lol I know I'm extra late, but I had to let you know that you're not alone as far as tasting/smelling your hair. That's how I judge how much the front of my hair has grown, "Can I smell it/taste it?" Thought I was the only one!
Shaving my hair off a little over 2 years ago and going natural was the best decision I ever made...lol! So I know how you feel. Nice growth! I'm doing my own Growth Challenge (stared Nov. and ends in May 2011). PSing and Growth Aids all the way (miconazole nitrate, sulfur, and WGO). Hopefully I will get my Hairfinity vitamins soon...God Bless and HHG!
@happynappyable Sorry for replying so late. The bald spot was gone in about 3 months. COmpletely gone. I did MTG, The monistae and the Hairfinity pills. so I cant say for sure which worked, or maybe it was just time...who knows.
I guess I've tasted my hair as well, I usuall hold it in my mouth when I'm flat ironing it.....I know its weird because I could just pin it up...but its just easier to hold it between my lips, lol!!!
@msthang020 my hair is natural meaning has not been process a texturizer is like a kiddy perm its not as strong and it processes your hair just not as much....so personally I wouldnt feel natural but one of my natural friends did it and it just took some of the kinky out of her hair...n my eyes it looks a mess but thats just me...I straighten my hair and when i wet it it goes back to the fro state .
Hey..Aren't we all just a bit crazy? LOL.. Sorry for not writing more..Im in another challenge ..this time Im going the distance...4 months! Since my hair didnt lock last time I went three months, Im gonna push it. Ill check daily of course to see what going on, but I know that I'll have the length I want by April1 . Then its one more challenge from April to July... I have a convention in July that I want to wear my hair out for.
You're doing so well with this challenge. I'm doing my own challenge of 6 months (yikes!) but I'm 1/3 in so I'm wishing us both luck and tons of hair growth =)
Thanks ladies..yes, indeed it took me a whole week to get those suckers out. But I think that's why it grew..I didn't get to mess with it like I usually do. I was supposed to do a blow out today but Ive been busy with work so just deep conditioned and put the Color Purple braids in. Whenever I catch up, Im gonna blow it out , trim and rebraid.
lol! That's funny! Definitely keep trimming! I've always had natural hair but it would always stay the same length until i started getting trims about twice a year sometimes once a year. Also Jamaican black Castor oil works really well for me.
You had me laughing! I want to see if I can smell my hair now. LOL. You're brave getting those tiny braids. It took you a week to take them out?! I can't see doing that. They do look pretty when I see them in peoples' hair. Talk with you soon. God Bless.
MSM, Biotin, and Silica grew my hair to waist length pretty fast. I try to tell people not to forget the MSM! LOL --thanks for sharing
