I'm in the same boat. Mid 80s and 90s are what I get in every subject. Last year I got a 98 in Mathematics, I don't have math this year until next semester. Boy, do I hate this. Not only is what we learn almost useless, but here at school they don't develop our minds so that we can create and innovate, but rather to follow endless words in textbooks that we are not going to use in our future.

If you want to do something positive about getting rid of schools, why not help me to build a serious alternative? Most children are only too happy to learn, but they don't need to be imprisoned to do so - most of the time they spend in school is wasted on things that teach them precisely nothing. We should be providing them all with the means to teach themselves and paying them for making progress. They only need 5 to 10 minutes of work a day to keep up with the standard school learning rate.

No this lady made a completely false assumption. Most of the children/teenagers who say they 'hate' school are just simply using it to replace the word 'dislike' or the phase 'have a problem'. An example of 'disliking' school is when a student complains about not getting an extra day off or getting a extra homework assignment. While an example of 'hate' is when the student actually feels rage towards the school. For instance kids who don't have friends and don't succeed really 'hate' school.

We are not allowed to have an opinion due to the strictley specific way they run the schools. We are not free, we are robots. We all do the same thing, we are all on the same course. well of course I hate school. I wake up early, take the bus in shitty weather, just to come to a place with annoying ass teachers who can't even smile. Then am FORCED to sit there for a certain time and learn things that I'm uninterested in and do this 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 9 months. Than after 6 hours of school, a good 4 hours of homework, I do it all over again.

Yea, SOME of it helps us, but not all of it. The worst part of it is it cuts into our sleeping time, and most of the kids that go there are immature idiots who will end up getting paid like 5 dollars an hour working at a fast food place! In school we aren't treated as people. We are forced to memorize facts that we will never use, and probably forget after we get tested. Maybe it would be different if we could choice what we learn, at our own pace, at our own TIME...not woken up during our deep sleep hours! We get cooped up in these prisons all day...forced to deal with jerkwad teachers and pissed kids (who could blame them?). I hope I'm able to do "unschooling"...google it, you'll wanna do it, too.

Its not that I hate school... Its just that they dont give us any freedom. like english class.. My english teacher last year made us constantley write poems, and i hate poems. But the worst part was, the poem always has happy sunshine. so one day I made a poem that expressed my real talent of poems, but in a subject that I like. Mid-evil, death, and blood.
