  • WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THIS MOBIE ON DVD???.... any suggestions?

  • Loved hearing the voice of Optimus Prime.

  • what gets me is the whole "final 30 mins" as though the rest of the movie not even worth watching looks good though

  • Always loved this trailer!

  • An awesome and criminally underrated classic.

  • @TheAltair4

I always liked it since i was 12 and good stuff from Lovecraft

  • @vocaltalent1 the movie you might be talking about is called mausoleum came out 81.

  • the horrifying last 30 minutes... the other 2 hours will probably be 'meh'-iffying.

  • LOL. I can't believe they advertised it like that. "The final 30 minutes" - I saw this movie as a kid - and I just recently saw it for the first time since then and all I actually recall is the final 30 minutes.

For a long time I had no idea what the name of this movie was - I just remembered the final 30 minutes and described it to a friend and they told me the name of it.

  • I have this on VHS... somewhere. Still get chills when I hear the music, one of the creepiest movies I saw as a kid. Read the novel as well, quite different, the book ends with Michael chained up in the basement, and a different girl giving birth to his child.

  • @TWMAN454 Do u know much or many early 80s horror films? There is a movie I watched as a kid in the Late 80s but the movie was from years back. I remember a scene where, in a nice big house, theres a woman on a balcony, sexy-in a see-thru gown, who suggests sexually for the man who is down there somewhere(driveway--who knows) to come up. They have sex, and sometime later she turns to something evil and kills him, on the bed. Do you know this movie? I am trying to find it, but am failing.

  • @vocaltalent1 Afraid I'm drawing a blank with this one, but I'm sure somebody knows, just keep looking.

  • @vocaltalent1 The Movie is Mausoleum...not the best film, but it works in that low budget 80's way. You should also check out Nightmare Maker....another obscure flick from the same time :)

  • @Duszki Too bad I cant find the Trailer or clips. But thanks.

  • @Duszki killer tits yeah

  • the way they keep stressing "the final thirty minutes". like the rest isn't worth a toss..

  • good trailer that's optimus prime from autobots

  • And yes you better believe that Prime knows all about transformations

  • so, the last half hour is cool? what about the rest of the film?

  • @MMAniac718 Worth seeing, one of the better horror movies from the 70´s.

  • @MMAniac718 oh wait, it was actually released back in 82 and not in the late 70´s as i first thought.

  • @OldSchoolTrainingFTW

I remember seeing this movie in the theater as a kid with my older brothers.......But I never remember seeing it on Cable or any TV station.

  • 0:32 There is something inside of Michael... and its not his uncle.

  • @littlewitchboy hahahaha

  • warning, years the autobots ran out of energon....i mean the beast within

  • the movie was ok but the book was amazing and twisted.... they are nothing alike other then the caractors... and im not a reader either

  • It's based on the novel by Edward Levy.

  • @MattBL Thanks. Going to have to look that up since I like the movie.

  • Quck summery on this film. A group of guys in a small town chained up Billy and left him to die in an old abandoned house. The reason is because he would turn, much like a werewolf, but not a werewolf. He turned before he died and broke lose, only to rape a girl who, 9 months later had a child, Michael. But inside of Michael, Billy was reincarnated, (spell?) and waiting to come out through Michael and have his revenge on the dudes of the town. Not the best film, but it was good in its time.

  • @drshock111 Well first they chaind him in a cellar for fuckin around with one of their wives. One of the Kerwins was an undertaker so he fed him human bodies while he was a captive. Then the guy transformed, broke out and raped a woman. However, most of that story wasn't even dramatized and depicted in the movie,.. it was just explaind in the dialogue. The movie begins with the rape and the remaining action all takes place years afterward.

  • @drshock111 I think they should've made two films,.. one about Billy Connors, Sarah ( the mistress ) and the Kerwin boys and the other about Michael ( the teenaged boy concieved from the rape ). It was almost as though THIS movie was a sequel to a previous one which was never made.

  • Watched today. This movie was terrible!!!

  • I've watched this movie more than once and I still don't get it-can someone explain the story to me?

  • I wonder if they will remake this movie in the near future. Hopefully some time this fall.

  • @Quoranation Let´s hope they not... this one is just perfect.

  • wat is this movie about?

  • Peter Cullen aka Optimus Prime doing the voice over :)

  • masterpiece

  • ok, looks... um... good?

  • great horror movie

  • Looks shit. Trailer's probably scarier than the movie!

  • I saw this in theaters when I was in the 8th grade and this entire movie is cheesy as hell..........but fun to watch!

  • Comment removed

  • EXCELLENT film. Early 80's horror was and will always be the best. Not like that CGI shit of today. REAL effects they did then.

  • The book was better than the movie...

  • it was really awkward when he transformed raped that chick

  • Ah I remember this...it DOES end terribly...he turns into a man-cicada and rapes the blonde chick.

  • sounds like optimus Prime!

  • does anyone know where i can buy this film?????

  • record it

  • The novel was pretty damn scary! Don't remember seeing this film.

  • is the end truly horrifying ???

  • Not really. The transformation sequence was messed up, though.

  • This movie scared the shit out of my uncle...and he was 18 at the time. XD

I can't blame him, though. The effects in this film were quite great for its time.

  • Twice the trailer warns of how horrifying the last 30 minutes are. Translation: The rest of the movie blows goats.

  • Huh???

  • Peter Cullen.... awesome... Movie ?? this movie was fucking lame.

  • This was made in my hometown. Very interesting process to watch. The kitchen scene was filmed at my principal's house and I could never shake that image after that.

  • l.q. jones was great. paul clemens was as well. it did a great job of capturing swampy southern atmosphere.

  • Sweeeet!

  • Interesting Trailer. Thank you.

  • amazing transformation scenes highlight this early 80's man in-to insect cannibal creature!

  • I have this on DVD,plus saw it in the movies as a kid!One of the better horror movies of its time!

  • Optimus Prime narrates the trailer!

    Awesome!

  • LOLLL!

  • @JML101582 HOLY F--K!

So Prime is pretty much his ordinary speaking voice, cause it sounds the same as in The Transformers.

PS. This movie is gross and slimy and YUCK!

  • I paid money to see this when it came out! The last 30 minutes were pretty awesome back then..but ya know what...? They're reamking horror films..this should have been a top one on the list. Especially with new technology now. Can't you see Shia LaBeouf as the main character?!?!?!

  • Very loosely based on a novel by Edward Levy.

  • This was one of the really scary 80's horror films. The special effects were amazing for the time (still pretty cool)Would love to see it again

  • this movie was filmed in my hometown

  • The voice of Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots.

  • Lol. Does sound like the voice of Peter Cullen. perhaps it is him.

  • Saw it when it was new. I was 9 and I still can´t go out in the woods at night without that creepy feeling of having some transformed freak on my tail. Traumatizing movie for any kid.

  • Shame on my parents for taking me to see this when I was only 9 or 10 years old. It was way scary and traumatizing for me! Even though I question their decision making...I loved all those 80s horror flicks!!

  • OMG...My dad took me to see this when I was ten years old. He considered it 'family guality time' to go to the movies every weekend (despite what was playing).

Now that I am older, all I can say is; "WTH was he thinking!". That was the last time I saw this movie!

I may complain about my dad's decision too, but I'd pick those old scaring films over what we see today. They had more suspense!

I think the scariest movie he took me to see was "Scanners"!

  • this wasthe shit.

  • Based on this trailer, I realize I do not need to what because this is obviously the greatest movie ever made.
