@mathomas1962, I just, very carefully switched my 14-140 with the 20 (micro43) ... i've done it lots of time, but it's just scary - specially for my wallet - to think it could fall ...
Watching this video after such operation.... i share your felling quite well... also... he is on the middle of a street ... all the dirt going into the lens .... NOOOO!
i know how it's supposed to be pronounced, i was referring to brucecheewai's post above mine criticizing the reviewer's pronunciation for summilux, and likening it to the nikon debate. Basically, I meant that the pronunciation doesn't matter, it's much more important to grab the camera and take a photograph than debate the manufacturer's intended way to say the name
@jamsee88 again, if you look at my post, i'm trying to explain that taking pictures is more important than arguing about the names for stuff. nobody's gonna get their photos into an exhibition arguing about their leicas or nikons. they have a better chance by not bothering with arguments and just using their camera in the real world to take real pictures.
No Leica makes Rangefinder cameras. They're smaller, lighter, and more compact than DSLRs but are relatively slow in shooting speed because they don't use a reflex shutter. Most people consider them not to be in the "Professional" status but more of the "Enthusiast" status. Most photographers learn more about lighting and composition when shooting rangefinders because of the slower pace.
Mike
yes Leica users DO use their gear regardless of weather.
Some people are like you describe with their gear but there are many who trust their gear to stand up to regular heavy use.
Vietnam is a pretty hostile climate for a camera and plenty pictures from that conflict were done on Ms.

Imagine Leica introducing Full HD recording to their Digital cameras
It would be PHENOMENAL!!

Yep - but do typical Leica owners ever use their kit ?
Like having a classic car I suspect that its rarely out unless its sunny !

imagine dropping that lens on the ground

@roger767 I don't think it would break anyway. It's all metal, and glasses element are covered by either the mount or a UV filter.
