This doesn't mean we have to become like the squirrel and eat nuts and seeds all day. Fish migrate according to the temperature of the water, so yes some the destruction is due to oil rigs, but plenty of fresh fish can be found breeding, and the ocean still has plenty to give. Mercury is actually a natural element. Yes, if you have too much of it , it can cause problems. Just like if you have too much of anyone thing. Please rescind the Animal Holocaust raging all around us.
@DonMega187 What if you cannot afford cabbage/vegetables from somewhere else? Do you continue to let the animal chew through your food supply or do you intervene in some way?
@flanksteak2 you have just made yourself an exact situation of what is happening in third world countries right now (but without the involvement of animals).
a very arrogant sidestep to back someone into a corner.
one for you: as the global population grows, we have more people to feed and more animals to feed in slaughter houses. what do you suppose we do when theres not enough food to feed everyone?
this meat industry is not sustainable for the planet as a whole.
@MrGcm1984 actually if the whole world was vegan, the world would be a much better place. there would be enough food to go around everyone.
millions of people die of starvation every year and the amount of food used to rear animals in slaughter houses could provide way more than enough food for these people to live awesome diets.
maybe you should actually do some research before you jump to conclusions. rumours and tales never get us anywhere.
@u9p87 Actually it's YOU who needs to do the research. It is incredibly obvious that you are taking what you read or heard at face value without doing your own fact checking of your own.
How about you engage your brain before you start spouting off propaganda. Now what do I mean about propaganda? Unbiased sources who have no agenda but to state facts and to spread information. It rather obvious that you haven't done this. Continued
@u9p87 ...Otherwise you have known a little political monetary situation in Europe and Africa that happened a few years ago. Research was done and it turned out to be a bad thing for Africa and Europe. I suggest you look into this.
Yes I am being vague because, just maybe you will look this up for yourself.
@MrGcm1984 i havn't the slightest clue what your talking about. africa is a huge place, give me a name of s country in africa and il be sure to check that out. and what exactly would be a bad thing for africa and europe? ... please be more clear.
i put my faith in the good name of science; hence reading is good enough to educate my self. what do you mean i should do some fact finding my self? (READING).... we can only follow one professional field in a single life time you know.
@u9p87 I can do better. Go to the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations website. Go to the Economic and Social Development Department. You will get all the info you need on this subject.
It will take you awhile to sift through the site though.
@u9p87 What makes you think there won't be enough food to feed everyone? Right now you environmental twits have us turning corn into motor vehicle fuel for Pete's sake not to mention massive unfinished irrigation projects and idled small farms.
Barring the sun keeps shining, your scenario simply isn't plausible.
@flanksteak2 would you like some time to rephrase your last comment before anyone else but me notices that you have made an idiot of yourself. how does an animal concentrate food nutrients exactly?
didn't you ever learn at school that all animals eat food for energy, growth and repair. the fact its takes 13kg of corn to produce 1 kg of beef; then you make your own educated guess and say that animal flesh concentrates food nutrients.
@u9p87 1 KG of beef contains as much useable nutrients (to humans) than 13 Kg's of corn.
Pretty tough to figure that out isn't it?
Now, assuming we let the animal graze on non-aerable land (slopes, steppes, etc) then we are much further ahead than if we had to grow 26 lbs of corn (thats a lot of fuck'n corn) to feed ourselves.
@flanksteak2 the amount of energy it takes to break down and even dispose the meat is much greater than that of eating a vegetarian equivalent of nutrients. meat is full of growth hormones and the fat on the meat is riddles with viruses form an animals previous infection. your bodies immune system has to respond to this and as a result, use more energy.
in the long run, meat certainly isn't worth the hassle nor the health risks.
@u9p87 And certainly you must realize that vegetables aren't always in season and must be stored and transported from areas where they can grown. This requires fossil fuels. It's more energy effective to feed a cow and transport a few lbs of meat rather than 2 tons of vegetables that would be required to replace that amount of meat.
30 bannanas a day and you think you are a friend of the planet? Get real!
@flanksteak2 from bottom to the top of a food chain; approximately 10% energy is lost at each stage. you have demonstrated once again that you have no clue what your talking about when it comes to nutrition.
30 bananas per day isn't going to do any good at all. did you even know that bananas have a high potassium content.
im not going to debate this with you anymore. there seems to be 1 hour pauses before i get a reply. i want to hear your knowledge, not a snapshot os wikipedia you found.
@u9p87 Oh I am just referencing one of the most popular vegan sites on the "30 bannanas a day".
You didn't say anything about nutrition, you were talking about food production and I clearly pointed out that an animal can freely roam non-aerable and acquire nutrients and end up as a nutrient rich food source in our food supply thus increasing, not decreasing the amount of food available.
VS tilling IRRIGATED land with DIESEL tractors to grow vegetables to harvest a couple times a year.
@flanksteak2 you have completely missed the point about 13kg of corn to produce 1kg of beef. it doesn't mean that as a human meat eater, if we consume that 1 kg of beef that we will automatically consume 13kg worth or corn energy; you are sorrily mistaken.
if you want to consume 13kg worth or corn energy then you gotta cut out the cow.
by the time that energy gets to the human meat eater it would have decreased by a further 10%.
This video seems to fit the definition not of one designed to present a convincing and reasonable argument, but more of propaganda; sad music and unrelated pictures are alongside out of context statements rather than plain reason or evidence.
@skulleeman@skulleeman of course she's very biased person and wants to bring forth her opinion. feel free to do the same. what did u expect? nobody can be non biased, especially any government run authorities, who have their hands way too deep involved in it all. try documentaries such as food inc. or earthlings, although u may find them somewhat dramatizing it all also. for a good reason though
1) I don't care what vitamins, minerals or miracle substances are in my food, I will eat it if it tastes good, is sourced ethically and does not adversely affect my health.
2)The mercury is only in trace amounts and has no noticeable effect.
The only part of this video that stands up to argument is the part regarding trawling and by-catch; and where I live we catch our fish or buy it locally, no poor, starving families involved. Trawling is unsustainable and destroys eco-systems.
@Carlyxo21 taste has little to do with nutritional value of the food. and to not care about such things, but only care about taste is the worst idiocy and ignorance! anything can be made to taste good. even dog shit. mix in some chocolates and artificial flavorings and plenty of artificial colors and u've got a nice yummy tasting mix of artificial shit. enjoy ur shit. it shouldn't have adverse effects on ur health either, as dogs do eat their shit and stay healthy afterall (most of the time ;))
@skulleeman@skulleeman dude dolphin meat has so much mercury in it it's definitely not trace amounts. it's tens of times over the recommended maximum value even by governments authorities. there's many cases of sickness related to eating whale or dolphin meats. often dolphin meat is mislabeled whale meat as many people would not buy anything labeled "dolphin meat" when they're kinda cute etc(as if whales weren't).and the amount of mercury is raising all the time which adds more and more illness
Eating fish causes learning disabilities? Then how would explain my being in the top of my class in school alongside eating tuna (canned tuna!) nearly every day?
The FDA has released guidelines for children, women who are pregnant and women who are trying to become pregnant. These guidelines state that no more than 12 oz of low mercury fish should be consumed weekly. "Highest" mercury fish should be avoided and "high" mercury fish should be kept to only three 6-oz servings per month. What does this mean for women who are pregnant but also trying to get some of their much needed nutrients from the critters of the sea? It is all about MODERATION.
Leviticus 11:1-47 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them, “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth. Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.
@ApacheBoneknife “These you may eat, of all that are in the waters. Everything in the waters that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat. 10 But anything in the seas or the rivers that does not have fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and of the living creatures that are in the waters, is detestable to you.
Does anyone remember that bible verse in the book of Daniel? Daniel refuses to eat the meat at the kings table and only eats fruits and vegetables. It says he looked healthier and better nourished than the king's men.
I stopped the vid at "fish contains mercury because we dump in the sea". While you are right, you should see what we intentionally put on plants. THAT is far worse. especially as it flows down the waterways, into the sea, to screw both salt and freshwater fish over.
@claoufaeng So that's an excuse to keep eating meat, HOW? In addition to eating cruelty, death, hormones, diseases and antibiotics from LIVING and SENTIENT beings, you're also consuming TENS of times more plants that contain all "that"!! 95% percent of all GMO plants in the US is fed to ANIMALS!!! Seriously, if you want to be healthier AND happier, go vegan. Believe me, in this day it is the best thing you can do for yourself as well as many others.
Jesus ate the passover lamb but since 1844 Daniel 8:14 God wants us to fast. See Isaiah 22:12-14 It wasn't a sin to eat meat before 1844 but it is now. Google 'bible reason for vegetarianism' sabbathsermons
Our ancestors thrived on meat for millions of years. Grains have only been part of the human diet for the last 10,000 years.....low fat/high carb diet is a formula for all kinds of disease.
@samherb1 They thrived on meat from WILD GAME, NOT animals kept in filthy and tiny places RIDDLED with disease and stress. Not to mention they ALSO ate fruit and vegetables- DUH!! Nobody said you had to eat carbs- have you heard of being a fruitarian? And also, I personally don't believe in "the theory that humans EVOLVED from apes". Why would it ONLY happen to US, and WHY did it happen SO FAST? It took BILLIONS of years for bacteria to become the simplest life.
A lot of misinformation in this video. The mercury scare is blown way out of proportion. Read about fish high in selenium and it's effect on mercury. If you want to talk about the difference in food between now and Jesus time than take a look at all the grains you eat. They have ALL been genetically modified. Even "organics". Read about how different wheat is today than it was several thousand years ago.
@Victissive How are we cannibals if we don't eat human meat? And why are you suggesting genocide? Wouldn't that be the same as what is happening now to cows and pigs and fish? It's okay to kill a mother, father, son, or daughter, but it's totally wrong to kill a cow raised to only be eaten, is this what you're saying?
@robertoluvsraven1343 yes thats what he wants to tell us, because every species has the same rights in his sad unhealthy world without meat...
i love meat AND i love animals!!! must be unbelievable for him...
but i guess his problem is that there still are cows only raised to be eaten;-)
imo thats ok as long as in the slaughterhouses the animals are killed fast and as ''humane'' as possible... what is the case in over 90%... 100% would be better thou...
@Mallhall85 I love meat and animals too, I don't see how difficult that is to understand. Just because I eat meat doesn't mean I am not sane and will eat anything that is made of meat, that's such a stupid, childish argument.
And I agree, I hate the fact sick people take advantage of slaughterhouses and kill the poor animals quick, not torturing them. I would much prefer to buy and eat meat from real farms where the animal was raised healthy and not processed by machines, but I can't. And np(:
@UmbreonAndEspeon1 Oh, was that supposed to insult me or something? Do you really think that's supposed to change my stance? That's pathetic. "I'll visit your tombstone." Oh my God, someone on YouTube says I'm going to die before them, I'm gonna go cut myself now. And no, I will not stop eating meat. I enjoy eating meat, because I love the taste.
1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands. 3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
This brings me to the animals that were killed to bring us the plants we eat.
This is like a "land by catch." The argument against this? We don't have to kill all those animals. But we don't have to kill all those sea animals either.
Vegetarianism and veganism help the symptoms but do not change the cause, which is greed.
How do you stop a greedy corporation harming animals? Give money to another greedy corporation.
Also, mercury poisoning spreads from the point source to around the globe.
You are only saying that your food is LESS contaminated.
Perhaps instead of saying this will kill you slower then that, we should stop the poisoning of our planet with man made toxins. You know, like mercury, the same metal that is in the computer all of us are using ATM. -_-
Actually nothing "causes" cancer. You see, cancer is the result of mutations. Sunlight, toxins, viruses, etc. cause mutations and then these mutations can cause cancer.
Of course this is random. Someone could get cancer being a vegan all their life and an omnivore could diet of old age at home in their sleep when they are 108.
@WretchedRecords LISTEN to this girl. The news just wants you to keep giving the animal food industries what they want- they never mention their secrets. Look up "Dangers of Milk" as well as "Dangers of Eggs"- you will be surprised.
It goes both ways, the industry of vitamins who makes big money from vegetarians have interests in this. They have interests in lying to the people and persuading them to give up meat, eggs, milk and all that. Don't you think?
@gyalisandino 1.Your claims are completely false. Do you realize how expensive meat is? starving children in 3rd world countries can't afford to eat meat! These children are living off of grains because that is simply all they can afford. 2. the reason why they are starving in the first place is because 70% of the grains we grow in the world goes to livestock feed. you are literally taking food from starving children. so dont YOU dare use starving children to help YOUR case.
You need to realize that not everyone has the option to choose between meat and veges. There are millions of people in 3rd world countries that are surviving off meat. You even dare to put up a picture of starving children who desperately need it. You obviously have had a decent life growing up with options. Millions of people don't and have to eat what they can to survive. Pushing you beliefs on people with options is fine but don't you dare use starving children to help your case.
Fish oils contain long chain omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 LONG CHAIN fatty acids completely prevent heart disease. Your list of Flora based omega 3 sources are pathertic, they contain short or medium chain omega 3 fatty acids. If you don't know about the human body and how it functions, but you think you do because you read shit on the internet, stop making videos. Shell123ey, just shut your ignorant mouth.
@ZombehWolf The body processes omega 3 (from for example flax seeds) into EPA, which is what the body really needs. So it is possible to get all the nutritions you need without eating animal products.
@thereseeleonora Lol @ moron. Your body HAS to process them to even use them, if the source of omega 3 is from a source like silly flax seed. Long chain fatty acids from seal blubber or fish oil don't need to be converted within the body, minimizing waste an optimising efficency. Also, that short chain flax/plant derived omega 3 conversion barely works within the human body, just to let you know. Plant derived omega 3's are vastly inferior. Especially concerning EPA.
@ZombehWolf Thanks for being rude... It is true that vegetarian sources of omega 3,6,9 have a less amount of it than an animal product source. But a well informed vegetarian/vegan knows to combine many of the vegetarian sources because the sum of the nutritions add up to what the body needs. I'm just saying that it is possible to live on a vegan diet and still get all the nutritions you need. And yes, it requires more effort to make a meal that gives you what you need. But I think it's worth it.
@ZombehWolf telling Shell123 to shut up with a name like Zombehwolf... please shut your ignorant mouth please. Ignorance is YOU! Take some nutritional courses before speaking moron!
@Carlyxo21 Well you're right. With a name like ZombehWolf I must be an idiot! I'll make sure to change it too SmartAssNutritionalist. Then maybe my intelligent comments will be taken seriously
@Carlyxo21 lol nothing wrong with his nick. u're very desperately trying to find things to diss a person with, rather than focusing on the facts and essentials in arguments
As the son of a doctor I can tell you with 100% fact based evidence that fish is good for you and should be a part of everyone's diet, just look at how long the Japanese generally live for, get fish from somewhere that isn't imported from third world countries, local is the best quality as it hasn't travelled half the world and isn't packed full of preservatives, same goes for all your meat, vegies and fruit.
@samherb1 The correct translation of Luke 24:42-43, John 21:9-13 and the bible in generel has been contested since the first centuries simply because the catolic "church" burned and murded all supporters of more mercifull interpretations of the bible doesnt mean that the catolic translation is the correct one. The catolic "church" destroyed 32 out of the original 36 gospels broadly recognised as christian gospels until the catolic church gained military power in the third century.
@Siegthor I will assume you mean "Catholic", not "Catolic"?? At any rate, we can argue all day about the accuracy of the Bible. There is so much evidence out there for it's accuracy it seems silly to try to dispute it. Even if you don't believe the bible you can study history and see how many long lived cultures thrived on fish and animal meat.
@samherb1 You are not being honest. Whatever evidence you belive is out there for Jesus preaching and practing abuse and cruelty towards animals. All come frem the same source: The Catholic "church" who hijacked christianity in the third century. 32 of the 36 gospels known to history contest their cruel understanding of the teachings of Christ. If you are sincere investigate things like: " Albigensian crusade, The Cathar Crusade,The gospel of Thomas " etc.
@Siegthor There are copies of the Book of Luke dating back to the first century. Long before the crusades you are talking about. The Gospel of Thomas was not included in the New Testament because it is Gnostic.....going again fundamental Christian beliefs. Look, No one is going to "win" this argument. If you don't want to eat fish that's cool with me. But a lot of very healthy people do....and I intend to continue doing it.
@samherb1 The Christ taught: Love oneanother..and thou shall not kill" Animals are factually not stones. You abuse you free will and take instructions from people who preach and pratcise abuse and killing of the innocents instead of listening to the pure gnostic teachings of the compassionate Christ because you are stonehearted also.
What can be done, You are making a farce out of your religios life. Had your heart been purer you would not be attracted to cruel abusive instructions
Wait?! You condone eating fish if you don't no anything else, but if you live in a country where a vegan diet is possible you should do so. Contradiction! Try letting your arguments hold up against scrutiny instead of melancholy piano and ad hominem persuasion.
@saccyind They were told not to eat foods such as pork because they couldn't prepare it so that it was safe, but they ate lamb which doesn't need to be cooked all the way through.
Sad girl with sad music talking about sad things. :*( aww The difference between vegans and omnivores is that while omnivores are seen as sadists towards animals, vegans are sadistic to their own kind. Prove me wrong. (Save a cow, starve a mother.)
I don't eat fish, because I think it's nasty lol I don't trust eating anything from the oceans or rivers. I like to stick with stuff found on dry land =D
You want to know something else about mercury? It is only poisonous in it's gaseous form. You can eat all the mercury you want as long as you don't inhale any fumes....fumes that will NOT be released in your body.
Learn basic chemistry before making videos like this.
@SireniUltimatum she should also learn basic medical skills because most of the stuff she said must have been pulled of Wikipedia... little does she know that vegan food has got small amounts of pesticides, since it needs to me mass produced. And vegans dont wear animal products. fake clothes waste substance is being pumped into rivers killing fish (and animals who drink it) examples such as fake fur made of polyester.
@SireniUltimatum sadly people in the word believe anything on TV. People should educate themselves. I remember having an argument with an animals rights girl, who wore... leather gloves, addidas trainers and was chewing on chewing gum. When i told her 'most gum has gelatin which is animal based' she did not have a clue. I should make a video about extensive fruit and vegetable farming. That will be some eye opener. also Soya is contributing to diseases as well. but that's all hushed
@johanetkriel you must be in that 5% that knows what they are talking about. sadly text restriction doesn't allow me to type loads, and indeed, people have the right to choose their lifestyle, each lifestyle will have negative and positive aspects. We can sit here for hours arguing how bad a vegan lifestyle is and how bad a meat eating lifestyle is. In the long run the ball will not end up in anyone's court, it will keep bouncing back :)
@Lindseylava Shelley isn't Christian as far as I know (I could be wrong). The video isn't about Jesus or Christianity. Extremely important message here.
Freelea and Duriarnrider need to take learn from YOU Shell23ey - agression is not going to want people to change, FACTS are. I learn alot more from you because I'm not just focussing on the agression and superiority in your videos because you don't portray any of those qualities. Straight up, informative, and calm demenour. Great job, keep it up :)
Don't forget the damn plants! If only plants could have the same damn voices as animals. Just because plants can not talk or "not feel pain" does not justify your right to kill a living species. If only plants could talk...oh and some plants eat meat, just saying.
No one should be a vegan without first sitting on a real honest-to-goodness plow and plowing a field. Look behind you, and marvel at all the chopped-up rabbit nests, mouse nests, lizard/snake body parts, etc. Speculate on the (thousands/millions) of small animals and insects dying for you. How big or human-like does a face need to be before you'll attach value to it? It's the choice between being a realist who embraces science and logic, versus being a hypocrite. You've made your choice.
@Xiphos0292 And how many small animals don't you think die for you when you eat meat? Those cows and other barnyard animals are fed with the same oats etc that we eat, only it takes a WHOLE LOT MORE oats for one pound of meat than if we'd just eat the oats ourselves directly. Remember, a cow eats a lot in it's five years of life. So by comparison the vegan way is a drop in the ocean. Really, do the maths before making such a statement claiming you have logic on your side.
@kittensandtheglitz Yes and if you are religious -> IN NONE of the religions it is mentioned that you have to kill animals. ''Thou shalt not kill'' doesn't relate just to killing men. Killing is inhumane and immoral
@thaappaya hey meat head, whats up? how ya doing? just letting ya know..noy all v&v's like PETA =) their not the best animal rights group out their. just sayin. some arent even veggies =)
@nerdymom2 Thank you for mentioning that. I am a vegan who despises PETA with a passion. In fact, PETA kept me from going vegetarian for several years because they'd stained the word with crazy. I feel like they're actually actively working against us most of the time, and very effectively so.
@TheShibo The reality is that PETA IS "ACTIVELY WORKING" like other orgs as well. It is with their ACTIONS that the word VEGAN/VEGETARIAN is as well known as it is today. Could they have done it "better"? In hindsight you may believe so buthave YOUR actions been as impactful? I doubt it. Sometimes it takes some radical action/words to wake our arrogant species up. They do what they do you do what you do but please, step it up.. Ive never heard of you.
the thing is though the amount of fish they already catch daily and the amount they kill...are already dead those families already starved...by not eating it your then doing an injustice to them by wasting their existence...but then if enough of us don't buy it they wont sell...such a paradox and a pain in the ass...wish more people would just wake up...we die but our children live on and were bringing them into a barren world...
Lolol, fish is still tastyyy. So if I go up north in a nearly un-inhabited area, catch my own fish, filet them, cook them, I'm killing myself? Mhm... I want fish now! Lakes need to freeze so I can ice fish now!
I had no clue how vital a decision I was making a year ago when I became a vegan. It amazes me. I find new reasons everyday to continue. I think I'll make something delectable with spinach tonight.
@QueenOfFlyingHearts Totally agree with you. The longer you're a vegan, and the more you read about how it benefits your health, other human beings, the animals, and the earth, the more it affirms how vital that choice was.
Meat farms produce much pollution. But guess what? So does everything else, from making your veggies and tofu to the car you drive. You can't pin pollution on meat companies just because you don't like the food they make.Yes, factory farming is cruel. But it is not the only way to get meat, you just hear the bad side. Not all farms treat animals cruely.Buy local, or organic.
You cannot say we rape animals, that is sick.We just eat them. You just talk about the factory farms as if ethical farms don't exist. And the flesh is no more rotten than dead vegetables. You just say that in a pathetic attempt to gross us ou. that meat is checked for freshnedd by the same company that makes your tofu.
@TapionPinosha to get milk from a cow it has to have just had a calf, which means we rape the cow to get it pregnant so that we can then get its milk. and yes, ethical farms exist, although since 98% of meat in the US comes from factory farms and 75% of the meat in the UK does, i doubt that's the meat you get. besides the fact that what you're saying is an obvious oxymoron: ethical killing? humane slaughter? compassionate murder? really?
Apparantly animals are morally equal to humans and have thought and reason. When a human eats a chicken, its murder. But when a lion eats a zebra, its ok because they are inferior creatures without reason. Hypocrites.
@TapionPinosha a lion needs to eat zebras to survive. you don't. i don't think there's anything wrong with eskimos eating a walrus or bushmen eating an impala because they don't have a choice. but you, commenting on this from your nice computer definetely have access to vegetarian and vegan foods, so there is absolutely no reason for you to go around murdering chickens. a lion doesn't kill a zebra because it tastes good, it kills it because if not he'll die. will you die if you don't eat meat?
Yes, but obviously, you could buy fish that isn't from the wild. Pollution is one of the reasons they have FISH FARMS! Thats right, now you could buy fish that arn't filled with mercury!
@TapionPinosha what do you think they feed fish on fish farms? guess what. it's other smaller fish that we fish from the ocean! woah that's a surprise
@MrSaundersc its true, staying inside all day is the same exact thing as no longer eating fish. no difference at all. good job man, that just blew away the entire argument for vegetarianism. what an excellent logic you have. it's too bad we don't have more politicians with your reasoning skills, we might actually be in a better situation right now. oh wai

This doesn't mean we have to become like the squirrel and eat nuts and seeds all day. @u9p87 Neither is making thw world vegan. Problems are still there.
MrGcm1984 1 week ago
@MrGcm1984 actually if the whole world was vegan, the world would be a much better place. there would be enough food to go around everyone.
millions of people die of starvation every year and the amount of food used to rear animals in slaughter houses could provide way more than enough food for these people to live awesome diets.
maybe you should actually do some research before you jump to conclusions. rumours and tales never get us anywhere.
u9p87 1 week ago
@u9p87 The animal concentrates plant nutrients and can live and graze land that cannot be cultivated.
Consumption of animals increases our food supply. That is why we eat them.
flanksteak2 1 week ago
@u9p87 Actually it's YOU who needs to do the research. It is incredibly obvious that you are taking what you read or heard at face value without doing your own fact checking of your own.
How about you engage your brain before you start spouting off propaganda. Now what do I mean about propaganda? Unbiased sources who have no agenda but to state facts and to spread information. It rather obvious that you haven't done this. Continued

@u9p87 What makes you think there won't be enough food to feed everyone? Right now you environmental twits have us turning corn into motor vehicle fuel for Pete's sake not to mention massive unfinished irrigation projects and idled small farms.
Barring the sun keeps shining, your scenario simply isn't plausible.
flanksteak2 1 week ago
@flanksteak2 would you like some time to rephrase your last comment before anyone else but me notices that you have made an idiot of yourself. how does an animal concentrate food nutrients exactly?
didn't you ever learn at school that all animals eat food for energy, growth and repair. the fact its takes 13kg of corn to produce 1 kg of beef; then you make your own educated guess and say that animal flesh concentrates food nutrients.
u9p87 1 week ago
@u9p87 1 KG of beef contains as much useable nutrients (to humans) than 13 Kg's of corn.
Pretty tough to figure that out isn't it?
Now, assuming we let the animal graze on non-aerable land (slopes, steppes, etc) then we are much further ahead than if we had to grow 26 lbs of corn (thats a lot of fuck'n corn) to feed ourselves.
Now
flanksteak2 1 week ago
@flanksteak2 the amount of energy it takes to break down and even dispose the meat is much greater than that of eating a vegetarian equivalent of nutrients. meat is full of growth hormones and the fat on the meat is riddles with viruses form an animals previous infection. your bodies immune system has to respond to this and as a result, use more energy.
in the long run, meat certainly isn't worth the hassle nor the health risks.
u9p87 1 week ago
@u9p87 All of that is your misinformed opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.
flanksteak2 1 week ago
@u9p87 And certainly you must realize that vegetables aren't always in season and must be stored and transported from areas where they can grown. This requires fossil fuels. It's more energy effective to feed a cow and transport a few lbs of meat rather than 2 tons of vegetables that would be required to replace that amount of meat.
30 bannanas a day and you think you are a friend of the planet? Get real!
flanksteak2 1 week ago
@flanksteak2 from bottom to the top of a food chain; approximately 10% energy is lost at each stage. you have demonstrated once again that you have no clue what your talking about when it comes to nutrition.
30 bananas per day isn't going to do any good at all. did you even know that bananas have a high potassium content.
im not going to debate this with you anymore. there seems to be 1 hour pauses before i get a reply. i want to hear your knowledge, not a snapshot os wikipedia you found.
u9p87 1 week ago
@u9p87 Oh I am just referencing one of the most popular vegan sites on the "30 bannanas a day".
You didn't say anything about nutrition, you were talking about food production and I clearly pointed out that an animal can freely roam non-aerable and acquire nutrients and end up as a nutrient rich food source in our food supply thus increasing, not decreasing the amount of food available.
VS tilling IRRIGATED land with DIESEL tractors to grow vegetables to harvest a couple times a year.
flanksteak2 1 week ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@flanksteak2 you have completely missed the point about 13kg of corn to produce 1kg of beef. it doesn't mean that as a human meat eater, if we consume that 1 kg of beef that we will automatically consume 13kg worth or corn energy; you are sorrily mistaken.
if you want to consume 13kg worth or corn energy then you gotta cut out the cow.
by the time that energy gets to the human meat eater it would have decreased by a further 10%.

DrKyure 1 month ago
Also, mercury poisoning spreads from the point source to around the globe.
You are only saying that your food is LESS contaminated.
Perhaps instead of saying this will kill you slower then that, we should stop the poisoning of our planet with man made toxins. You know, like mercury, the same metal that is in the computer all of us are using ATM. -_-
Just a thought.

RileyLouiseify 1 month ago
@RileyLouiseify: The starving children can also not afford to eat plants, thus the term "starving."
All of that has to do with economics which I doubt you fully understand (like flooding a foreign market with cheaper food then the native farmers).
But if one was to shoot a deer, it wouldn't lead to starvation in Africa.
Meat is sustainable if done correctly.
Also, the potato blight. Know about it? the food they grew was for humans to eat and they still couldn't eat it.
DrKyure 1 month ago
You need to realize that not everyone has the option to choose between meat and veges. There are millions of people in 3rd world countries that are surviving off meat. You even dare to put up a picture of starving children who desperately need it. You obviously have had a decent life growing up with options. Millions of people don't and have to eat what they can to survive. Pushing you beliefs on people with options is fine but don't you dare use starving children to help your case.

Fish oils contain long chain omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 LONG CHAIN fatty acids completely prevent heart disease. If you don't know about the human body and how it functions, but you think you do because you read shit on the internet, stop making videos. Shell123ey, just shut your ignorant mouth.
ZombehWolf 1 month ago
@ZombehWolf The body processes omega 3 (from for example flax seeds) into EPA, which is what the body really needs. So it is possible to get all the nutritions you need without eating animal products.
thereseeleonora 1 month ago
@thereseeleonora Lol @ moron. Your body HAS to process them to even use them, if the source of omega 3 is from a source like silly flax seed. Long chain fatty acids from seal blubber or fish oil don't need to be converted within the body, minimizing waste an optimising efficency. Also, that short chain flax/plant derived omega 3 conversion barely works within the human body, just to let you know. Plant derived omega 3's are vastly inferior. Especially concerning EPA.
ZombehWolf 1 month ago
@ZombehWolf Thanks for being rude... It is true that vegetarian sources of omega 3,6,9 have a less amount of it than an animal product source. But a well informed vegetarian/vegan knows to combine many of the vegetarian sources because the sum of the nutritions add up to what the body needs. I'm just saying that it is possible to live on a vegan diet and still get all the nutritions you need. And yes, it requires more effort to make a meal that gives you what you need. But I think it's worth it.

@Siegthor There are copies of the Book of Luke dating back to the first century. Long before the crusades you are talking about.

If only plants could talk...oh and some plants eat meat, just saying.
nick60444 2 months ago
No one should be a vegan without first sitting on a real honest-to-goodness plow and plowing a field. Look behind you, and marvel at all the chopped-up rabbit nests, mouse nests, lizard/snake body parts, etc. Speculate on the (thousands/millions) of small animals and insects dying for you. How big or human-like does a face need to be before you'll attach value to it? It's the choice between being a realist who embraces science and logic, versus being a hypocrite. You've made your choice.
Xiphos0292 2 months ago
@Xiphos0292 And how many small animals don't you think die for you when you eat meat? Those cows and other barnyard animals are fed with the same oats etc that we eat, only it takes a WHOLE LOT MORE oats for one pound of meat than if we'd just eat the oats ourselves directly. Remember, a cow eats a lot in it's five years of life. So by comparison the vegan way is a drop in the ocean. Really, do the maths before making such a statement claiming you have logic on your side.
kittensandtheglitz 1 month ago in playlist Fler videoklipp från Shell123ey
@kittensandtheglitz Yes and if you are religious -> IN NONE of the religions it is mentioned that you have to kill animals. ''Thou shalt not kill'' doesn't relate just to killing men. Killing is inhumane and immoral

@thaappaya hey meat head, whats up? how ya doing? just letting ya know..noy all v&v's like PETA =) their not the best animal rights group out their. just sayin. some arent even veggies =)
have a good day!
nerdymom2 2 months ago
@nerdymom2 Thank you for mentioning that. I am a vegan who despises PETA with a passion. In fact, PETA kept me from going vegetarian for several years because they'd stained the word with crazy. I feel like they're actually actively working against us most of the time, and very effectively so.
TheShibo 2 months ago 11
@TheShibo The reality is that PETA IS "ACTIVELY WORKING" like other orgs as well. It is with their ACTIONS that the word VEGAN/VEGETARIAN is as well known as it is today. Could they have done it "better"? In hindsight you may believe so buthave YOUR actions been as impactful? I doubt it. Sometimes it takes some radical action/words to wake our arrogant species up. They do what they do you do what you do but please, step it up.. Ive never heard of you.
MeEatEgg 1 month ago
@thaappaya PETA sucks, and there are a LOT of vegetarians and vegans that can't stand them.

the thing is though the amount of fish they already catch daily and the amount they kill...are already dead those families already starved...by not eating it your then doing an injustice to them by wasting their existence...but then if enough of us don't buy it they wont sell...such a paradox and a pain in the ass...wish more people would just wake up...we die but our children live on and were bringing them into a barren world...
NaeThing 2 months ago
Lolol, fish is still tastyyy. So if I go up north in a nearly un-inhabited area, catch my own fish, filet them, cook them, I'm killing myself? Mhm... I want fish now! Lakes need to freeze so I can ice fish now!

I had no clue how vital a decision I was making a year ago when I became a vegan. It amazes me. I find new reasons everyday to continue. I think I'll make something delectable with spinach tonight.
QueenOfFlyingHearts 2 months ago 18
@QueenOfFlyingHearts Totally agree with you. The longer you're a vegan, and the more you read about how it benefits your health, other human beings, the animals, and the earth, the more it affirms how vital that choice was.

@rekomsoj How come you didn't answer this issue? "Furthermore, it's not the job of the opposition to make her points for her."
....Because your original comment that provoked this response from me was "STUPID".

@rekomsoj You should see the first 25 seconds of her video: It's NATURAL To Eat MEAT.
She looks tastier than a medium rare organic rib eye steak!!!

TapionPinosha 2 months ago
You cannot say we rape animals, that is sick.We just eat them. You just talk about the factory farms as if ethical farms don't exist. And the flesh is no more rotten than dead vegetables. You just say that in a pathetic attempt to gross us ou. that meat is checked for freshnedd by the same company that makes your tofu.
TapionPinosha 2 months ago
@TapionPinosha to get milk from a cow it has to have just had a calf, which means we rape the cow to get it pregnant so that we can then get its milk. and yes, ethical farms exist, although since 98% of meat in the US comes from factory farms and 75% of the meat in the UK does, i doubt that's the meat you get. besides the fact that what you're saying is an obvious oxymoron: ethical killing? humane slaughter? compassionate murder? really?
LSFATV 1 month ago
Apparantly animals are morally equal to humans and have thought and reason. When a human eats a chicken, its murder. But when a lion eats a zebra, its ok because they are inferior creatures without reason. Hypocrites.
TapionPinosha 2 months ago
@TapionPinosha a lion needs to eat zebras to survive. you don't. i don't think there's anything wrong with eskimos eating a walrus or bushmen eating an impala because they don't have a choice. but you, commenting on this from your nice computer definetely have access to vegetarian and vegan foods, so there is absolutely no reason for you to go around murdering chickens. a lion doesn't kill a zebra because it tastes good, it kills it because if not he'll die. will you die if you don't eat meat?
LSFATV 1 month ago
Yes, but obviously, you could buy fish that isn't from the wild. Pollution is one of the reasons they have FISH FARMS! Thats right, now you could buy fish that arn't filled with mercury!
TapionPinosha 2 months ago
@TapionPinosha what do you think they feed fish on fish farms? guess what. it's other smaller fish that we fish from the ocean! woah that's a surprise
LSFATV 1 month ago
the sun causes cancer, what are we to do? stay inside all day?
MrSaundersc 2 months ago
@MrSaundersc its true, staying inside all day is the same exact thing as no longer eating fish. no difference at all. good job man, that just blew away the entire argument for vegetarianism. what an excellent logic you have. it's too bad we don't have more politicians with your reasoning skills, we might actually be in a better situation right now. oh wai
