I'm excited, yet saddened at the same time. Video games used to be so original. Some still are. But ever since the Call of Duty and Halo franchises starting raping their games, and trying to make them more glamorous, they've lost touch with the point of a game. SSX is falling into this. It's a god dammed racing game, why do we need a corny trailer and probably a corny story? SSX is about crazy shit and racing, not commercialization. If you want consumers, listen to them morons. Snowboarding as a sport has been very under explored in video games in general. also glamor ARE YOU KIDDING. lets talk about glamor [alluring beauty or charm] realism != glamor.

Now I will admit part of what drew me to SSX was the fact it was so cartoony.

as for the rest i fail to see why you think EA is going to add story.

1. its going to shift towards realism

2. the tracks will be designed to seem scary

3. EA can't think to design anything that doesn't fit the current marketing norm

I can understand people's thoughts over this but I never really played SSX 3, certainly, because it was bright and colourful I played it because it was smooth and crisp and well put together SSX was truly ground breaking we wouldn't have the likes of Skate or Burnout if it weren't for aspects of SSX. Instead of immediately casting it out why not play it first. I personally think this will be the best game I've ever played definite pre-order and a beta tester here?! Personal message EA? is it on?

The trailer looks so stupid. It should have been skiing because you can't use a wing suit and snowboard at the same time you would die instantly. I'm pretty shocked at lack of thought they put into that. I mean seriously ssx was great on the PS2 but if you want it to be big mountain and with wingsuits it has to be a skiing game not a snowboard game.

First I found out Forza 4 is coming out with kinect on 360, which I will get on top of GT5, when I can fork out for a PS3 than I stumble upon this after 5 yrs of waiting, thinking they would never make another SSX. This is such a let down. I loved SSX for it's crazy, over-the-top, arcade like game play. This seems to take a much more serious approach which I hate. I dislike the color palette. Where are the bright colors of the old SSX? Where are the characters we love? The old SSX was perfect, all it needs is some updated graphics and a few new surprises.
