The main reason I'm going to be buying my Wii this christmas is for the NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 games. I don't want to have to buy all the old systems and have to hook all them up to my home theater setup. One box to play them all is what I'm looking for. I'm going to get a few games like super mario galaxy 2 and twilight princess but I'm buying it mainly for the old games. Happy gaming!!! :D

I want a Wii just for the Virtual Console feature. Can anyone tell me how the storage is handled? I know that the Wii dosen't have a hard drive and I'm curious as to how this is handled. Is there a limit to how many games I can have? Can I store them on memory cards? An explanation would be nice.

While the Wii doesn't have a harddrive technically, it does have 512MB of memory built in. Unless you download lots of N64 and Wiiware games, that will be very hard to fill up. If you need more space, you'll be able to use an SD or SDHC card for extra storage via the "SD card channel" (google it for more info)

Note that there are some rare freak SD cards that don't work, so unless you already have one or two laying around, it may be best to get the official Nintendo-branded SD card.

Oh but beware - putting a game onto an SD does NOT allow you to play it on someone else's wii system. However, the wii system itself is so small and portable that it'd hardly be an issue to just bring the whole system itself :P (and just use your friend's Wii's wire connections and controllers)

No idea what SoraRoxas111 is talking about, but Point CARDS only come in 2000 point amunts. However, if you have a credit card, you can buy 1000, 2000, 3000, or 5000 points at a time.

So unfortunately no just 500 points - my guess is that its to reduce transaction fees and tax.

it depends on how it stops working. If its at the beggining and say you need classic controller try taking out the wii game, or putting the wii on its side. Or use the gamecube controller. You can use the wii remote on nes games also!

You need to pay for the game before you can download it. When you'we payed it gonna be "Downloadble/Downloaded" and then can you download it so much times you want :) but you need wii-points to buy a game.
