@chong890 It's been a couple of years since we went to Myanmar, so I'm sure quite a few new hotels have sprung up. When we were in Kalaw, we stayed at the Golden Lily Guest House. At the guest house, we also organized our hiking trip with Robin (highly recommended).
In Nyaung Shwe, at Inle Lake, we stayed at the Teakwood Hotel which has a great common area.
