Pacino was so fucking cool in his prime. Don't get me wrong, the man is and always was a legend. But there was something about him in his younger days. Electrifying!
I've been REALLY wanting to see this film but it's unavailable in my country. Not that it's banned or anything - it just hasn't been classified for distribution. One of these days I'll get it off Amazon or DD or something
"Bobby made me feel necessary, safe" I understand why these subcultures fascinate me...a counter-nirvana, a place to belong, that doesn't reject you....
real eerie as 70s movies were.Loosers ,drugs and an overall depressing feel.Bobbys brother was a major creep this was great Pacino was 31 years old GREAT
This is the most raw and stripped down film I have ever seen. The characters are losers, you don't root for them, you don't hope for anything worse, but you can't stop watching them. Bobby and Helen are static, the worst of their addiction didn't lead to death, didn't lead to breaking up, didn't lead to one or the other getting clean, just led to more of the same. The intrigue is the ordinary junkie, no glamor, no big time dealing, just stagnation and the desperation in between hits.
this 1970/71, has hard impact i had to get mine thru import to the good old uk. just a great movie, this for me is 10/10 ,in the uk wont show this great movie -make up your own minds.
Sometimes I think, if I had done such and such or I hadn’t done such and such, that I never would have met Bobby, but that’s not the point, is it? I mean, I would have met Bobby, always. Some Bobby or another. I was looking for him. I don’t know if you understand what I mean, but Bobby made me feel necessary, safe.
Dumb question, but is this Don LaFontaine doing the trailer voiceover?

Very nice face, Kitty Winn. This movie and THE EXORCIST, and that's all she wrote. She sort of got lost in the vomit of THE EXORCIST.

I like this old movie narrator guy better than the movie narrator guy they've got now. Oh, and this is a great flick.
