@Razorokc because squirrels are scavenging ass rodents. birds have beautiful variety and are far more picky about what they eat. oh wait, gotta go shoot a squirrel off the feeder right now.
I have a post feeder also. The squirrels would take a run at the post, grab it about half way up then shinny the rest of the way to the bird seed. So, I hit on the idea of applying petroleum jelly all over the pole. I watched a few squirrels take that run, grab onto the post, and their weight would fling them doing a 180 into the air. Freaking hilarious!
I fail to understand the people crying about animal abuse. He quite clearly states that it's harmless, and this video shows that it IS quite clearly harmless. It's like the shock humans get when they touch a statically charged object, I would assume.
i have an anti Squirrel device it works every time and its good for the birds too. its called a haris hawk. funny cos every time i use it the Squirrel never comes back. lol
So sweet,Mr Squirrel got a good shock. I think they are a very big problam for most people who feed birds.Even same to me,Many times for a day he come to my garden and eat all the bird food at bird tables and feeders.. (Pla look at my 2videos) and others are the starlins. They also same.

i love squirrels and i think they are a hell of a lot more deserving of food then birds are. however the vid description says he has a squirrel feeder so thats cool.
Is this something you bought or something you pieced together? I wouldn't mind hearing the details if it worked. I feed our squirrels regularly but would certainly like a way to keep them out of the bird feeders too.

@brad92252 it was a harmless shock to keep the squirrel from eating all the bird food, which they are notorious for doing.
