  • You ripped it man, good job.

  • frikin sweet dude. who gives a shit if its the wrong band. its all about the trouser bass. (as in funky way, not gay and penis like, im not that kind of gay... i mean guy... cough...)

  • Sugar Hill Gang bub

  • wrong wrong wrong wrong , its by THE SUGAR HILL GANG , THE MOST IMPORTANT FORMATION OF RAP !

  • And the audio is the Def Squad version....

  • nice man!

  • "Rapper's delight" wasn't by Grandmaster Flash, it was The Sugar Hill Gang. The version here is the Def Squad version.

  • Can u tell me where i can find the notes to this or any 80s rnb/rap songs?

    pretty fly

  • I like it

  • i've been tryin' to learn this song but can't get the 2nd part

  • The original bassline is actually taken from Chic's Good Times, it was only made famous by the Sugar Hill Gang, not original though, like most rap it plagarises a lot.

  • Fake? Why would it be fake?! Listen to the bit like 2nd or 3rd riff in where I blatantly play the wrong bit and the music carries on in the background... sheesh...crap - but not fake lol

  • People on youtube don't know shit about music thus the fake comments and arguments all over good players stuff. Keep grooving man, nice stuff! :)

  • The song he is playing is

    Def Squad - Rapper's Delight

The Sugarhill Gang originally did Rappers Delight But Grandmaster Caz wrote the shit never got a Dime

  • alright dude

  • could you please send me the tab you played, as the ones i've found were crap

  • Nice, but the song is by The Sugarhill Gang, not GFlash :)

  • DOH!

  • your style is so smooth. i just started bass and the way you play it is so nice

  • Thank you very much :) It's just about playing it so much that it becomes a friend rather than an instrument. Without wanting to sound weird :p And play regular too, doesn't matter what you play!
