Mate thats a mega video and you and your mate clearly have done quite a few laps before to get those lines sorted, I can't remember seeing you out there but what time did you do that Run as I could never get a clear run on my 09 R1! ?? OH BTW, lights on full beam....top idea will do that next year.
I bought the 2009 Yamaha R1 about 2 months ago and can't get the suspension settings right. Do you mind telling me the preload, rebound, composition, and ride height you are using?
its a pain in the ass to get it where it should be, i got my adjusted by one of the track instructors at VIR. it might be your best bet to go to a track day and let them set it up for you.
Finally a half decent TT vid.. Instead of the usuall "Fast run over the Mountain" from guys who are just swinging about the road stuck in 3rd gear.... More power too you..

Agreed, not great out the box.
Front:
half the travel was taken up in sag alone so preload on FULL, looks strange but effective.
Compression-from 21 to 18 clicks out
Rebound-from 12 to 9 clicks out (7 clicks out for the IOM)
Rear:
Not so bad, just need to get rid of the spine crushing pain over bumps...
High speed compression leave alone
Low speed compression from 11 to 17 clicks out
Rebound leave alone but I changed this to 12 clicks out from standard 15 for the IOM
