Fair dinkin you blokes,,, 90% of our diggers from the ww1 enlistment was from the bush.. These blokes travelled between stations looking for work. Waltzing matilda is about a bloke shoving a sheep into the matilda (Backpack, Tucker bag)) and the waltzing reference is the travelling through the bush. @robenlish Agreed! lol Personally, having lived in the UK, and now the US, I don't see what is so confusing either... It's a footie match, for God's sake. Waltzing Matilda being sung at a match is like having the National Anthem sung at any big sports match in the States. Never been to Oz, but I would love to see your country/continent . Nope....are you knew to reading comments? I've known the song for 50 years and I read the description...but I still don't have a clue as to how it applies to the video with all the pageantry. It's a folk song and doesn't seem to go with that. Not sure how you figure that makes me new to the internet unless you are just looking for folks to correct and be-little, like tons of other snobby youtube users.
