@Kenrox01 Activision has a say-so in EVERYTHING that goes in the Call Of Duty and Modern Warfare serious. The reason being Activision is the publisher, Infanity Ward is just a developer. So essentially, Activision makes Call of Duty.
Totalbiscuit how dare you say that it would be okay if MW3 was not released, I happen to be a pc gamer and MW2 is one of the only games I play, MW2 is one of the best FPS ever released, it is and who cares about dedicated servers when the game is fun to play, I did buy BFBC2 and it didn't even compare to MW2. And an answer to your question millions of PC gamers want MW3, non of my friends care about battlefield. Sorry TB but Battlefield 3 will fail and Modern Warfare 3 will be more successful.
@blizzardtube11 most pc gamers care about dedicated servers. it means that the connection isn't dependent on the host so some guy with horrible internet doesn't ruin the game with lag. you can have your own map configs. mw2 doesn't hold a candle to most pc fps because of lack of dedicated servers or mod support. bf3 probably will fail because of no mod support and so will mw3

@Purefearr Microsoft has all the rights to halo as a brand, and Bungie signed a contract with Activision, so even if they wanted to make a new Halo they couldn't. Hopefully 343 which has some people from bungie in it will do a good job with 4.
As far as console/PC, biggest diff is price vs performance, an Xbox is $450, a good gaming computer can be $1000 or more, tough they do have better tech. (And you can use a gamepad on a comp if you want, so mouse/gamepad shouldn't really be an argument)

Heck, I've got a 1tb drive and a 120gb SSD just as my main system with the rest of my media consumption stored elsewhere. Drive space is the cheapest part of a PC minus RAM, which after 4gb still doesn't matter for gaming.
So nice try, but anyone who has a $200 video card in their PC isn't going to be phased by running out of space. Consoles are more likely to with DLC/patches/side-loading.
TB i agree with most your points, however i must state that your comment regarding FPS on consoles being horrid (due to using a pad / controller) is a simple matter of learning it.
Just like we all had issue using our mouse accurately when we were kids and noobs at computer games, you WILL have issues with a controller until you get used to it through hard determination and pure willpower.
FPS with a controller sucks before you get used to it. But when you DO it is equally good, no joke.
@Baleur fanboy talking, just look the difference when you watch playtrough by console gamer and playtrough by pc gamer, the console version is jerky and only move up/down and left/right while pc gamers aim can go all over the place. Also I would like to point out most console FPS have build in aim assist(for examble halo has one) that helps you get your crosshair to enemy

you praise move for being oprional but kinect is just as optional.. and i dont know what games you have played on kinect but when developers put the effort in (Dance Central) the controls can be very accurate. The major problem i think a lot of people have is the unwillingness to try it. the second i actually didnt care how silly i would look dancing to lady gaga i started having a lot of fun with it

I'm waiting for the BF3 beta before I pre-order. I own 3 of the original BF games as well as BFBC2. I'm cautious because BF3 is going to be on consoles as well as the PC, in my eyes Dice do better when they make PC-only titles.
I actually Liked MW2 more then Black Ops. BUT I think that is because I played MW2 more with friends, and that Black Ops just felt just like a bad MW2 clone with 10% more stuff.
But I still played Badcompany 2 more then any of them both, so I will Buy Battlefield3 for me
After buying a 360 and following all my friends that had one and told me that MW2 is sooo awesome I bought it. Same thing with Black Ops. I'm not boy cotting all CoD games from here on.

@JeremyTheGraten Bungie broke up with Microsoft, this was because they did not like what Microsoft was doing, and the reason Halo I is being remade, is because Microsoft got it (and i think #4 aswell), Bungie got everything else. The Call of Duty series always stand by what they are.. Mindless multiplayer FPS games.
The thing about Battlefield.. I played BF2 and i loved it to bits, and it was my favorite game for many years. But, along came Bad Company 2 looking all fancy with it's amazing graphics and good looks and it was a massive dissapointment.. And i just dont trust BF3.. havent seen enough. Good graphics are just not enough!
People always rag on MW2 and now MW3 but if they haven't played it, they've missed the awesome Spec-Ops coop missions (which will supposedly be returning in MW3). Sure they don't make the game worth $60 but once it's discounted (as it sometimes is by 50% on Steam) then it's totally worth picking up for that one mode alone.
Also, with their games and map packs consistently being among the Steam best sellers, day in and day out, I wonder if Activision truly doesn't care about the PC market.
Activision seem to be only interested in how much money they can milk out of a game/s, but unfortunately, many little kids will nag their mothers to buy MW 3...
Whilst I did actually enjoy MW2 (Despite it's, IMO, few flaws) MW3 doesn't seem as attractive to me, Call Of Duty is in it's dying days, and hopefully DICE will fill those fairly large boots left behind, BUT focus on their loyal fan base, rather than those whining Black Ops babies that think everything should bend to their will.
kinect looked really good on Mass Effect mainly to make the commanding of your allies in combat faster and less pause and give direction for them and galaxy map could work for it.. I was dissapointed at the real lack of starwars old republic info though specially no release date

Microsoft doesn't need to release anymore. Xbox seems to be running just fine, and sure kinect needs improvement but it isnt a major issue. The issue is that they are pushing Kinect. It is turning out to be quite a bust.

I'd look to get MW3 for 360, and BF3 for PC. Call of Duty is just something that everybody can play and is so popular it's nice to own a copy because you can shoot some mindless idiots for a couple hours with your friends and enjoy. BF3 for me will be something for myself, when I'm bored and want to shoot precisely with my mouse. I think both will be great games, regardless of peoples views of each.

I just watched all the E3 footage for ME3 and I have to say they added alot more platforming and from what I saw, its bassically ME2 with nicer graphics and some elements are back from ME1. I dont think it was gimmicky at all. I forgot who it was that said it, but , he said that ME3 will change the way RPGs are made.

And you said "have to make aim assist to noobs who play with pads", of course noobs (people who arent used to pads and arent good at fps games) need aim assist, as they would in a PC fps if they werent used to using a mouse. lol

@Baleur you see, they dont make aim assist to PC because on PC thats called cheating and you get BANNED for doing it. console FPS need that kind of system cause its inaccurate otherwise. in some games you may turn the aim assist off but in some games you cant even do that. your opponent can use the aim assist with no punishment. as said mouse and keyboard is way superior in accuracy. if you dont belive me then belive TB

you praise move for being oprional but kinect is just as optional.. and i dont know what games you have played on kinect but when developers put the effort in (Dance Central) the controls can be very accurate. The major problem i think a lot of people have is the unwillingness to try it. the second i actually didnt care how silly i would look dancing to lady gaga i started having a lot of fun with it

@WirlWind494 .... well, then the price went up from the launch (!?) :/ atm the game is USD 14.95 on the official website and Polish stores (including Internet ones) sell a boxed version for USD 19.11 (GBP 11.74) minimum T_____T Last night I managed to get the full, original game with a gaming magazine for USD 2.57 (GBP 1.58) which is such a great price for me. I'm bananas for TQ Immortal Throne and Torchlight seems to have a similar mechanics. Can't wait to get it (until then - demo) ^.^

I'm waiting for the BF3 beta before I pre-order. I own 3 of the original BF games as well as BFBC2. I'm cautious because BF3 is going to be on consoles as well as the PC, in my eyes Dice do better when they make PC-only titles.

I actually Liked MW2 more then Black Ops. BUT I think that is because I played MW2 more with friends, and that Black Ops just felt just like a bad MW2 clone with 10% more stuff.

@JeremyTheGraten Bungie broke up with Microsoft, this was because they did not like what Microsoft was doing, and the reason Halo I is being remade, is because Microsoft got it (and i think #4 aswell), Bungie got everything else. I THINK the thing they didn't like, (and yes they are going to do this) is how they are turning the Kinect into a marketing tool by monitering ppl 24/7 (Seeing how many ppl are sitting on the couch watching a football game. Listening to what ppl are talking about etc.)!

I wont dispute that BF3 is better played on a PC but I really don't have the money to get a PC that will run it properly :/. Im so looking forward to BF3 on xbox 360 though and after everything I've seen for MW3 I'm strongly considering not getting it because I know whats going to happen. I'll get it, have fun with it for a few months, and then get bored and frustrated. It happened with every CoD title after World at War (the last really good CoD title imo). So I am with this MW boycott.

I will rather play MW3 than BF3 just from personal experience..
The Call of Duty series always stand by what they are.. Mindless multiplayer FPS games.
The thing about Battlefield.. I played BF2 and i loved it to bits, and it was my favorite game for many years. But, along came Bad Company 2 looking all fancy with it's amazing graphics and good looks and it was a massive dissapointment.. And i just dont trust BF3.. havent seen enough. Good graphics are just not enough!

People always rag on MW2 and now MW3 but if they haven't played it, they've missed the awesome Spec-Ops coop missions (which will supposedly be returning in MW3). Sure they don't make the game worth $60 but once it's discounted (as it sometimes is by 50% on Steam) then it's totally worth picking up for that one mode alone.
Also, with their games and map packs consistently being among the Steam best sellers, day in and day out, I wonder if Activision truly doesn't care about the PC market.

Activision seem to be only interested in how much money they can milk out of a game/s, but unfortunately, many little kids will nag their mothers to buy MW 3...
Whilst I did actually enjoy MW2 (Despite it's, IMO, few flaws) MW3 doesn't seem as attractive to me, Call Of Duty is in it's dying days, and hopefully DICE will fill those fairly large boots left behind, BUT focus on their loyal fan base, rather than those whining Black Ops babies that think everything should bend to their will.

kinect looked really good on Mass Effect mainly to make the commanding of your allies in combat faster and less pause and give direction for them and galaxy map could work for it.. I was dissapointed at the real lack of starwars old republic info though specially no release date

Microsoft doesn't need to release anymore. Xbox seems to be running just fine, and sure kinect needs improvement but it isnt a major issue. The issue is that they are pushing Kinect. It is turning out to be quite a bust.

I'd look to get MW3 for 360, and BF3 for PC. Call of Duty is just something that everybody can play and is so popular it's nice to own a copy because you can shoot some mindless idiots for a couple hours with your friends and enjoy. BF3 for me will be something for myself, when I'm bored and want to shoot precisely with my mouse. I think both will be great games, regardless of peoples views of each.

I just watched all the E3 footage for ME3 and I have to say they added alot more platforming and from what I saw, its bassically ME2 with nicer graphics and some elements are back from ME1. I dont think it was gimmicky at all. I forgot who it was that said it, but , he said that ME3 will change the way RPGs are made.
