have you noticed the uniform of Faldio and Welkin's?

they're in the same um...team, but why is Faldio's uniform a bit different from Welkin's?

is it just the way Faldio wears it and Welkin wears it like...properly? cuz if u get what i'm tryin to ask, i can see that on Welkin's uniform, it has those black sleeves and Faldio doesn't (his one is just a normal sleeve...)

@v1vyp Faldio is actually somewhat of a fashion nut lol in his ingame unlockable bio, it says that he actually had the nerve to request a re-draft of the standard issue gallian millitary uniform, and submitted his own designs, but they were rejected because they were too flamboyant for the millitary haha. Something else you might not know, he was actually one of a group of potential suitors for marrying Gen Daemon's daughter, but he was rejected by him because he was in the militia

Because the story does not take place in the modern era. "Fisticuffs" was used more in the era this game is representing.

Sounds like the valkerur are like the norse. The Valkyries were winged goddesses that were praised by the norse people and the vikings, so i can see the relevance of this.

Well technically, they were an all female group a lesser goddesses that served the greater gods of the Norse. Primary job for them was to take the noble (as in good, not upper class) fallen of the Norse to Valhalla where they could drink, fuck, and fight for the rest of eternity.

In that case, it would make perfect, nearly literal sense here. You die in combat (mortal wound and all), and are reborn as a Valkyria, instead of going to heaven right away.

The Valkyrie weren't spirits of the fallen, they were goddesses that guided those that died to Valhalla. Though only those that died a noble death (i.e. no running or screaming or begging for ones life). That's kinda what I meant by "fallen noble of the Norse", sorry if my bad wording caused some misinterpretation there.

Well "noble death" for the Norse generally meant death in battle, so you'd have to get and get yourself killed in combat somewhere.

I'm thinking more about the Darcsens then Faldio's choice at the moment. In Fladio's confession letter he said that the Valkyrian's lied about the Darcsen calamity hiding the shame by blaming the Darcsen. The Valkyrian aren't savior thier PUSSIES and they prove that fact by lying to thier own children about the Darcsen calamity. The only Valkyrian I think is good now is Alicia now!!!! Sorry to sound so serious but I don't think it's right what the Valkyrian did to the Darcsen.

As despicable as that act was, he really had no choice. Had he not done that, Gallia would've lost.

I feel it's hard to choose sides relating to this.

I think I disagree with you.

Faldio did what all sensible people would do. Gallia's army is is but a fraction of that of the Federation and the Empire. He knew Gallia was outnumbered, outgunned and to add their problem the Empire had an unbeatable weapon on their side (Selvaria).

If Gallia losses this battle, they are all going to lose their freedom and their lives. And what will happened to Welkin and his squad then? Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Now that you mention it...damn...it really was a tough decison. I guess i better bring down my criticism of Faldio a bit. I never realized how bad their situation was earlier. I thought they were going to make it due to Welkin's strategies.

But perhaps Faldio should talk to Alicia and Welkin about this beforehand. Hopefully she would have volunteered and gone along with the plan if she knew that a small sacrifice will turn the tide of the war in the favor of Gallia.

Yeah, if they had known beforehand, I think the whole situation between Welkin and Faldio could have been avoided. Unfortunately,I think Faldio was overcome by the stress of their situation and just rushed with his plan without clearance from anybody. People tend to do things like this when they are overcome with stress.

No I don't think it was stress he is a very calm individual. I can imadgine how that conversation would have gone tho. Welkin would have not allowed it (not wanting to harm her) but she would have gone behind his back and done it anyways when things were going bad. (meaning more ppl would have died in the mean time maybe even Welkin) Or even worse she might have been killed on the field. Faldio only wounded her banking on her powers to heal her. I don't like him for it but it was a valid plan.

Its nice to see that Welkin is more than just some tree-hugger. Although, I wish he would have went for 48 hours of isolation, if you catch my drift.
