Oh hello! Have you heard the talk about - fast abs magic (do a google search)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my father got amazing Six pack abs and lost lots of fat with it.
Im recovering from lower back injury. When I will be alright, which exercises should I do to strenghten my lowerback to avoid any further injuries of lowerback in my life? I mean I dont want to deadlift right when i recover from it. I wanna go from the beginning because I really worry about my lowerback, I dont wanna injure it another time and rupture my disc.
@yellowblood I believe I got it because of doing clean and press with bad technique. After few times of doing it I felt a small pain in lower back but I thought its just muscle sourness so I didnt care very much and I kept doing the exercise but of course with bad form and adding weight. So one time after clean and press training I really felt pain in my lowerback, hips and all. It was like 2 months ago and Im still recovering from it. Im doing some stretching exercises and reverse crunches.

@HermanHermes Oh, that clean & press exercise looks difficult. My back hurts just looking at it. I'm just afraid I will end up hurting my lower back too with my 25lbs back extensions... The thing is that the feeling you get in the lower back after exercise is very different that the other muscles, you can't tell if it's a normal gain-pain or a problem you should be aware of.
@yellowblood Exactly. I decided I will ask a weightlifting trainer for help. I wanna master deadlift, squats, benchpress, overhead press, and well the basic powrlifting exercises. But the problem is that I did clean and press and I didnt want to do normal deadlift....I realised just afterwards that deadlift is a part of power clean...so maybe I hurt myself because I didnt know how to do even a deadlift and I jumped straight to clean...its difficult
your advice about moving the elbow backwards rather than 'pulling' the weight towards you is excellent! helps activate the back muscles so much more, great video!
@elchamber Truth be told, they may not be overall strong, but if they were to give you a decking, chances are that their strength would match their fitness level. I'm not advocating a purely chest/arms workout, but a pure arm/chest workout > no workout.
That was a terrible first demo - right knee was bowing inwards and the back form wasn't pretty, second one was slightly better but his head placement and knee bowing was awful
what would be the difference in a wider grip and a narrower grip? will a narrower grip focus more on the "inner" back muscles and the wider grip on the "outer"?
Junglemonkey, your assumption is correct. Wide grip focuses more on lats, close grip focuses more on the center of your back. While we are on the subject of back exercises, the same holds true for pull downs and sitting row pulls.
Actually, wide grip works inner muscles and inner lats and close grip back exercises work the outer lats (what you wanna do to get a 'V' kind of body)
There seems to be a bit of confusion where this is concerned, so let's set the record straight.
bodybuildingDOTcom/fun/weik69.html
The above article addresses wide vs close grip for pull downs, but the same holds true for rows. The only difference being if you are doing horizontal T-bar/long bar rows you are targeting lower back. The more vertical you stand, the further up the back you are working.

does the T-bar Row work the whole back then? seen it in the gym looks like a great move...and how do the varied hand positions effect muscles worked?
Az260790UK 1 year ago
@Az260790UK yeah, pretty much. In my opinion, the 3 best excersizes for back muscles are : 1) wide grip pullups 2) deadlifts 3) T-bar rows =)

great demo. i think a good way to remember how to do any back exercise is to think of your hands as hooks, and to pull back with your elbows.
