  • @shadowmaster05 Thanks for the clarification. I'm not going to lie; I didn't do a rhythmic or harmonic analysis of the piece. I just wanted to grab the notes and be able to play it along with the recording and play it without the aid of the recording. There's a lot going on and it's well worth the dedication to lifting it. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • Actually the A section is 3. and the B Section is in 4 But Chris moves where the emphasised beat from 1 to 3. It's a really hip but tricky thing! Keep working at it!

  • @juankliss I don't have the score. I transcribed Train as part of a project I started in January: I'm transcribing a song a month. I lift the melody and as much of a solo as possible. I don't write anything down.

    I want to encourage you to transcribe it. Everything Chris Potter plays is logical. Train is based on a motive that is played in different keys in the A Section followed by an odd meter groove section.
