Ahh why are you doing this to me ! I just purchased my warrior, it's not even arrived yet but I'll already be needing this.. I decided to go cruiser to reduce the risk of driving a sport bike, but now seeing this I wont be sleeping till I got one on the warrior :)
Harry Gunusen @ American Turbo Power (Ca) builds turbosystems for the warrior, mine was purchased through Patrick Racing, but you can also get it from Orient Express I believe. The kit on this bike was modified by me, using PCIII + Mapsensor instead of risingrate FPR, also intercooler, blowoff & newplenum etc was added afterwards by me.
You ever run the 1/4 mile? I'm just curious how fast that thing actually is compared to a crotch rocket, since that's all I've ever ridden, but I'm getting too old to contort to those bikes anymore, and the Warrior has definitely peaked my interest, looks like you can probably take most crotch rockets on the street.
Never got a good time on the 1/4 mile, but it should have done in the neighborhood of 9.8 - 9.9. I built a new warrior-turbo this spring for dragrace only, recently did 9.4 on the 1/4 mile with the new bike...
If you build everything yourself, the turbo is about $1k, the IC + rubber + metalwork about $1k, blowoff + fuelhandling / electronics about $1k, so about 3k.... (+ a few days work)
ive had 2 warriors and they both would really run....135 140 stock and would get there preaty damm fast .i couldnt imagine with a turbo hahah what a kick in the seat hahah way cool.whats the top end u figure hows she handle ,mine was a bit of a pig in a curve,to heavy
Thanks! Well, with the R1 fork / stiff rear suspension the bike handles pretty well, but still no sportbike when it comes to curves. I've taken off about 15kg's weight also, that helps. When all the torque kicks in at about 3500rpm the frame feels a bit like rubber however...
What turbo do you use for ? It's a small garett or KKK? Do you changed pistons? Could you tell more what you need to modificate in engine for turbo instalation?
It has a garrett "t28" type of turbo, specs for turbo are from American Turbo in LA. The engine is 100% stock except; larger injectors, adjustable fuelpressregulator, powercommander USB with hub and mapsensor, O-tec lockup clutch with modified disc setup.
I wanna see a vid of you tearin up some rockets on that thing

do they make turbo timers for bikes?

I believe you could use any universal turbotimer for a car. I never used one.

That bike did 6.3 on the 1/8 mile.

How did you film this without the wind ruining the audio? Do you have the mic mounted somewhere else?
