@larbo1616 Kata is set routines of techniques, like a formal curriculum. It is a little dance like. Prearragned to make sure nothing is missed. A couple of the judo katas are self-defense, but pretty much all the judo techniques are in one kata or another.
IJF is starting with a new kind of competition called "Judo-show". People can show judo and other techniques in their own choreography. The title Renzoku-No-Kata is wrong, that would implicit it were only tachi-waza counters on techniques of uke. More known of that is the Gonosen-No-Kata, desinged by Kawaishi. Nonetheless... not bad to practice coördination in training.

Can I ask someone what kata is? I thought that in Judo it were the techniques suitable for self-defense.

BJJ has no kata as far as I know. It is fairly informal in its training compared to other martial arts.

Nice poetry, very rythmic, and outstanding display of form and physical aptitude!

Alright, that was admittedly really cool when they did it in reverse.

Perfectly controlled. The move at 00:52 seems over extravagant but you can't knoeck its execution.
