  • What FG are you aiming for with cerveza?

  • @moffster I'm aiming for around 1.010 with BE2.

  • What place in Mexico did you actually go to? I liked the pictures you added to it

  • @AXIAM79 Puerto Vallarta. Nice place.

  • Another good way to make it lighter and enhance the flavor is to use Rice Syrup Solids in place of Brew Enhancer or Dextrose.

  • Am i wrong in thinking that IPA actually stands for Indian Pale Ale?

  • @wadeanddave IPA stands for India Pale Ale.

  • This way of making beer makes me sad...

  • @MeMcNeills I think it's wonderful that it's so easy to make a beer that is popular and can be shared with your friends.

  • @MeMcNeills: It's funny how folks can look down on this method...gotta love a purist. Making beer out of these kits has been so much fun to me...AND I can do it between working and training for triathlons. Best of all, I can enjoy it and pay 70% less (sometimes even less) for great beer.

  • @jcmc39555 I can make a real beer for about $20 for 5 gallons...Good luck with your triathlons, proud of you.

  • Sorry for the bad rating but the music was drowning out your voice to my old ears.

  • I can never find the coopers cerveza in my local store I'd like to give it a try though. Might see if they can order it in. Does it turn out similar to corona?

  • @RevolutionaryBrewer It has the same flavor profile. I think it turns out a better beer though.

  • Aren't you supposed to leave the spoon in the fermenter while you're swirling to dissolve the dry fermentables/DME? On Coopers demonstration that's what he did. I was thinking it acted as an agitator. Maybe not.

I can't help but think that kit with Brew Enhancer 1 fermented with a pure lager yeast at proper temps would turn out a great, quick summer beer. Bet I could make a great crowd pleaser that way.

  • @yartp I guess so. Everything seemed to dissolve. So I'm not too worried. I used BE2. So far it tastes great. Pure lager yeast would probably be better.

  • CHEERS! and SALUD!

  • @EJRhees Back at you!
