He its using a weapon style known as "rope dart" or "meteor hammer" in chinese its called shengbiao. Ive been doing it for 5 years. Its a great work out and it gives you am advatage of using any weighted end of any type of rope or in this case a fire hose. Jackie used type dart weapon style in shanghai noon. Only he used a horse sure tired to the end of a rope.
