Bloody hillarious for over 25 years i've been in pest management in Perth i've been bitten by all the spiders(and some that most people have never heard of) with the exception of the Sydney funnel web swum with crocks and box jellies allmost got killed by a ferral pig in QLD the size of a small car but this just hit the nail on the head for me i'm still laughing good one guys.
Heh, I love this song - I recognise so many of the animals! Where I live, we're being invaded by echidnas - freaking things won't shut up, and the really big ones are bloody tough - when you go to pick em up, they burrow into the ground & shove their head under so you can't get 'em, even if you try to dig em out with a shovel :( - I'm not stupid enough to get within sticking range! Redbacks and whitetails are good for the amount of panic you can cause in a classroom pointing them out, lol!
gah i really really wanna spend my life there but recent reviews and information put Australia in a very bad light with regards to cost of living.. I really wanted to set up my own TV show hunting and wrestling dropbears, the most feared creature even after estuarine crocodiles! Steve Irwin was too scared to mess with em, so I figured I could make more money and fame than he did. Anyways, is it true, its really costly to live there vs Canada or USA? @thekaizer666 Are you serious? Compared to the USA, our economy is amazing. Given that, things are slightly more expansive here- is you add moving and everything it'll turn out to be an expensive task. But I love Australia. I love the people, the sights, the locations, the animals- everything. I think it depends, not on how much it costs, but on if you really want to do it or not.
Ha ha ha !!! Love it !!! They forgot to mention the Cassuary, and a few other 'fun' things we have here !!! Don't forget about the black panthers that roam the bush, since being 'let go' after WW2 !!! I saw one crossing the road in front of my car, on the outskirts of Melbourne, last year just before sunset !!! It was as tall as the bonnet on my car !!! No wonder farmers have their livestock torn-apart !!!
FINALLY! Someone else actually understands my fear of Australia! And they're from Australia nonetheless!
I never heard anyone else complain about Australia but me until now. I'm so relieved. By the way, they missed the REALLY scary things. Even the trees kill you there.
@TheMTPrower im australian...and really its not that dangerous, i mean you have to be really dumb to poke a redback or something. i live in an area where all these animals are, and i have never been stung/bitten in my life
That's like my housemate who dives into the shallow edge of a lake head-first or jumps 60 feet off a cliff into water and claims that just because he's never gotten hurt, there's no danger. Sorry, but I refuse to take the risk.
@tjb2693 Or the bunyips. The drop bears can be avoided with enough vegemite. If only my friend's cousin's hairdresser's uncle remembered that. ... *sniff*

@warwatcher91 oh yeah, remember the drop bear, I survived Australia year 2010 - 2011
It's not as bad as it seems, sure, you can get attacked by kookaburras wanting your food and never ever put your hands under a table, because a redback could sit there, wear sandals when go swimming in rocky areas and always watch out for the shark patrool.
@lonewolf202 I came here after readed Cracked.com and Tvtropes and they make it sound like EVERYTHING in Australia is out to kill you. Do you live there?
@warwatcher91 nah not anymore, had to go home after a year, sort of sad because I loved it there, I lived in Adelaide out at Hallet Cove. (you probablu don't know where that are) Best year ever! I am thinking about moving back when I'm done studying here in Sweden.
@warwatcher91 Well then you're just super unlucky, and still kind of dumb Considering they're very easily treated. I've lived here 24 years and never seen a funnel web or a blue ringed octopus and i know one guy who has seen a blue ringed octopus but it was dead.
@youbetzler hmm thats not such a good comment, considering the amount of people who die, and get serverly hurt from hitting Roos in their cars in the sticks..
@Skremn01 hitting a kangaroo in your car does not kill you. I've hit a roo before and know plenty of people who have also. If you swerve and lose control you die because of poor driving skills not the kangaroo.

No, they're not poisonous. The koala will just rip most of your face off. The kangaroo won't do much except break your spine and ribs with one kick. That's all.
@chewogilvie *facepalm* You're not meant to have a tablespoon of it you spaz, lol. It's to spread lightly on toast. You're not the first to make that error though, lol. Perhaps the person who edited this made a mistake (from reading these comments, it appears that it wouldn't be the only one). XD
It's just for fun. XD Doesn't have to be totally correct.
After all, the gist of the song is correct - Australia has one of the most dangerous wildlives ever. Five out of ten of the top ten most poisonous snakes in the world can be found here... amongst other things.
@MrBoxinB There are Black Tiger Snakes in Aus, I had one at my back door only a month ago. They can look like Red Bellied, but definitely a Tiger in video above.
@MrBoxinB No That is definately a Tazzie Tiger Snake.... They did get the Taipan wrong though as that is a death Adder..... Also they have a photo of a Black Mamba near the end of the video, Black Mamba's being an African species.
AUSTRALIA KICKS ASS!! BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!! BTW it aint that deadly, the most deadly thing with the most casulties every year is childhood drownings!!
On the way to school, I dodge the most poisonous snakes in the world and at night I try my hardest not to move in summer when the Blackhouse and White Tip spiders are crawling under my covers. No mention of Irukandii jellyfish? It won't kill you, but being stung by one feels like being under the cruciartus spell from Harry Potter... for weeks at a time.
@kanga1234567 Naa, that's another one of their songs. All about Super Bogan's, taking over Melbourne CBD.
The bogan's start in VFL Park but find it's been sold off to developers, which makes them really ticked off because there's no Footy and worst of all, no more Lou Richards. "God Bless you Lou. Australia's next Saint!"

'And the poison thing that lives in a shell, that spikes you when you pick it up.' I think they're referring to cone shell snails, not hermit crabs. :P
@burnsy96 Now all you need do is get bitten on the arse by a re-back sitting on the dunny and have a funnel web bite your foot when you put your shoes on.
i've never seen one of them in aus since i came here from feb 10, but this video lmao,, actually i live in bondi beach n never seen a shark or jelly fish there
i've never seen one of them in aus since i came here from feb 10, but this video lmao,, actually i live in bondi beach n never seen a shark or jelly fish there
@geekgo4 i've never seen one of them in aus since i came here from feb 10, but this video lmao,, actually i live in bondi beach n never seen a shark or jelly fish there
@geekgo4 all our serial killers, who make american serial killers look docile. mick taylor from wolf creek was actually based on two of australia's worst serial killers. ivan milat, who killed british backpackers.
bradley john murdoch, he was a real gem, too. he only got caught after he'd kidnapped a mother and her daughter. he'd also killed sum1s bf. he'd also killed some chick's bf and tried to kidnap her.
only a fool trusts a stranger in the outback.........
if your scared of red backs dont come to victoria we are full of them i have been bitten 5 times but i lived and now i dont pick them up any more and throw them at crows.
@DragonJSP I think they were talking about the Cone-snail which will kill you in less than 15 minutes if you get stung by its little harpoon it shoots out to kill fish. If you get stung by one you are pretty much screwed unless you are RIGHT near where there is civilization and if not kiss life good-bye.
look it up on here, they are kinda cool looking.
so if you go shell collecting make sure to wear heavy gloves and Don't pick up something with an animal in it
Your brilliant tourist campaigne is working. I'm coming to Australia for the first time next week. If I accidently get killed, I was warned. :-) Thanks.
More people die from bee stings in Australia than shark attacks each year. The new tourism slogan is; "Australia: where even the fucking honey bees have it in for you!" Hahahaha!

Question: why is "the poison thing that lives in a shell that spikes you when you pick it up" A HERMIT CRAB?!?!
DragonJSP 1 year ago
@DragonJSP I think they were talking about the Cone-snail which will kill you in less than 15 minutes if you get stung by its little harpoon it shoots out to kill fish. If you get stung by one you are pretty much screwed unless you are RIGHT near where there is civilization and if not kiss life good-bye.
look it up on here, they are kinda cool looking.
so if you go shell collecting make sure to wear heavy gloves and Don't pick up something with an animal in it
LadyBarricade 1 year ago
@LadyBarricade no i ment that in the video they show a hermit crab, i know its not a hermit crab but they show one!!! its weird!
DragonJSP 1 year ago
@DragonJSP ohhhhhh ok
yeah hermit crabs aren't dangerous XD
LadyBarricade 1 year ago
@DragonJSP same reason the tiger snake is actually a death adder, the maker of the video isn't a nature expert. :)

Your brilliant tourist campaigne is working. I'm coming to Australia for the first time next week. If I accidently get killed, I was warned. :-) Thanks.

My favorite is the killer Koala (those drop bears are the biggest worry) and the Kangaroo swimming instructor.

More people die from bee stings in Australia than shark attacks each year. The new tourism slogan is; "Australia: where even the fucking honey bees have it in for you!" Hahahaha!
