In certain spots he might call with a weak hand though, sensing weakness or has a good read on the other player (believing he can take the pot away on the flop). Most people (pros included) agree that he is one of the best players currently (note: I said one of, not THE best).

Second, the percentages refer to the percentage chance that somone will be ahead by the river. Now, regardless what the percentages say, tony G was ahead at the point of ALL IN on the flop. Statistically, he was more likely to lose the hand than to win it, but on the flop, at that point in time, tony g had the best hand. does that make sense to you?

This is a good example of why Dwan is a great cash game player but not as great a tournament player.

In cash games all chips are equal value but in tournament play they aren't. Chip modeling would dictate that Tom should have laid down since he was at best a coin flip there and not catching would leave him severely crippled.

Tony G knew that and used it to his advantage, knowing that if Tom didn't have a dominating hand the chip equity would dictate a fold.
