I can't believe how many assholes post bull shit. Jason, you're doing a great job and a GREAT SERVICE for truly serious growers!!! I've found that curing is one of the most important aspects of growing kick ass smoke. The longer you let your buds cure, the more potent it becomes. Too many people don't take the time to do this properly. And THAT'S why I decided years ago to grow my own. I haven't had to buy smoke "off the street" for years now. And mine is better than anything I've paid 4!

Curing never takes a month! It is an added methodology used at the end of the drying stage. The stem should not snap when curing starts for that is where the dry exterior draws the dampness back into the bud. This is why one must remember to open the Jars every 12hrs and allow the now damp cannabis to dry again. Check the stem if it snaps curing is done and storage in air tight containers. This is why good cannabis with a good cure does not just crumble!

I am impress with the knowledge you imply with every one of your videos, and am wondering if its true if water curing helps increase thc? i have not heard any professionals talk about this method, so im wondering if its even worth giving it a try. Hay Jason, Thanks for the posts on curing! I was told to cure in dark glass jars if I could get ahold of them. Reason being UV light ( I was told) breaks down the thc and "transforms" or breaks down chemical make up making your medicene less potent. Im comming new to this stuff and my firts batch ended up smelling like hay because of improper drying/curing. Relative humidity/heat being my first mistake and poorly timed burping cycles 2nd. Having a beautiful crop that smells like nothing sucks!

Dude I have a team of helpers and indeed it is allot of work. I guess it is up to the group and strength of it projects to make anything work. Dedication and loyalityus hard to find but we have a great group and a foundation of all legal growers a few Drs and so forth... Just took us awhile to get started!

No my friend you need about 90% dry then through a process of burping the jars or taking the lids off for a few hrs then back on. Repeat this step till the twig snaps and then you got the cure. If it smell like lawn grass going in it will smell that way comming out.

@morningmayan If you want to add fruit the only thing I will use is orange peels,it doesnt take alot of them,I have also tried Mango peels but let them dry a little before you throw em in,it only takes 2to3 days don't leave them in to long or mold will ruin your crop.

They never should have smelt that way prior to curing. When curing is screwed up that taste and smell is what your smelling. Organics brings out the essential oils in the plant. Flavionids and Terpenes which reside outside the Trichome.
when i cut my plants down do i leave them as a hole plant as they hang upside down? and how long do u think untill i start curing? lovin the vids mate!!!
Leaving the leaves on is a slower drying method however protects the trichomes on the plants.
As for when can you cure that is strain dand ependant just as it is age dependant. A small plant with small buds with proper airflow 4 days and if large plants with large cola than clearly more water is in the plant and you can add a couple days. Curing is an art that need attention. If you mess up you mould the cannabis or at worst you loose you smell (terpenese)!

We have the same attitude towards growing one must be vigualant and always stive to better you skills. After 11 years of growing and studying I still am learning about microbiology university text.
God comment and advice to all or all will be lost. If your doing a big show or a small one like mine with 12 lights the cost if you screw up a cost in eletricity alone is around $700 with state of the art exuipment.

U should be more relaxed and not doing pose. That's posing. Sh*t u must be saying "damn this guys noticing my gestures" but why not keeping the head normal and reaching the lighter close to ur mouth and respective joint? Why the other way around reaching and twisting the head down there? I only smoke indoors that's why I noticed that.
@chinchoweed NO NEVER use plastic bags or containers during the curing process it will bring mold and RUIN your hard work! When I'm curing large amounts like that I hang my stalks upside down until I'm done trimming. Then I get the large paper bags at the grocery store. Open the bag laying on its side, lay in ONE layer of buds inside and on one side of the grocery bag, keep bag on its side and fold top over and close. Don't move it around too much.

No way man, curing is essential. It allows the terpenoids,favanoids, and cannabinoids to full mature. Much like wine. Harvest, drying and curing is an art unto itself.
Yes if medicinally qualified and lucky enough to find a doctor to fill out the 32 page application then one could become lisenced to grow and use cannabis in Canada.
This said only 4000 + lisences have been issued in the 8 years the program has been in effect with an estimated 2 million Canadian medical cannabis users.
A program by exemption rather than a legal law is what we have in Canada.

Can we cure the leaves the same way too, I know they contain much less THC than the buds, but I have lots of leaves now (and am thinking to make hash oil with them) since the plant is still small, and the buds very small to harvest.

They never should have smelt that way prior to curing. When curing is screwed up that taste and smell is what your smelling. Organics brings out the essential oils in the plant. Flavionids and Terpenes which reside outside the Trichome.

Leaving the leaves on is a slower drying method however protects the trichomes on the plants.
As for when can you cure that is strain dand ependant just as it is age dependant. A small plant with small buds with proper airflow 4 days and if large plants with large cola than clearly more water is in the plant and you can add a couple days. Curing is an art that need attention. If you mess up you mould the cannabis or at worst you loose you smell (terpenese)!

We have the same attitude towards growing one must be vigualant and always stive to better you skills. After 11 years of growing and studying I still am learning about microbiology university text.
God comment and advice to all or all will be lost. If your doing a big show or a small one like mine with 12 lights the cost if you screw up a cost in eletricity alone is around $700 with state of the art exuipment.

thanks for the info man.. if you hang the buds to dry for 7+ days (so the branches snap) and then switch to curing with jars in this way would this draw even more moisture out? what i meen is: would the stalks bend and not snap when you take one out and berp the jar?

U should be more relaxed and not doing pose. That's posing. Sh*t u must be saying "damn this guys noticing my gestures" but why not keeping the head normal and reaching the lighter close to ur mouth and respective joint? Why the other way around reaching and twisting the head down there? I only smoke indoors that's why I noticed that.

@chinchoweed NO NEVER use plastic bags or containers during the curing process it will bring mold and RUIN your hard work! When I'm curing large amounts like that I hang my stalks upside down until I'm done trimming. Then I get the large paper bags at the grocery store. Open the bag laying on its side, lay in ONE layer of buds inside and on one side of the grocery bag, keep bag on its side and fold top over and close. Don't move it around too much.

No way man, curing is essential. It allows the terpenoids,favanoids, and cannabinoids to full mature. Much like wine. Harvest, drying and curing is an art unto itself.

Yes if medicinally qualified and lucky enough to find a doctor to fill out the 32 page application then one could become lisenced to grow and use cannabis in Canada.
This said only 4000 + lisences have been issued in the 8 years the program has been in effect with an estimated 2 million Canadian medical cannabis users.
A program by exemption rather than a legal law is what we have in Canada.

If damp at all one can still cure this said if mould has set in then it will not fix the problem.
If it still smells like cannabis then cure it the burn is a nurtient flush issue that curing will not fix eaither.

Can we cure the leaves the same way too, I know they contain much less THC than the buds, but I have lots of leaves now (and am thinking to make hash oil with them) since the plant is still small, and the buds very small to harvest.

so after you put it in mason jars and burp it every 12 hours until the stem snaps, how can you store it if you 're not using it, you can leave it in mason jars for freshness, or you have to burp it again every 12 hours???????

Dude when the stem snaps it is ready for storage. Failure to waite for the center stem to snap can lead to mold,
Burping the jars is a part of the curing process. once complete storage is optimal.
