Not alot of people know this but quite a few card game terms comes from Magic. For example "milling." Millstone from the Fourth editoin was the most signifigant card in that time that would send the top 2 cards from an opponent's library to the graveyard. So destroying an opponent's deck became known as "milling."

I saw a lot of my classmates of my engineering class playing this game in the college's cafeteria. I didn't realize it but I guess I'm a nerd that doesn't play Magic nor dungeons and dragons. Instead, I'll hang out with my duddies and check out some fights while having a couple of beers.

pokemon has been out in japan way before we had it in the states i think its been out since 1989 in japan look it up.

@BFG2245 how is poker (as being a card game) better than another card game. In fact, I have multiplayer and casual magic the gathering sessions at my house often, and it is always an extremely social and creatively stimulating experience. It develops strategic thinking, it develops your reaction time to changing circumstances as well as helps you learn to act under pressure. Healthy competition in an environment where you get to meet people that share interests with you.
