Hey David, i'm having a hard time understanding why heading hold on the gyros would not work for a tricopter. I've done testing with a single motor stabilized by a ga250 gyro in HH mode and it doesn't seem like it would fight itself... all the motors are working in a different axis. I haven't built the tricopter yet, could you post a video maybe explaining this?
I really should try and nudge dad into DIYing one of these platforms instead of buying one of the similarly-sized "toy" RC units, he'll probably have a lot more fun with these.
You know what Dave, I am so tempted to try building one of these. I'm having such a hard time flying my son's mSR. I believe I heard you say these are much easier to pilot. Is that right? Is the tricopter a good one to start with?
@dadde87 Yes. I just tried it again and it works! Before it would just show a graphic of the tricopter, 3D GoPro, quadcopter, etc as a link but nothing would happen. Thanks!
