Been there, done that. I was in the band from '03 to '06 loved every bit of it and i go back almost every Homecoming. It makes me proud to hear this song:) Much better then those highschool bands over in Gainesville and Miami!!

False! Famu sound quality is usually bad bc they "blat". Yes there is a way to overplay any instrument to where the sound is bad and distorted...ask ANY band director.

Ps- I'm in this video! Center snare for 3years. This was my last year.  Glad this video is up so one day I can show my kids!

Wow you can't be serious FSU has great band, but to say FAMU sound is bad and they blat? Tell that to their Sudler trophy, multiple Super Bowl performances, NFL performances, Multiple Inaugural Parades, their trip to France for the Bicentennial Parade.......do I really need to continue? What the hell 1 more, being on the Sports Illustrated list of 100 things to do before you graduate, Watch a performance of the FAMU Marching 100! Not bad for a band with bad sound quality :-)

FSU's band isn't about having a dance competition in the mix of playing their show. FAMU is definitely entertaining, and of course in there genre, they're probably great compared to other marching bands like them.

However, FSU is NOT a "show style" marching band, they're more corps style.

So you're saying that they are good but only when compared to bands with their own style? So I guess you are one of those who believe that your style is better than anyone else's? Like I said FSU is a great band along with FAMU but to say that they are only good when it comes to their own style...lets just say it shows how much you know about music and how much you know about the Marching 100.

Keep dreaming....FSU has one of the most elite bands in the country......the only way JSU can afford to bring their band is because schools like FSU pay JSU a ton of money to get demolished on the football field. Have fun at Doak!

actually the football team did quite well in 2008. winning 9 games out of 13 isn't too bad. the worst loss was against florida and they ended up winning the championship. in the other 3 games we lost by 10, 9, and 3 points.

so pretty good season i think :)

@StanleyLacey I agree with you 100% It was just loud, dark and where was the drill? It appeared to be an indoor venue, but still. Just "parking and barking" so to speak does not make for a great show....and the color guard seemed to get lost in the whole thing. And I like FAMU-they have a great band, I am also a big fan of the "Chiefs" To say that this tops anything the Chiefs have done is laughable. I have seen FAMU do better.

@jquentin56 it was a street corner at a "battle of the bands" so there was very limited space, tons of concrete all around, and it was around 8pm at night. this was a phenomenal show!

I'm a Tiger, my husband's a "Nole; we go to Tallahassee every other year, and I LOVE watching the Marching Chiefs march into the stadium. Such an awesome band!

Ohh I love hearing all of the music played by the AMAZINGLY Awesome Chiefs. I will never love another college band like I do them. Seeing them and knowing the college football season is approaching fast gets me HYPED UP!!!!!!!
