I will have to buy a Sterno stove and a Trangia burner from a internet store as I can only find steel Chinese copy in local stores. Stock up on denatured alcohol before 2012. I have a Coglans stove it weighs nearly a pound and it should last a lifetime if kept dry.
With a consumer version of the Trangia burner, get a cat food can, take off the top, drill some holes in it to let the heat out, and it works perfectly.
I have several Sterno stoves. MUCH experimentation has led me to the conclusion that the Sterno is best for actual cooking, as opposed to just heating water. I have at least a dozen variations of alcohol burners and such - I keep going back to the Sterno.
oh cr*p i just got some info on my burner and its the same as yours......SVEA and trangia were actually one company at one time....in about 60-80's they split....but your svea holds more fuel than a trangia......same as mine..
I have the commercial version of the Trangia Stove, which doesn't fit properly in the Sterno Stove, as you pointed out. I did however make a modification which makes the smaller stove fit. I've posted a video response so that anyone with the smaller commercial stove can use it with the Sterno Stove. I hope you like it, and hope it proves useful to someone.
is there anything i could buy like this stove in the uk? I have that trianga burner but not that stove :(

@funkykid - see my other video using a wire-frame stand as I think it is a better way to use a trangia.

A sterno stove and burner.
I think that the differentiation of these words faded away with the birth of a gasoline burner and the gas burner.
The differentiation of these words has a very important meaning now.
The Swedish Trangia is a splendid company. They handed down the most splendid stove which the human must not forget.
It is "Storm cooker". It can boil water more surely than a gas burner in the outdoor.
However, the development could not but be over halfway. I think so
