  • Trinidad & Tobago

  • Thanks MightySpoiler & ScorpioPetey!

  • Forgot to thank you, ScorpioPetey, for posting this. As usual, just beautiful music from Shadow, music that wouldn't come from anyone else. He is one of the rare artists who makes me glad to be alive. Cheers.

  • @ScorpioPetey

Thanks for posting . The mighty man is from Kitty in Guyana originally. His folk then moved to Tobago and he spent most of his time in Trinidad. Soca itself was first heard in Guyana on the border with Venuszela. Check these things out please and let the soca loving public know the truth. Love.

  • This is soca yes!!!! Ah still searching to find these albums. Play soca, mek dis Guyanese wine down boy.

  • Nice tune, Shadow is one of my favorites. ScorpioPetey, you have a great selection of 1970s-1980s soca!

If you have "Way Way Out" from Shadow's Raw Energy album, can you post that too?

  • Art DeCoteau was a very good arranger to Shadow. He worked with Shadow from 1974 to 1987. But sadly this talented arranger died the same year. When he arranged Shadow's album in 1987. DeCoteau's work can be recognize in Kitchener's music, Maestro's music, and Sparrow's music.

  • You said it my friend. This is when soca was soca.

  • real soca music those days were the best of times.
