They did, the book itself is old enough, the ink is modern. The diary turned out to be a hoax.

The fact is that most professionals DOES NOT WANT the case to be solved, BECAUSE these people, "Ripperologists", make their living from the Case. And they're not the only ones. Let's not forget the people who earn their bread and butter by giving people tours in London where the murders occured. My point is that most people who work with the Ripper Case doesn't want the case to be solved by anyone else, and are therefore denying every possible solution brought forward by anyone than themselves.

exactly - one of them - the goulstonghost who posts videos of the murder sites on youtube - blocks people from commenting if they disagree with him. the man is an amateur who is trying to cash in by promoting his ripper tours via youtube. these so called ripperologists are not much better than the ripper himself - preying on unfortunates. how sad that they can only earn a living by duping dumb tourists. im down on ripperologists and wont quit ripping until im buckled.

I think Alan Moore played with that thought in his graphic-novel "from hell," It's a possibillity!
If there weren't any motives and it was just a serial killer he would have kept on killing until he got caught. But he stopped after I think it was five people. So it must have been a personal thing.

The only thing thei're shure of is that it was probably a uper class man, cause a woman or a person from a lower class would seldom have the oppurtunity to study medisin. The ripper showed knoledge of anatomy so many scientists blive he was a doctor.
