will never forget 2007. our house was not flooded but all i can say it was horrific, but also the public didnt panick for the most part, like likal23 said knuckle down get on with it. nothing you can change afterall.

I was caught in these floods, my house had 4 inches of sewage in, that stank for months. It was due to unusual weather conditions. No the government havent learned, nor done enough. Thanks for kind comments...I wouldn't wish this on anybody

We were discussing disasters around the globe and certain phenomena today in English. The most shocking was 9/11 and then the Boxing Day 2004 Tsunami. This song makes me think of Dr Who in 2010 and Nick Cutter in Primeval shortly before he died! AWESOME VID!

This vid reminds me of Nick Cutter from Primeval, may he rest in peace. Disclaimer: Nick Cutter is a character in ITV's sci fi series Primeval; played by brill actor Douglas Henshall who isn't dead in real life - his character was killed off by his ex wife Helen (Juliet Aubrey). That was a fantastic episode and brilliant end for the main character and that's just in case u guys didn't kno who I was tlkin about.

the most obvious reason which made the situation worse the sewage system can't cope with the new properties old drains need replaces no more new houses until this has been sorted plz. also all the brooks+canals need dredging.how much longerNow's the time to take action stop ignoring this.The last major gloucester flooding was1947 the next one will come more quickly around. this is not going to go away.The government need to stop cutting corners uk is crashing down around us.

I live in Gloucester. I've just gone through the entire process nice and calmly (no power for a day, no water for a week and counting, knuckle down and get on with it, thank god not flooded personally) but this video/music has just left me shaking with emotion. It's the first time I've reacted.

Great video, the Met Office actually excelled in the warnings they gave!! They had it nailed at 3-4 days out even getting the approximate area and amounts of rain virtually spot on, so don't really know why you state that there was no warning??

Yes, my mistake, it was indeed predicted, but I don't think anybody realised how bad it would be, and even if they did, it seems UK is ill-prepared to act accordingly, or simply can't! I don't know, whats your view?
