I was at a softbank store in Kyushu few days ago (1 July 2010) and I was told that I have to pre-order the phone and the have to wait for a month or more! I think softbank is doing some tweaking on the phone.
@oceannomads - yes. I got mine at the beginning of June. My wife asked if she could order one in June and they said they don't sell them any more! I am hoping our local distributor is just misinformed or lying. I am afraid that Softbank is shooting themselves in the foot by making it so hard for people to buy these. They would probably outsell iphones if they were actually promoting them and had some in stock... (IMHO)
@raymer1 - Thanks for the reply, that was really fast. I just got back from Softbank and now I was told that they only will get the HTC Desire by the end of August or mid of September! I was so damn upset, I should have waste my time in the first place to go there despite that I have to drive 40 mins from where I am (Kirishima) to the next town. I guess, Softbank CEO is really pushing the iPhone 4 instead doing the same on the HTC Desire. He behave as arrogant as Steve Job. Thanks mate.

I preordered on the 23rd and on the 27th Softbank told me the phone wouldn't be available until end of May. :-(
