I must be listening to this too loud. My tinnitus was playing up all the way through this video. Funny, it seemed to stop when it finished though......
yeah i agree cherone is a very avg singer at best. I do like his solo stuff but when he screams its terrible , what were van halen thinking????????????????????????????????????????? hes not a reat song writer either , he always sounds like hes just singing lyrics over the music , if u know what i mean? foe example hagar does the same thing unlike roth who makes it sound like a complete song
I was at this gig in 1992 I think not 93, Maiden were headlining and lots of people felt Extreme weren't heavy enough to be on the bill! Hence Gary trying a bit too hard on the vocals! Excelent performance considering the amount of bottles of piss lobbed at them!
This is a clip from headbangers ball on MTV. The song is from Donington monsters of rock in 1993 . I was there. Also on the bill was pantera sepultura therapy and aerosmith headlining. Extreme on his gig beefed it up as it was feared that they would be too soft metal for the lineup but they were quality
Was this a Monsters of Rock Pay-Per-View? Or on Headbanger's Ball? At this time, GRUNGE, ALTERNATIVE, and NEW JACK SWING dominated the music industry.
This is the cd after More Than Words, it has way more ballads than Pornograffitti. Pornograffitti only had 2 ballads. 3 Sides was a great album, it really showed their excellent song writing abilities. I still don't know why More Than Words is on the 80s power ballad cd. Power ballads have an electric guitar in them...it's just a plain old love ballad.
anyone know whos playing drums ..? looks like the drummer who has toured with steve vai.. atleast his drumset looks the same and he has a great kick.. saw on another ole vid.. anyone know ?
Hey Gary, what's that over there? It's over a decade! Calm down, it's a different crowd. You have to pretend to be depressed, all that jumping around...they'll never understand!
If you dig this awesome tune, you should come check out the Starrats video for "Psycho you".. There are more than a few similarities here, and I fucking swear we didn´t do it on purpose;-)
P.S. ...and to the fretboard-geeks, Yes!! of course there´s a flashy guitarsolo, so you won´t be wasting your time :-D
I have to admit they got boo-ed real bad,the power went out in play with me so nuno didnt do that solo.their acoustic stuff didnt go down too well.I was there too and loved the bands on the main stage-bloody windy day!Zakk Wlyde did an amazing set with his band that day
It was 1994. I have the live bootleg of the entire show, there was not that much booing, no more than any other festival. The crowd enjoyed Extreme enough to sing the 'ban the bomb' line in Rest In Peace
It's something to watch. You don't go to rock concerts and keep your eyes closed. Gary doesn't give a crap because he's just being himself, and people tend to like that.
I think so too!!!! they're so good!!! but the grunge came..too bad :( i idolized Nuno a lot... in fact i learned more than words with out the tab and coloured my fingernails black! hihi
You know the bit at the beginning where the voice says, 'Yes Daddy.' - was that actually sampled from the 1983 nuclear film "The Day After" - spoken by character 'Denise'?
I think you are right. Was that in the states? I seem to have an image in my head of Korea or japan for a reunion too? Nevermind, if they come back to the Netherlands as Extreme, I will be there.
They did two shows in 2006. One in thier home town of Boston and another an hour north in hapton beach, NH. I was at the second show. Aweseome! thay haven't lost a thing. paul geary actually left the drums and let - I forget is name...the second briedly used drummer...anways, he played for a couple songs from Waiting for the Punchline. Paul came back and finished the show. Great show!
I was there man '94 if my memory serves me corectly. Pantera kicked ass that day too. I love extreme, Nuno top man, see you in the Netherlands, Satellite Party, can't wait.
Heard "play with me" before it was put on the Bill & Teds movie soundtrack and was instantly hooked, been a Exreme fan ever since, 2 bad they can't get their shiat together and get back 2gether and put out another cd!!!
EXTREME is a legend!! Nuno is the greatest guitarist and Gary is just amazing! The best performer...and what a fuckin voice!! In our hearts forever guys...you gave us so much pleasure!
Fav band .....these guys were amazing..(just bought the N3 N4 and the one he's playing in this video!)

man why would ur own audience pay that much money to bring a pig head at the show haha unless it was ment to be like aswome
saynotodrug999 2 years ago
I think they just thought it would be funny/cool, it wasnt meant to actually insult or hurt anybody. They do some weird shit at festivals.

Well half the bands on the bill now aren't heavy enough by Britney Spear's standards....
