  • @tdvries I've emailed you the water dispenser troubleshooting video. Please let us know if you have any questions or need anything else.

  • Hi,

can you send me the link to the troubleshoorting video as well? My ice maker is leaking , but I want to make sure it's the valve that needs replacing

  • @zambroseman Thanks for letting us know how your repair went. Glad the repair was a success!

  • @chrisdonoflio I've emailed you the water dispenser troubleshooting video. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

  • My freezer was covered in ice. It looked like water had dripped down from the right side of the ice maker onto everything below. When I removed the ice maker the fill cup was full of ice. I replaced the water inlet valve (just like the video showed) and the problem hasn't recurred.

  • @badboytilltheend13 There are a few things that can cause the water to not flow properly. We have a troubleshooting video about water dispensers that I will email to you which will explain how to diagnose your water dispenser issue. Let us know if you have any other questions or if you need more information.

  • can you please tell me what to do because the water flow from the dispenser isnt flowing. We have to wait at least 1min or so before the water starts coming. We changed the filter and it didnt do anything. Please respond back. Thanks.

  • @rrgfidel There are a few things that can stop the water from flowing to the ice maker. If you could let me know your model #, I can give you specific directions on how to fix this. You can also input that number into our Instant Repairman at Partselect . com - this will give you this will give you a list of possible parts specific to your model and your issue, as well as directions on how other people with the same problem have made the repair. I will direct message you this information.

  • Originally we had a water supply to the ice maker and it was leaking in the freezer. We follwed the video after ordering a new water inlet valve from Parts Select and now we cannot get any water supply to the ice maker. Any ideas?

  • @rmivideos - The link for the Water Dispenser Troubleshooting Video has been sent to you. Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • @Ren1979Rz - It sounds like the water inlet valve is causing your fridge's water dispenser to leak. We have a troubleshooting video about water dispensers that will show you how to test for a leaking valve so you can be sure. I’ll send you the video’s link as Youtube won’t allow me to post it here.

  • @partselect Can you share the troubleshooting video with me as well. I have a Kitchenaid KSRG22FKSS03 and my water dispenser is now constantly dripping. I want to know for sure before I order the water inlet valve. Thanks

  • @partselect hi i was wondering if you could email me the video to diagnois my water leak for water dispenser on fridge thanks

  • I have a whirlpool model # ed5fhexns00 that is constantly leaking from the water dispenser and water occasionally flowing to the ice bucket were it freezes or drips to the dispenser. Would replacing the water inlet valve fix my issue?

  • @hammer275xx - glad this video helped you!

  • really great video helped me out

  • Hi, My water dispenser on my whirpool side by side fridge is not working. Do you think is the water inlet valve also? The icemaker works fine..thanks

  • @momeng1202 Thank you for your question!

The issue could be the Water Inlet Valve or something else. I'll need your model number so I can help you solve this issue. You can also visit our website PartSelect . com and our Instant Repairman can help you too. I will email you this information.

  • @KLXSM400 - You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video!

  • Do you know where I can get replacement compression fittings for the valve?

  • @TheGamblingApocalyps Have you checked out website? Grab your model number and plug it into our search bar for a look at the parts we carry for your specific machine. If they're not there, I would think you should be able to find them at your local home improvement store.

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • @michaelcovey1 You are so very welcome!

  • do you have any video that shows where all the tubes goes to? i replaced a water inlet valve part#2206123 and the ice maker unit part# w10190965 in my kenmore refrigerator. i did one line at a time to make sure i didn't get any mixed up and now water shoots from the water dispenser every few minutes and it still isnt making ice. what do you advise or what video can you direct me to so i make sure the lines are hooked up correctly. ty

  • @tallguyd Hi there. It may not be that your tubes are mixed up. Make sure they are inserted properly, give them all a fairly good tug. If they are securely in place they shouldn't come out at all. If they are secure take a look at the tubes. One of them should be a little different than the other two. Watch over the video where the first tube goes. So you should only be left with two in question.

  • My fridge also has the extra 2 connections. Not too hard to figure out which go to the ice maker and water dispenser, and which are connected to the water filter. There are 2 different size plastic tubes. Thanks for the video.

  • @roncasual1 You're welcome and thank you for your feedback, it's always great to hear that one of our videos were so helpful!

  • What happens if you can't push the line back into the valve?

  • @Plantbarron Did you ensure you were making a smooth, square, clean cut to the tube? If there are little burs left behind or if the cut is not straight enough the tube will not reinstall properly.

  • If you send me your email address I can show a picture of the valve with 5 connections

  • Your video doesn't all tbe water lines I have 5 you can't tell from the video where they go. My valve has 5 connections watch the begining of your video

  • @sabinrc1 I've sent you another inbox message with a link to another video (v=6B35252T0S) that may help.

  • your explanation is clear as mud. I have 4 tubes in back of the Frig. which tubes goes where?????? I should not have followed your video and remoived all the tubes at once I should have done them one at a time. Don't you have an isometric drawing showing which tubes attach where on the valve???????>??

  • @sabinrc1 I do have an isometric drawing, it's on our website and I'm sending it to your inbox. If you look closely at the video, you'll notice that the tubing that comes from the bottom part of your fridge goes into the green valve (your inlet valve), the other tube goes into the white valve (the outlet).

  • When the video starts, the valve picturered is correct. Steve then takes a pice off the valve changed the final configuration.

My Kitchenaid has 4 tubes 2- 1/4" 2- 3/8 " plus a copper weater feed line to the valve. Can u tell me where they go on the valve the video is useless as he spents too much time showing you how to cut the tueb and fit it into the fitting.

  • Kitchenaid KSRG25FKSS03 is the frig model number... I need to know whixh tubes go where on valve

  • One of the three tubes you're referring to is larger in diameter than the other two - this one is simple as there is one one place it will fit!

  • @sabinrc1 Of the two smaller tubes, you will see that one comes from beneath the refrigerator where it is attached to the inlet water filter. This is your inlet line and will connect to the front inlet end of the water valve. The other small outlet tube will connect to the solenoid or outlet end of the valve, alongside of the larger outlet tube.

  • @sabinrc1 Both outlet tubes will exit the rear of the refrigerator and connect to either the icemaker on the freezer side or the water reservoir located inside the fresh food compartment.

    Hope this helps, Steve

  • I have a the same valve I just purchased. You don't show where the hoses come from I trimmed all the hoses but when I connect the valve up water comes out of the dispenser. ( I have the type with the extra hose )

  • @sabinrc1 If you can let me know your model # I can give you more specific instructions. It's tough to say as different models look a little bit different. You can also visit our website and plug your model # in there for information related to your fridge.

  • Hi, I accidently pulled one of the water line and messed up the quick connect insert. Do you sell just the quick connect insert or do I need to buy the whole inlet water valve.

  • @MrTrungtan Oooooh no, that's too bad about your water line! Depending on what parts are available for your model you might be able to buy just the connect insert, instead of the entire water inlet valve kit. Send me your model # and I’ll check for you!

  • @partselect That would be great. It is actually for a Frigidaire gallery model #FGHC2344K1. It don't seem to be the standard 1/4 or 3/8 od hose and it look to be a 5/16 od plastic hose. If you do have the insert that would be great. Also I need the quick connect for it as well if you have it. The one that ties two hose together. Thank you for the help

  • @MrTrungtan Hi again, I'm having a bit of trouble with your model number. Are you sure it isn't FGHC2344KF1 (I added an F in towards to the end)?

  • @partselect I'm sorry it took this long to reply but yeah, you are right. That is the model number as you have stated.

  • my ice maker is not working,in my refrigerator.thank you

  • @GalaXy808 Hi there, if you give me a little bit more information I'm sure we can help. For starters, what is the model number of your fridge? It's possible your issue involves the water inlet valve on your fridge or the defrost timer. I'm going to direct message you a couple of links to get you started and we'll go from there.

  • Thanks for the video I am going to try to replace this part since my refrigerator is leaking, even though, I never hooked up the water filter to my water supply.

  • @Rsd79 Great to hear, DIY is the way to go! This video has great step by step instructions and you don't need any previous DIY experience to follow along and complete the repair properly. It gets easier and faster the more you DIY! Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions.

  • @partselect

thanks for the reply. It is a whirlpool fridge about 6 years old, for which I never hooked up the water filter. I have all the tools, except, I have to order the part. I am going to call whirlpool and make sure I have the right part for my model. From your video it seems easy enough. I would consider myself a intermediate at DIY projects. I have done some small DIY repair here and there (ie. garage door opener, shed, cabinet and such).

  • @Rsd79 You're right to double check and make sure this is the right part - a leaky fridge can be any number of things. If you'd like to let me know your model #, I can give you some more specific direction on how to fix your issue. You can also input that number into our Virtual Repairman at partselect . com - this will give you a list of possible parts specific to your model and your issue, as well as directions on how other people with the same problem have made the repair.

  • Thank you for this video great help!!! :)

  • @swings38 No problem! Thanks for the feedback, we love hearing that people are finding the videos useful.

  • Good video, easy to understand and helpful. Thank you.

  • When do you need to replace this part? How do you know you need to do it? In other words, what goes wrong with the refrigerator? Thanks

  • @debzere Generally, this part needs to be replaced when experiencing one of the following symptoms: 1) Icemaker not filling with water, 2) Leaking water from refrigerator, 3) No water flow to ice maker. Your best bet to find out what you need to fix your refrigerator would be to check out our Virtual Repairman. Just enter your model number and select what symptom you're experiencing and it will tell you what parts you'll need to repair.
