PINK AND BLACK FLAMES: robin moses nail art design tutorial

how long it take for those nails to dry the polish is on so thick which i like but mine never dries properly no matter how long i wait when i put it on thick. any tips?

@maleekmonroe1 thats why i pull the excess polish off with my finger. when you roll the finger from the sides, it takes off the excess and it dries about as fast as regular polish ....maybe a little longer.

@PeetaTeam sure you can use polish..you can use what ever you are comfortable with...for me, it is paint, but TONS of girls prefer polish..i just show my way...what i want you to do is be inspired and find YOUR way and have fun and spread the word of my teaching :) *huge hug* whatever makes you want to keep painting is the way to do it :D

@palexisboyle i have spent my whole life in a salon and have learned a very golden rule.....just be happy. there are days when my clients have terrible news and we cry together and sometimes they are mad...but mostly....they come to laugh and i like laughing....i always promise myself i am going to try and make someones day brighter and in return, they do the same for me..i know its corny...but if you just gossip all day, you go home tired and mean...that is just the truth :) xoxo

I love this nail tutorial but I have a question, how do u get the base and the colors so watery. Do u just add thinner?? Cause I tried this and it didn't look flammy?? Help :) thank u

@TheSuperGirl211 the trick is to have "new" polishes, shake them up very well, have them ready to go....and then work FAST....it takes time and practice to perfect this, but that is all i do...no thinning down....but, the thinner your polish is without being 'watery', the better this design works

@swishstar17 yes, very wet..the design must pull through the wet paint. you can practice by using wet polish on paper using this technique until you get it down and can practice on nails :) xoxo

@angelsandfaes okay...if your bristles are too hard it wont work...(see my striping brush tutorial on my favorites playlist) cutting brushes etc.....and if your polish is too dry, it wont work...so, my suggestion is........use paper....put the three colors on a piece of paper and get faster and faster and faster and get the "feel" of it....then, you will h ave much better success with nails..my love and thanks to you for trying...this one is tricky, but simple once pwned :) *hugggg*

Awesome I absolutely love it def gonna try it when I have the time. Question are there benefits from using regular paint vs nail polish or is it just your preference and makes no difference?

@Lsilentstorm143 paint allows for a million mess ups...you can clean your mess ups with alcohol or water once you begin your design..polish, you get one shot. polish is good for designs like this, but they take practice..i can go back in with paint and make them flawless and if i mess up making them flawless, i can correct myself. most designs i use paint to decorate with, its way easier to work with and cheaper too :)

@suessekati that is why you pull from the sides..it evens it out completely. it takes same amount of time to dry as regular manicure :) xoxoxoxo....if you dont pull from the sides? it takes FOREVER to dry and is ugly. :)

@ILoveNLT if you dont, its too blobby....then, when you go in to make your corrections and perfections at the end of the design, your brush gets stuck in wet polish...also it takes forever to dry plus your nails are lumpy looking :) xoxoxooxoxox
