  • mmm

  • one way in which they could help the search is by comparing the hand writing to the old letters that were supposedly written by jack the ripper to the police. not that it will 100% confirm it is him, but i think it would help a lot

  • @scentless2apprentice Most of the letters are believed to be hoaxes. However, handwriting analysis WAS done on the diary and the person to whom it supposedly belongs, James Maybrick, and the writing didn't match.

  • It was James Maybrick i tell you.

  • how can we be so sure that the ripper was a man and not a woman

  • @kailasfreak Because people identified the killer as a male. They simply never saw his face...

  • Why didn't they just carbon-date the diary?

  • @13BlueCrimson Because there are lots of old victorian books around. Just because the book is old doesn't mean it wasn't written in later.

  • We'll never know who he was.

  • Listen, people. At the end of this doco, the Ripper experts agree that either the diary is genuine or that it was written after 1987 and that any other explaination is impossible. The scientists who tested the paper and the ink said that it was impossible that the book was written after the 1930's. There's our answer. James Maybrick was Jack the Ripper.

  • lowcomdey's comment gave me a belly laugh. 10 thumbs up for you lowcomedy!!

  • These authors are just fucking jealous

  • I bet it was the member of the royal family always the elite and secret clubs can cover this up easy...but my theory still stands its was a royal member

  • The name originated in a letter, written by someone claiming to be the murderer, that was disseminated in the media

He didn't call himself Jack the Ripper. It's fake.

  • @NeonLyfe This is indeed true, and I think the diary is a fake.

However, after the press referred to him as Jack the Ripper, he could theoretically start to call himself that to identify himself (just as he might call himself "The Whitechapel Murderer").

  • Theres no reason to Kill whores, they are already dead Inside.

  • @ZombieOrchestra thats why some choose´s them as victims, because they are already dead inside no one will miss them

  • Oh good - - all we have to do is figure out who in Whitechapel had two kids and was being cheated on by his wife. Problem solved.

  • He /or she,.sure hated strong women!

  • i know y the guy in the glasses n orange sweater thinks it's a hoax cuz he has his own views on the ripper murders that he claims to be real n if this turns out to be real then he won't sell to many copies of his book.

  • so is this genuine or what

  • @nitewolf89 No, it's a hoax. Barrett admitted it in 1995 and signed an affidavit to the affect. You can find it if you do a google search.

  • jack the ripper never refered to himself as jack the ripper

    this is fake

  • @ghosttrain22 There is 3 letters that is believed to be authentic (however they are of course always debated), and in the "Saucy Jacky" letter he signed it "Jack the ripper", so that is not a reason to believe this is fake. There is other reasons, but reference to the name is not one of them.

  • Barret also claimed to dying of cancer with only 2 weeks to live. He claimed to have forged the diary when Martin Howells refused to pay him any more money. It is now public knowledge that the diary came from Barrets wife Ann whose father was a direct desendent from the 20 year affair between Maybrick and Sarah Robertson. Anne knew her husband was suffering depression and gave the diary to Tony for him to then give it to Barret so he would have something to take his mind off his situation.

  • @TheSpikefm I'm very interested in this case, how did you come by this info about barrets wife?

    Many thanks : )

  • I dunno why people are picking on Barrett. IMO he is telling the truth, you can tell in his eyes, so either the bloke who gave him it was winding him up knowing it was a hoax, or whoever gave it to the bloke has wound them both up. Personally I think it probably went way back to someone who forged it as a joke, probably passed around a few times.

  • Jack was a seaman from Germany

  • @bumholio lol everybody blames the germans, why do you say that?

  • the "medicine" he took also was popular at the time to make one's skin look white, it was used by men and woman alike. For example in the "wild west" ladies of "comfort" took it to give them energy and to make the skin whitter so male clients would what they paid for, sex for sale and a white skinned woman.

  • Oh yeah, they will hang someone in Britain for this (1888) but today they won't lift a finger against murderers of a certain hateful ideology.

  • "jack" as they called him, wasnt powerful,he was just lucky, plain and simple.

  • @TheMYERSFAN25 and nuts (Y dose he remind me of Dr. jackal and Mr.Hide)

  • Have they matched the print with original letters of the Ripper? possably the same ink used would help confirm Authenticity or the hand writting?, Although with the hand writing being publicly exposed it could be copied?.

I think personaly its the diary of Jack the ripper so far im convinced.

The facts about the information and the lack of, makes it seem very authentic at face value.

  • @Stringyheads Michael Barrett has signed a sworn affidavit that he forged the diary. Just enter Barrett's name with Jack the Ripper into google and several websites including the actual document are listed.

  • @rainbowpride76 Ok I'll take your word for it, what a flop, Pretty good forge then.

  • @rainbowpride76 Ripped off

  • @Stringyheads Absolutely. (Like the pun by the way!!)

  • @rainbowpride76 I just read what you put after I posted.

Well you can knock me down with a feather now.

  • People will believe what they want to believe. I got other things to do.

  • Florence, and her lover Alfred Brierly, when he used the words whore/whoremaster. but you made a good point tho, and it does fit the description.

  • sorry i have to correct myself. the diary did come down from barret (micheal)'s wife's side of the family, but she's related and descended from Mayrbrick's Wife's side of the family! not from Sarah Robertson's children. sorry, it had been quite some time since i've read the books. my bad. @mishyprizes, i did see something yesterday that maybrick may have mixed emotions towards his mother, but towards his father he was "ambivilent". it is established that he was talking about his wife

  • Did the author ever call the "whore" his wife? I don't think that he did? The whore could be his mother and the whoremaster his father. If this is the case then that fits the usual description of sexually driven serial killers. Someone that has an obsessive, abusive and even sexual relationship with his mother.

  • @mishyprizes Hmm, Good point and plausable. That is thinking out side the square

  • children, and the diary came down thru that side of the family. i've never everrrr believed that carbon dating (one of the main testing methods used) to be an accurate way of telling the age of something. look how it botched the testing of the shroudofturin. i like maybrick for this. he Knew things only the murderer would know. the later books are really good reads, and convinced me that maybrick is the..."doer." *sinister laugh*

  • you guys that think that the diary is a forgery, you need to read the subsequent books on the subject. the diary has since undergone more testing to prove the age of the paper, ink, and the diary's provenance. i never trusted barrett as far as i could throw him, but there's no way he had the wherewithal to pull off a hoax such as this. the diary came from his Wife's family. authors of later books did a geneaological search of her family. she's a descendant of maybrick's older, illegitmate

  • well, considering that Barrett later admitted to forging the diary......

  • "... Unless he can say, well, here's the proof, we don't think he should be using me dad's name."

And how would he go about proving it anyway? I cannot speak for everyone, but I never ask any of the persons who have given me presents to sign a document as proof that they gave me any gifts.

  • Does anyone know where to find a free census of the people who lived in whitechapel during 1888?

  • this doku isn't bad. but at last it's only a ingenious preparation of paul feldman and the theories in his book.

  • Too bad couldn't have the quality investigation performed on the events of 911. They'd have found Jack the Ripper's passport and a tape of a man claiming to be Jack the Ripper confessing and able to present it on their corrupt controlled media. Then determine whether the oblivious bought their bullshit while labeling and legitimate search a conspiracy. Any Priests get re-located about the time Jack the Ripper vanished? Den of evil wolves in sheeps clothing known as the Jesuits run the Vatican.

  • The diary was a fraud, the ink and paper wasnt from that time, and police checked handwriting, and it dont matched....

  • @abductedbyaliens8892 understanding what you are saying about the ink and paper... the handwriting not matching is pointless... it assumes that the letters sent to the police were from the actual Ripper...

  • real or not, this diary was written by one twisted mind

  • "none of them went to the light and still haunt the underworld"

what are you trying to express by that?

  • @MissNasentier angry souls dont go to the light , theres no angry people in heaven , they stay in realms in the underworld . untill they take responsibility for there anger

  • how would you know?

  • @MissNasentier becuase i speak to the spirit world often

  • Oro?

  • And how do you know that "none of them went to the light"?

  • @Mallegay only mary kelly went to the light , for she was a multipul incarnation of jack the the ripper, jack the ripper killed himself when he killed mary kelly two different bodies same soul

  • @1974PeaceMaker what the fucking hell are you talking about

  • @1974PeaceMaker IDIOT Jack the ripper was Winston Churchill's father.

  • Joseph Barnett looks good for it to me. Some unemployed bloke that just wanted his missus to not return to prostitution. His story is the most plausible.

  • I think the Mexicans that live on my block did it

  • Si, the murder weapon was stale tortillas.

  • you're absolutely right

  • The Ripper himself is a myth, a romanticized revision of history, it was a lousy destitute murderer that was probably inane and institutionalized or else died anonymous and unremarkable., no conspiracies, no sexy resumes or life style backgrounds, no royalty or masons, just a demented butcher that got away with it because of primitive forensics.

  • I love Paul Dodd -

'You might be living in Jack the Ripper's house!!!'

'Well, the electrics have always been a bit funny...'

  • Interesting . . . . . . .

  • Martin Fido you are imbecilic cretin personified.

  • Barnett admitted the "Diary" was a fake on multiple occasions- but it had already become such a huge cash-cow by then that his initial supporters chose not to believe him! And it still goes on & on... So ironic.

  • Well, at least its an impressive work of fiction, we live in a world that likes to adopt fictions as truths.

  • he admited it was fake cause of the stress he went through showing the diary he lost his marriage for 1 so he said it was fake 2 get them of his back

  • Martin Fido looks like a paedo..

  • i think it was a woman!!!!! FDO MASSIVE!!!!!!!

  • I thin kit was a mad cow, knife wielding and stampeding, thus thus bruises on the corpses.

  • Never trust a scouser, thieving lying scallies.

  • Lol

  • hmmm....

  • Considering that Barret admitted to forging the diary, the only logical suspect that remains is: Mary Poppins.

  • I've long suspected this, too bad there was not papparazzi back then "Jack! Jack! Can you wield the knife above yuor head?! Angle it like you are really about to dig in! Beautiful pics! Thank you!"

  • he must of died in the war..

  • they found the diary of .....HARRY POTTER!

  • jack the ripper cant be alive still because think abought it 1888 from 2008 it will be like a thousand years sooooooo jack the ripper died

but his legacy will never be forgoten

  • I think you need to freshen up on your math. 2008 - 1888 = 120 So that was only 120 years ago. He is dead tho.

  • if JTR was 0 when he did the killings he would be 120. The only thing of him still alive is his legacy to hate whores.

  • This is not true. Jack the Ripper was a conspiracy not just on person. It was done by the Royal family. . . there is no Diary. These people are just trying to make money.

  • oh, right... that makes sense!

'hey, I'm in the mood to kill five whores from white chapel and rip their organs to pieces! who's with me?'

  • Ha ha i love sarcasm

  • im with you :D

  • I think the two prime candidates are considered to be Francis Tumbelty, Robert Donstoun and Montague John Druitt. Aleister Crowley suggested it was Donstoun, and who am I to dispute with him?

  • Where can I get one of those Ripperometers?

  • yeah when he was 45 in 1888, and it is now 2008 im pretty sure he is alive

  • are you joking?

  • Its sarcasim

  • The Ripper was Peter Sutcliffe.

  • Wow, that would make him about 140 when he started his Yorkshire spree. Can't be ruled out though..

  • Could have been Springheeled Jack...

    Springheeled Jack The Ripper!!!

  • An urban myth doing the works of someone who has become an urban myth; I'll buy it.

  • @mabakiel666 how do you kno tht was the guy who rlly did it do u have poof?or sumone told u? i want to kno

  • @purtysweet No he is dead \, how come some guy lives that long for 2 centuries.

  • @WolfsFangFist6197 he must have found the fountain of youth

  • @purtysweet He would have to be 168 to be alive today and no one on this planet has been older then 122.

  • can't science date the book?

  • They did, the book itself is old enough, the ink is modern. The diary turned out to be a hoax.

  • The fact is that most professionals DOES NOT WANT the case to be solved, BECAUSE these people, "Ripperologists", make their living from the Case. And they're not the only ones. Let's not forget the people who earn their bread and butter by giving people tours in London where the murders occured. My point is that most people who work with the Ripper Case doesn't want the case to be solved by anyone else, and are therefore denying every possible solution brought forward by anyone than themselves.

  • I think Alan Moore played with that thought in his graphic-novel "from hell," It's a possibillity!

If there weren't any motives and it was just a serial killer he would have kept on killing until he got caught. But he stopped after I think it was five people. So it must have been a personal thing.

  • The only thing thei're shure of is that it was probably a uper class man, cause a woman or a person from a lower class would seldom have the oppurtunity to study medisin. The ripper showed knoledge of anatomy so many scientists blive he was a doctor.

  • he could of studied it for all w eknow but yes many doctors were suspected

  • Crazydude3215... Offcourse.. It could have been a woman with a slightly morbid interes in anatomy.. Good thought...

  • thankyou it could be a butcher, or a normal man hell maybe even a woman like you said who studied medical knowledge maybe it was a doctor fired from his business

  • Yes, and getting fired could also be pissing him of, amongst other things !

  • exactly

  • Probably a fake, yes. Forge the diary and see it go down in histoy!

  • i believe the diary is fake

  • Joesph barnett thats all you need to know!

  • do the words UNSOLVED CASE mean anything to you

ok lets throw out some other names

    Prince Albert Victor

    William Gull

    WALT DISNEY

unless you can travel in time then you cannot prove a damn thing

  • @Iain1983 how do you know

I think it was just a mad and unstable man

  • ooohhhh
