for 8 and China didn't. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

@missmouse35 Alicia didn't actually lose it for the US anyway. With her falls and steps out of bounds she only lost her team 1.7 points, which is more than they were behind China by. Even if Alicia hadn't fallen on beam and floor, China still would have won, it's not her fault, it's just that China was better on the day.
