Can I just say that I work at Norwich Airport and I was there when it was being filmed. It was an early morning start for the stunt, about 0600. There is no way that could happen in real life, the CAA wouldn't let it go ahead unless it was in a controlled environment. Of course we all got tickets to a top gear show so we didn't mind them filming there at all. Plus you know it was a stunt being the air traffic controller said "you are entering an are of intense traffic!" What a lie!

That is a blimp, not a zeppelin. A zeppelin is a rigid airship. A blimp is a giant ballon with no rigid shape.

The reason why Top Gear is popular is A: It's owned by BBC, they own loads of channels, B: They've got there own videos on Youtube C: You can find them on websites like TopGear.com or Facebook etc D: They have books and finally E: They have loads of fans all over the world like me who watches it everyday

You will be surprised how many times this happens... Especially with hot air balloons. The BBC was probably fined for what happened by overall there would be no criminal charges because at the end of the day there was no malicious intent for harm and with Air Ships there isn't anything the pilot can do to change their movements really.

i'm sure BBC had all the filming permits, plus i'm sure there's some editing going on to make it all seem like one flight, when it was probably multiple flights.... and then again, this isn't america. people are much more relaxed in the uk.

This is clearly staged, a fake 'incident' at the airport. Anyone with close knowledge of broadcast cameras, lenses and filming angles can spot the trickery. A total fake, a set-up of expensive mistruths. What a shame BBC.
