Hi. I token Fireface 400. It had defects in audio. Changed to another FF400. The same shit. Defective. It has some strange noise on monitoring channel (only left btw) which does not depends to ANY gain regulations at ANY channel, even 7/8. BAD BAD

Apple definitely makes nice monitors, but as far as computers, they have the same quality + specs as a PC considering it is a PC with a different OS, except (like you said) they are way overpriced. Therefore, you are paying extra for the name and OS that I personally cannot stand. Actually, I would go as far as saying you have a better chance of getting "quality" with a PC, and more options. So technically, PC has better "(quality + specs)."

Should've got an Acer monitor, they make the best ones out there. Call Dell support and see what you can do about the monitor.

@theindianguy8 Acer does make good monitors, but Dell is known for their large high resolution displays. If the connection fit, I honestly think it would be amazing! We just ordered a new cable made by Dell, if that doesn't work we will definitely be giving Dell a call.

The firebox seems Legit , and also does the Sub woofer ( it's huge ) mine is prob half and its BASS is HUGE !!!! for the monitor ... lol you should return it and get a Apple .... I know , I know lol but just a monitor not the computer . I know it might be more expensive than the Dell one and also Apple monitors are used more for photography and video editing and so on , but you can have both amizing graphics for editind the youtube videos too and having a cool view of Cubase when recording ;)

@TheAngelEmpire I have problems with both Dell and Apple. More so with Apple than Dell. I do like Apples displays, but they are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. Especially if I wanted to get one that was on par with the Dell one I just bought quality wise. It's 30 inches and goes up to 2,560×1,600 resolution for $800. That's pretty ridiculous. Just checked out the Apple monitors with the same specs and they range from $1700 to $2200. No, just no. I'll take a simple DVI connection hacking over that any day.

I’m guessing you bought the FireFace because you wanted a better Audio Interface?

If so, I know you could have bought a Digidesign or M-Audio AI for a similar price and got Pro Tools. I know you use Cubase, so I guess I have TWO questions for you. 1) Did you not make the switch to Pro Tools out of preference for Cubase? (working under the assumption that you even thought about it) and 2) what made you want to get the FireFace among the other TONS of AI’s out there?

@Hispanazn I have tried Pro Tools, Logic, Sonar, Acid, Digital Performer, and Ableton Live, all of which I couldn't stand for many reasons. Well, Logic was actually pretty legit, but I still prefer Cubase. Pro-Tools is WAY OVERRATED! >.< I used to have an M-Audio Delta 1010 which sucked, and I have been using a firebox recently which sucked even worse. I wanted the Fireface simply because I wanted something that sounds better with higher quality preamps and A/D D/A converters.

Dell is the worst man. I had a video card die 3 times in one machine I bought less than a year ago. Each time they replaced it with another faulty one. Then finally my warranty ran out and I replaced it with a non shitty one =| FU DELL.

@danhall789 That would be a good solution considering HDMI 1.3 cables support 2,560×1,600 which is the resolution of the monitor but the monitor only supports Dual Link DVI, and I don't think my computer has an HDMI port anyway. =[
