@joshua5661 2.2 ghz is weak. I have over-clocked my i7 960 to 4.5 ghz stable with 16 GB of Ram I still run at only 30 FPS. Not bad however I think MS wants us to chuck 10k for this GAME. No blade element theory here. No simulated RPMs. No wonder it's free.
All I can say is this: WILL GO BACK TO FSX ACCELERATION. The only good thing is the graphic, even with The Hawaiian Adventure Pack you will only get 4 planes. Thank god for 3rd parties add-on for FSX.

Just installed it. I guess they released it a day early. Looks like it's back to FSX for me. Better luck next time M$. Next time don't put money and greed before releasing a quality product. FSX was great because of add-ons and customization. You don't need 10 million people using Flight to have a good product. Good products aren't just about how many people use it.

I played the beta for this, and about half the scenery is imported from FSX... boats, houses, airport scenery, jetways, etc... I wonder what they've actually been doing for 2 years except designing missions nobody will want to do.

Laminar Research creators of X-Plane actually care about the flight-sim community and continually strive to improve the sim from feedback from it's users. The exact opposite of the non-caring corporate monster that is Microsh**! If enough people switch to X-plane the best developers such as PMDG and ORBX will start developing for X-plane. Or you can all stick with the broken coded six year old FSX, and watch the flight-sim community die a slow painful death, the choice is yours.
don't judge until you see it... i find it nice. Many were patronising on AoE Online, but it succeeded and it's a really nice game... If Microsoft decided to let us down on this one, thank god there is X-Plane and FSX always on the list.

I have fsx and lots of addons but this game is fun and amazing..bush flying the stearman in hawaii....wow..its not like fsx but its some what better ..no lag ..for stock scenery is amazing.. the sun effect on the clouds are awesome..the planes texture are crazy..VC its insane.. like being there ..Can't wait to see whats going to be in the market place in the future ..they may sale a PRO package for real simulation. This game has the potential to be a fantastic flight sim.

I've been an avid simmer for 5 years! i started from my single core and worked hard to buy the highest specs i could possibly afford. I know have an i7 rig with 16GB of memory and a GTX460.. I just recently bought 32" LED monitor.... all this with only one game installed MSFS... and now you give us this? i spent more than USD3000 for this rig and you want us to play novice? and hawaii? It looks like Flight's graphics are from a late 90's arcade game. I have FSX and think that the graphics of FSX are better than X-plane but flight dynamics are similar. Flight is 10 times worse than both of these sims.

1. It's free. So, I can give them the benefit of the doubt and try it out without spending a penny if it turns out they've fubar'd the sim. I've been an avid simmer for 5 years! i started from my single core and worked hard to buy the highest specs i could possibly afford. I know have an i7 rig with 16GB of memory and a GTX460.. I just recently bought 32" LED monitor.... all this with only one game installed MSFS... and now you give us this? i spent more than USD3000 for this rig and you want us to play novice? and hawaii? What the F!

Now it makes sense! Flight sim add ons used to be free...then developers became greedy. The fact that it it's free tells you...that only they will make money with it! As far as I can see, this game would have been a commercial failure if sold, so you only pay for the ride, and not for what rides tou, lol.

@CJSHM If your saying "not the same graphics" in a way that is translated to Flight has better graphics than Xplane, you are wrong my friend. X-plane exceeds these graphics 10x! It looks like Flight's graphics are from a late 90's arcade game. I have FSX and think that the graphics of FSX are better than X-plane but flight dynamics are similar. Flight is 10 times worse than both of these sims.

Every company that releases a free version of it's game is generating hype for the next big release. Examples....The free version of Arma 2, Battlefields Play4Free and Heroes and others I can't think of right now. But yeah it is a PR stunt, albeit a horrible one. We have not seen the last of MFS. Quit worrying.

How about rewarding the fans that helped make your game a huge hit by giving us a modern age simulation instead of this absolute piece of shit. Well, the good news is twofold:
1. It's free. So, I can give them the benefit of the doubt and try it out without spending a penny if it turns out they've fubar'd the sim. They've been saying all along that they'll cater to "all skill levels." Maybe they're just going after a new audience with this vid but the sim is still in tact. We'll see.
2. XPlane is still around in case M$ blew it.
3. I still own FS9 and it works just fine. (OK, that's 3)
