As much as I love bill I wish that he had written more material instead of recycling it so much over the years to the point where it wasn't even relevant anymore. "Hey guys remember when Bush lost 5 years ago, I laughed my ass off".
I hate and love watching this at the same time. I love watching this man because he knew the real world but i hate watching it because i wish people like him were still here. Its like he said, all the good guys get murdered. There are some sick sick people on this planet (you probably know who im talking about) and its about time we the people dealt with them. Its a win or lose situation, Bill knew that, thats why hes dead.
@WiseOwlOfGallifrey I think argueing about the origins of satire is missing the point. If you really got into Bill Hicks, and those with the same ideals, Its not really so much about him pointing out a many 'specific' flaws, of our terribly ignorant existance... but more about giving us examples, that may be easier to relate to, guiding us towards our own realisations.
I think that vertebrate was the first (not the next) step in our evolution. It was then when we lost the ability to reach our own penis that we started of thinking of other things as well once in a while ..

Pretending to talk to someone to emphasize a point, should not be taken literally. @withthebirdillshare and @americancryer you two are idiots. He's kinda funny, but please STOP screaming, you dick-cheese. And stop stretching every joke, just to squeeze every laugh out of them..your jokes are funny, and I'm sure he can come up with enough material

@4unumber1 If Bill Hicks came back to life, he'd die again. I mean, he'd lose his mind. American Gladiators? No, that was nothing compared to American Idol or The Jersey Shore. Bill Hicks would gouge his eyes out with a school cafeteria spork. People don't notice what's wrong because marketers have gotten us to sell our souls slowly, over a 20 year period that rammped up in 2000 and took off in 2001.

@liamMCR Yeah, he was a great man..if you don't know him already, I suggest you check out Doug Stanhope, he has a similar style, and he is great too ;)
@asfarfafar I'm well aware of Doug Stanhope and as great as he is, there's something about him that just doesn't do it for me. He kinda irritates me which Bill never did - Bill was so sharp. Don't get me wrong stanhope hits some important subjects, but for me personally no one comes close to Hicks in terms of discussing serious subjects whilst being incredibly funny at the same time. Bill was the best, along with Carlin and Prior, my opinion.

@defndpoppunk I don't think Hicks would want to come back. He was well before his time and his comedy still stands relevant today. You think he would want to live in a world of Justin Bieber war profiteering and general mediocrity?
@PnutButter1986 Well I only `found` him recently, tho read a really good "Guardian" article on him few years back, hadn`t known he had died-! @ARKBUILDER100 He's not supposed to be 'warm' - he calls himself a dark poet. I disagree with but respect your opinion that his sexual references are distasteful. 'Goatboy' if you've heard of him is just the embodiment of our instinctual lust. We all have dark and dirty thoughts and a comic such as Bill voicing them just reassures us that its ok to be lustful

You thought it was bad in the early 90s, Mr. Hicks? What happened then is child's play compared to what is happening today. I know you passed away before experiencing what humanity is unfortunately experiencing in this day and age. Had you lived to see this, Mr. Hicks, you would have had much material. The USA has been pretty crazy since your passing, particularly at the international level. For example, you missed Bush Jr. as President. You would have been extremely disappointed in him.
@j4unumber1 he wouldn't have beendissapointed in GW, he's the entitled cokehead christan son of a president he loathed. Obama on the other hand, would've been absolutely infuriating to Bill.

Disappointed in Bush Jr? LOL!!!!!! Hicks was like this when Bill Clinton was in his first term and he was probably the only competent president in the last 40 plus years, Hicks would have assassinated Bush Jr with no hesitation or remorse!!
