As an American who was born in France and grew up there until the age of 16, I have to agree and disagree with you. Yes, the unemployment rate is horrible. The economy is indeed struggling. But the "gun crime" as you call it is quite isolated and no where close to the problem that we have here in the US. Inferiority complex towards the English?
