dude, the FLN did bomb cafes and shops. Look up La bataille d'Alger.(battle of algiers) They were aiming the heavily white settler populated areas.

and not all Algerians supported the FLN. The french army recruted them to fight for them.They were called Hakis - a word now used for traitor.

Did you see how the french soldiers executed those innocent peasants, shooting them with the "carabine" right after pulling them from their tents and then finishing them with the pistol.
