how the fuck do you teach songwriting without making it sound like all of the mainstream shit that these talentless artists shit out and make millions from. there shouldn't be a structure to creativity and if people didn't follow these structures, music would be a lot different. this is contradictory to what i just said, but structure is good for beginners because if they're not familiar with music then they probably wont be able to make a song sound good without a bit of order in their songs
