@camprockrules12 Well.. just watch the copyright ull see its on the name of Bashta.. anyone saying diffrent is either lying or try to be one or just... not into the facts.. :-p bless
I will enjoy music in Heaven when men and women sing from love and express their love through song, purely. The money aspect of being a human being downgrades all purity not to mention the slippery slope of money bringing every single man down. Sing for free, stop pushing cd's on Itunes. We are not here to make you rich or famous. Do you understand that?
@utubin67 please find me one reference of scripture that says that humans will end up in heaven. God cares about redeeming life and the earth...even in the ultimate reality that will be present when Christ returns. Music is expensive to create...period. None of these guys are getting rich.
@dlyles21 So you're not a Christian. You haven't read the bible. You don't know about heaven? What more is there to say to you? There is no reason to say anything.
As for money it is of satan. Always was and will be. Praising Jesus should never be for money, ever!
@utubin67 I absolutely am a Christian. I have a B.A. and a M.Div. in Biblical Studies and Theology. I have read through the entire Bible multiple times, and have read through most of the N.T. in Greek, and no where does it ever speak of humans going to heaven. Instead heaven is portrayed as coming to us on earth. The mission to redeem creation is of vital importance to God in scripture. We are never called to seek escape from this world, but to take part in bringing God's kingdom on earth.
@dlyles21 Where is Jesus going? John 7:33 Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I go to the one who sent me. 34You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.”
@dlyles21 Where does the bible say the 'Saved' are going? John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
@utubin67 John 14:20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
Notice that "in me" and "in my Father" is not referring to a place. It is important to keep context. Also notice at the end of this passage Jesus states, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ Again, emphasis is on the kingdom/heaven coming to us.
@dlyles21 you are mistaken.. taking the Word out of context. 'who will realize that Jesus is in the Father and that we are in the two'? Answer: The Saved. "I am going away and I am coming back to you again" Answer- As the Holy Spirit. I thought you said you knew the Word?
@utubin67 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth...Jesus is ABSOLUTELY NOT talking about the Holy Spirit when he says I am coming back to you. I am not trying to upset you, just correct an incorrect theology that I feel is damaging the church. Read through the entire NT, and try not to look for your point of view and then tell me what seems to be the ultimate reality, heaven or resurrection.
@dlyles21 John 14:15-19 “If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will bec in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live
@dlyles21 People like to read scripture for the translation in their hands. They have no idea that the original work has a depth they they are missing. You have to study to know the Father's Word, not just just listen to your pastor once a week and ignore 3/4 of the Bible by only reading NT. The translations have masked and hidden many things that most Christians are too ignorant or afraid to look into. The Messiah's name was obviously not Jesus (-sus, pagan suffix for honoring Zeus).
@ElmerAwesome It's not about trying to be holier. It's about loving him above all else and striving to be as close to him. You don't call a friend by a name they would never use. Why would we be any different with him?
@RazeAndJadith Because in that case you couldn't even speak English with Him, since Jesus never spoke English. Jesus is God, identifies Himself with JHWH when in the garden of gethsemaneh in the gospel of John, so he clearly understands English, and he clearly understands the Name of Jesus.
@ElmerAwesome That's case and point right there. The original Greek and Hebrew texts never call him Jesus or the Father as God. They are only called YWHW and Yahshua. The fact that other translations use different names means we have changed what we call them. Anyone learning another language is taught names don't translate. A name is kept across all languages unless the people actually cannot pronounce it. Like an American trying to speak the name of a Thai person.
@ElmerAwesome We are capable of speaking the names properly. We don't because of our own traditions and inability to let them go. Its hard to be different from everyone else. Both God and Jesus are pagan names, "do not as the heathen do" from somewhere in Jeremiah. Why would we call them by the names that the enemy uses? Because the enemy wants the power, that's why.
@ElmerAwesome " Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. ~Jeremiah 6:16
@RazeAndJadith I think using Yeshua instead of Jesus is fine (unless your evangelising since you musn't make it the unbelievers any more complicated/sect-like then it already sounds in their ears) but I also believe it does not matter if you dó use Jesus. Just like dedicating a day Sun. instead of Sat., eating pure food or not or celebrating the right feasts on the right date. I know people who do this all, my bible tells me to let them be, but also assures I am not on the wrong path col 2:16-17
@RazeAndJadith God and Jesus aren't pagan names, unless you consider everything from your mouth pagan (since you don't speak Hebrew everyday). Man didn't 'invent' Jesus, it's just how it is pronounced and written in a different language.
So you also believe that when we cast out demons in the Name of Jesus (using Jesus not Yeshua) it has no power/= pagan? I must really disagree with you since I know there is power in His Name (and I've seen all of that), doesn't matter what language you use.
@RazeAndJadith First of all God is a title, just as we have God (JHWH) the atheists for example have other gods they worship knowingly or not. In our translation it is also portrayed as "Jehovah' 'JHWH' or 'LORD" (since the Jews never pronounced JHWH so we shouldn't eighter; following that logic).
In Hebrew my name is different then in Dutch. It's still the same name.
So names do change with the language. We pronounce and write Mao Zedong quite differently then the Chinese; still the same.
@ElmerAwesome i know of mexican people with the name Jesus pronounced Hay-zues. when they tell an english speaking person their name they don't change it to suit us. they simply say Hay-zues instead of Gee-zues. exodus 23:13
And in all things that I have said to you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of your mouth.
so using those gods name in prayer is OK ? let alone use the names as title's for the messiah? hint MessiYAH.
@RazeAndJadith I don't get your part about 'circumspect' I'm not native English so you can't expect me to get that. Something about me calling out other gods? Have I ever mentioned the name of 1 other god in this conversation? Then why do you feel the need to lecture me?
He can't pronounce his name differently (the mexican) that's why. The name is still the same. Please don't go into these sorts of debates.
@ElmerAwesome also I have a nephew who calls me Daddy cause he cant pronounce Uncle or my name. I still answer him and accommodate him regardless of his shortcomings. i doubt someone as compassionate as YHWH would ignore our cries because we are ignorant . but we have to be mindful to not be arrogant once we understand what the true names are. Not knowing is fine. Knowing and doing so regardless is dangerous from what i've read from the scriptures.
@ElmerAwesome Calling the messiah Jesus instead of his actual name is a modern trend. Do we believe what the messiah actually said or what the modern translations say? We are getting to the meat of the whole issue now. Do we believe original author's writings from scripture or do we believe the translations of scripture? Most translations contradict the originals .In that case, we are changing his WORD which is not allowed and possibly the most dangerous offense we can do.
@RazeAndJadith WHen spreading the gospel, the bible was translated everywhere, including Jesus' name, this was done to ease the convertion; which is offcource a good thing because the bible has this attitude aswell. So the English name is probably really old, older then the european trend to say "Yeshua". It means the same, it stands for the same, it worships the same. It does not matter therefor, one is just more 'correct' then the other.
@ElmerAwesome you might to a bit more research on this cause alot of that comment is just incorrect. the name jesus was used to allow all religions to come together as a one world religion of rome. they mixed all of the pagan holy days and names with the true scriptures. but did away with all of the real Assemblies "holydays". there is not one holiday that modern christianity keeps religiously that is true to scripture. See Two Babylons by Alexander hislop it explains the pagan origination well.
@RazeAndJadith It's true that alot of pagan traditions were mixed in Christianity, but modern day Christians do not reckognize the pagan festivals in it; so we do not worship the pagan deities and there is no blaim. I know about the festivals and all that; but as long as a Christian does not worship false gods in it you cánnot call him a idolater!!
Also we don't need to keep the Jewish holidays as the bible says in col 2:16-17 (gave that one before).
@ElmerAwesome They cant meant the same or stand for the same. we are trying to make it mean the same.Yahshua gives praise to YAH. Jesus names a greek god of gods - sus ZUES. it is completely different. The messiah is truth and we know what he said is truth, but we are spreading lies by ignoring what he actually said and what the original authors wrote down. why cant we retranslate the scriptures to suit what ever belief we want. how about doing away with prayer? just omit the scriptures.
@RazeAndJadith They are the same. I also have a Hebrew name (if I would translate it; to say, I'm not partially Hebrew or something). Sounds and is spelled quite differently but means the same. So they do mean the same.
If you say not, then you tell me now that millions of sick have been healed, demons cast out and convertions made in a fake name? Do you realise what that means? I've seen healings and exorcisms (not much of the last) in Jesus name. The people were free! And healthy! Fake? No
@ElmerAwesome the ordinances quoted in col 2:16-17 are the laws that the jews added to scripture. see Col 2:4-8. why would YHWH do away with the torah? he told us it will never fade away. and the messiah reassured us that he comes not to change the Torah but to fulfill (complete) it. and I asked the same question you just asked about healing in jesus. the answer is - YAH loves us so much he will overlook ignorance and read our hearts. but that doesn't apply to arrogance.
@RazeAndJadith In that text it preaches against people that believe having certain rites (holidays, not eating/do eating) will make them 'better' just as you think using 'Yeshua' instead of 'Jesus' makes you better. Because it's not about that. I've sought up a site for you; do with it what you want, it actually contained your arguments:
evangelicaloutreach dot o rg /yeshua . h tm (put it together because of youtbue)
@ElmerAwesome also use YAH in the name and not JEH. Jeh means mischief. yaiy.org/literature/IsHisName.html
how many times in the bible does it speak of the power in his name and what to call on? if we know the truth and decide to ignore it for the sake of convenience its dangerous. how can we be his "overcoming people" if we never over come. the word HOLY is QODESH which means set-apart. conforming to the majority is the opposite of scripture. its hard because its supposed to be
@RazeAndJadith The bible does speak to use the name of Jesus when casting out demons.
Your now giving an entire speach about holiness and stuff like that. With all do respect but you just want to tell me what you think is true and you think I'm deceived. I resent your attitude and your needingness to correct me since you don't know me at all. Living the Christian live is not about having the right names, festivals or rules and you do know that.
@ElmerAwesome this conversation started cause i was speaking to another person and you felt the need to correct me. not the other way around." The bible does speak to use the name of Jesus when casting out demons." you realize thats a translation. If you get a strongs concordance with a hebrew and aramaic dictionary in it you will find that the name Jesus is not in the hebrew, the original name was YAHSHUA . so you can verify that the name was not JESUS that is a mis-translation .
@RazeAndJadith The NTw asn't translated from Hebrew or Aramaic, but from Greek. So that argument doesn't stand. Read the source please since it replies to all your arguments which I find quite special.
And it's true that I started it; because you were lecturing somebody of weak faith that he should use Yeshua. That's not the point. Tell him about repentance, the gifts of the spirit, forgiveness or prayer to teach him; not about the usage of different names or anything..
@RazeAndJadith So to make it clear; the NT was written in Greek and translated directly into English. The Hebrew writers of the NT used the name 'Iesous' (=Jesus, once translated, into English) not 'Yeshuah'. If God wanted it to be Yeshuah he would have told the writers of the NT so.
Not saying you shouldn't use Yeshuah, as long as we're talking about the same Person. But I am saying that the Name of Jesus is infact biblical correct and not pagan.
@ElmerAwesome Yhwh's scripture never said this was easy. in fact it says the vast majority will succumb to the Deceiver. Truth is doing what he says regardless of how hard. We twist his words to fit our lifestyle. if he said do something then do it.you think Abraham wanted to sacrifice his son? no but the father told him to. we have easy laws to follow compared to many of the people in the scriptures.
@ElmerAwesome and regardless of all of that. you cannot translate the messiah's original spoken name into jesus . its impossible. Yahshua if translated to anything would be Joshua and that's incorrect since it lost the name of the creator YAH. the messiah said I BEAR MY FATHERS NAME. end of story . without YAH you have deception. We have to come to his kingdom like children. so read his scripture's as untainted as possible and like a children that knows nothing. Originals are best.
@RazeAndJadith Does the scripture say you need to call Him Yeshuah? Or that it is necesary to speak the Father's Name? Just because the scripture says 'I bear the Fathers name' it does not oblige us to do anything! And you know that, your now manipulating me with fine bible texts, using the bible is great and all but this doesn't fit the argument at all.
@RazeAndJadith And if I sound rude to you, then I am sorry. I have had a debate with Christians who were telling me to keep sabbath and all that, basing everything on the bible perfectly, only to find out they did not speak in tongues, cast out demons, heal the sick or do anything of the things Jesus said His followers would do in Marc 12. These people are great with the texts and the set of rules they think are necesary but have the wrong focus.
@ElmerAwesome on the original name of the messiah go to yaiy.org/literature/DiscoveringYahshua.html it will show the link to the original name. now on the casting out demons in his name -
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
@RazeAndJadith The original name in Greek (the original language in which the NT is written) is Isous, translated Jesus, so there is no need to use Yeshua.
And indeed, casting out demons won't give you a ticket to heaven, justice will (and that can only be gained trough His mercy and living by His Word) but the fact in Marc 12 is; that casting out demons is still one of the signs on which you can reckognize Jesus' followers! "My followers shall be known by these signs..." look it up if you want.
@ElmerAwesome To me it sounds odd for a hebrew man to be named after zues let alone the messiah. i doubt a single jew would have listened to a word he said if all he spoke was greek and had a greek name giving credit to their diety. look at the hebrew men that the messiah knew - most all of them had YAH in their name after their elohim.
Matthew (MattiYAHu) John ( YAHconana) also hebrew names are prophetic the meanings always matter. so why JE- (Hail or horse) SUS (Zues)
@RazeAndJadith He isn't named after zeus and you know that. Stop proclaiming that because it's nothing but a lie. Your site says the original name is Hebrew'; that's not true eighter since it is clearly Greek, but can have a Hebrew pronuncuation, just like the messianic Jews nowadays speak His Name. They link I gave you also clarifies this, have you read that or should I give it you again?
@ElmerAwesome also the Egyptians had IHS on their wafer ritual for feasting on the gods flesh. IHS - Isis , Horus, seb. which is where we actually get the name IHSOUS. the " H" was translated to "E" for proper phonetics. Two babylon's by alexander hislop is the best source for the old religions mixing into christianity.
@Raze Your connecting the Egyptians to Jesus, this is rather dark since this is what alot of blinded atheists do aswell, and it's a thing from the darkness. They think the salvation story was already found in ancient Egyptian myths and thus Christ' victory plan wasn't new and alive; rather a copy on an old pagan story. Offcource these are nothing but lies from Satan.
The Hebrew writers of the NT, like Paul, used the Name Isous (since the NT is Greek and Isous is what it says). He Egyptian?
@ElmerAwesome You don't sound rude and i thoroughly enjoyed this talk ( and sorry if i sounded rude too). I completely understand what you are saying and i used to believe the same way until i decided to disprove this stuff. i bought all the sources and studied the original hebrew as much as i could. i found out that everything in the new testament is just a reiteration of the torah. and everything the messiah did was use the torah as his complete foundation.
@RazeAndJadith I've also found that Jesus had it's foundations in the scriptures, unfortunatly the people didn't know the scriptures well enough and saw in Him a blashpemer. God bless (or G-d if you prefer to spell it like that, since that is what the 'Yeshua people' often do haha just messing with you :P)
@utubin67 Also, we are called to give to all members in the community of Christ as they have need. If I can get some music out of that...fantastic. I have met several CCM artists, and only a few if any ever came across as anything but genuine about spreading the good news of God's redemption through Jesus Christ.
I just hope no one is commercializing Jesus and making a living on it as though it's a business. If that's true then what is the difference of the heart from this and from something Jay-Z does? If it's about money, it's American. If it's American, The Father is not in it.
@utubin67 but what we as humans need to realize is this: 1 it's where the Lord has called them to be, and 2. Just as we need to make an income to live and support our own families, they too need money to support themselves and their families. The Lord has provided an amazing job not only to provide income for them, but to also worship Him and share that worship with others. Its a beautiful thing!
@LindseyHeck Jesus said Ceasar's money belongs to Ceasar- Jesus also threw over the tables in the temple when people were trying to make money on things Sacred. So, I would be sure not to cross over a line of becoming wealthy in Jesus' name- We do not know the scripture of a rich man trying to get into heaven. I think Jesus Culture is a blessed band. Now they seem to be heading towards the money machine- charging money for every single thing they do.
I went to Jesus Culture's website and there were sermons from their gatherings and yes they were charging for that download too? Did Jesus ever say to charge people for His Word? I think any true Christian can easily see what is happening to the Christian musicians- they are being slowly but surely lured into the world, away from the Word. What will happen when these people get rich? The 'World' will open up to them. They are young they want money.
How can I get his other songs!?! He has a lot of other songs recorded but, I can only play them on Myspace and find them to buy! I love his music please help me out!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I hate how David Crowder ruins the most beautiful and epic songs ever for me...like How He loves us and this song Like a lion!! David Crowder please stop ruining epic songs!
@5h3o I don't think he ruined them one bit! besides, like a lion maybe bashta's song but CROWDER is the one who first debuted it! bashta's version was released AFTER this so how could he have ruined it in the first place?
Am I supposed to be impressed with people having a belief for which there is no proof or evidence and then say that this makes them a better person than someone like me who is a rationalist and awaits evidence before committing to a beleif? I can do all the good things that a religious person does WITHOUT beleiving in god but none of the atrocities people do in the name of their god. Science is THE best route to truth. Not myths from people who thought the sun rotated around the earth.
@caddy38 "Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe." (1 corinthiens 1:20-21)
@yearofgrace2010 Using bible quotes to convert an atheist? You need a new strategy. Also, the wisdom of man has gotten computers, satellites, a trip to the moon, modern medicine, weather predictions...what has the wisdom of any supernatural deity got us? myths and legends from all I see.
@caddy38 You are correct in stating that science is a very good route truth. Let me throw some scientific truth to you. If the ratio between the nuclear weak force and gravity were to change more than one part in ten-100 (that is 1x 10-100) there is a very real possibility that our universe would collapse or explode. also, if the nuclear strong force was 1% weaker or stronger carbon would not have formed in the solar ovens. As i said before that science is a good route to truth. That Truthis God
@spammanxc17 (*sigh*) I'm sorry but these probabilities prove nothing. Do you think cosmologist don't know this? Yet there are still so many non-believers among them? If these constants were differant then either we wouldn't be here or yes, the universe would be very different. The fine-tuning argument has been debunked over and over again but christians hold on to it because they feel it is there only shot.
@caddy38 You are correct in stating that science is a very good route truth. Let me throw some scientific truth to you. If the ratio between the nuclear weak force and gravity were to change more than one part in ten-100 that is 1x 10-100 there is a very real possibility that our universe would collapse or explode. also, if the nuclear strong force was 1% weaker or stronger carbon would not have formed in the solar ovens. As i said before that science is a good route to truth. That Truthis God
@caddy38 I would never say that I was better than you. Never. That's simply because I know it isn't true at all! We are the same. Now don't take offense at what I am about to say, I am just as unworthy and undeserving as you. I own the fact that I am not good enough for God. No one is. But Jesus makes us worthy. He bridges that gap from rationalism to what we can't possibly wrap our brains around. Took me 20 years of church to figure that one. Give it a chance, friend! That's all I can ask.
@mresplumier I gave it a chance the first 20 years of my life. So we have written accounts from a long time ago of a man performing miracles and saying he was the son of god. So what? There are plenty of other myths out there. Why beleive this one just because it is so popular?
@caddy38 I respect you. I do. You have thought out your questions, I can see that. Many don't! Haha.
Let me just say, it isn't simply about the book, it's about Jesus. I didn't think he was real for a long time...now I do. You know how? Because he lives in me. Call me crazy! Haha. But I know he's real, and I know he lives. This is tough stuff though, Caddy. It took me a long time to get to where I am and I still have so far to go. It's an everyday journey, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
@caddy38 Had to call you 'Caddy' because I don't know your name! Haha. Keep asking me questions if you'd like, and tell me if I am not adequately answering them! I love good conversation, and I don't plan on dropping this one if you don't!
@mresplumier I am having trouble seeing how you claim to know he exists because he lives in you. I would think you would have to presuppose his existence before making that claim in the first place. Humans are fallible and our senses and brain easily deceived, so do you think you could be incorrect about the notion of a god living in you? How do you know it is Jesus and not some other god? Could it all possibly wishful thinking?
@caddy38 you are correct, my presupposition of an existent creator God (the God of the Bible) did enter into my statement, and yes I am a believer in God (if you hadn't guessed! Haha). Could I be incorrect? Sure, but so could you. But what I know to be true from a source that I believe to be above any and all reproach is that God is real and he resides in me. I know that it is Jesus because I did not welcome him into my life until I was sure. It's tough to really describe...(continued)
@caddy38 as for the wishful thinking, I would almost say that it is more wishful to think that you can simply live your life in whatever way you choose (good or bad) without any consequence. Good or bad, people are sinful, you cannot deny that claim. I understand that you don't believe this but bear with me! God cleans up that mess and helps us live our lives the way that he intended. He created us to be perfect, we mess that up and so we cannot get anywhere close to being who we were created...
@caddy38 to be without his help, his aid, his grace through Jesus. Is it wishful to bring upon yourself the difficult life of being a Christ follower in this world? It is so stinkin' easy to just go with the flow and fall into a simple hedonistic lifestyle. Pleasure seekers are a dime-a-dozen. Christ followers, genuine people of faith are much more rare. I don't even consider myself to be counted among them much of the time. Could I be wrong? I suppose you could think that. But I know I am not..
@caddy38 There comes a point where rational thought must back down a bit to allow faith in. Faith is not something that necessarily acts on logic, but instead on the things that you know without a doubt are true that you cannot always logically prove. Following Christ is a simple matter of faith. It's simple...but not easy. It is doggone hard, but I know it's worth it.
@mresplumier I admit I could be wrong. I too think you can't live your life without consequence, work towads juctice here on earth. I don't see why the universe owes us a justice system in the afterlife. I am cerainly not a pleasure seeker and neither are most of the free-thinkers I associate with. Most of us are scientists or engineers and we want to work hard and progress mankind. I cannot put faith above rationality, i must have solid evidence before I commit myself to any particular beleif.
@mresplumier You suppose you could be wrong...but then say you know you are not? How can you justify such absolute certainty? "ignorance begets confidence rather than knowledge"-Darwin. For both you and I, the truth matters. So far, only science has a proven track record of determining fact from fantasy. Religion has...made its errors...crusades, inquisitions, heretics, witch killing, anti-semitism,etc etc. If people relied on rational and not faith, many of these things would not have happened.
@caddy38 there is only so much I can say in this venue, but it is apparent to me that I cannot change your mind, nor is it my job or intention to. Just wanted to show you a little more of my side of things is all. I am not defeated, because I know the truth. I am head over heels in love with my Creator, and no measure of scientific fact can change my mind nor measure my faith. Thank you for the conversation, my friend. Maybe we'll talk again.
@mresplumier Well, my mind can be changed, any evidence for god or jesus i would evaluate and see if there is any substance behind it, i would happily be a beleiver. Saying your mind can never be changed seems...stubborn and a bit silly. If it can be shown that all the arguments for gods existence are refuted, why not stop beleiving it? It doesn't change your life that much, I beleived for 20 years before becoming atheist. I actually feel my life has gotten better in relationships and work etc
@mhudson205 Well, he is dead but while he was living he may certainly have said such a thing. I'm reading an ineresting book titled, "How Jesus Became Christian". It talks about the differences between the Jesus Movement based on the historical Jesus lead by James and the Christ movement based on Paul's version of Jesus and lead by Paul. It is a good book for seperating fact from fiction. I highly recomend it.

Do you understand that?
utubin67 4 months ago
@utubin67 please find me one reference of scripture that says that humans will end up in heaven. God cares about redeeming life and the earth...even in the ultimate reality that will be present when Christ returns. Music is expensive to create...period. None of these guys are getting rich.
dlyles21 4 months ago
@dlyles21 So you're not a Christian. You haven't read the bible. You don't know about heaven? What more is there to say to you? There is no reason to say anything.
As for money it is of satan. Always was and will be. Praising Jesus should never be for money, ever!
utubin67 4 months ago
@utubin67 I absolutely am a Christian. I have a B.A. and a M.Div. in Biblical Studies and Theology. I have read through the entire Bible multiple times, and have read through most of the N.T. in Greek, and no where does it ever speak of humans going to heaven. Instead heaven is portrayed as coming to us on earth. The mission to redeem creation is of vital importance to God in scripture. We are never called to seek escape from this world, but to take part in bringing God's kingdom on earth.
dlyles21 4 months ago
@dlyles21 Where is Jesus going? John 7:33 Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I go to the one who sent me. 34You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.”
utubin67 4 months ago
@utubin67 I never said there wasn't a heaven, just that there is no scripture stating humans are going there
dlyles21 4 months ago
@dlyles21 Where does the bible say the 'Saved' are going? John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
utubin67 4 months ago
@utubin67 John 14:20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
Notice that "in me" and "in my Father" is not referring to a place. It is important to keep context. Also notice at the end of this passage Jesus states, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ Again, emphasis is on the kingdom/heaven coming to us.
dlyles21 4 months ago
@dlyles21 you are mistaken.. taking the Word out of context. 'who will realize that Jesus is in the Father and that we are in the two'? Answer: The Saved. "I am going away and I am coming back to you again" Answer- As the Holy Spirit. I thought you said you knew the Word?
utubin67 3 months ago
@utubin67 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth...Jesus is ABSOLUTELY NOT talking about the Holy Spirit when he says I am coming back to you. I am not trying to upset you, just correct an incorrect theology that I feel is damaging the church. Read through the entire NT, and try not to look for your point of view and then tell me what seems to be the ultimate reality, heaven or resurrection.
dlyles21 3 months ago
@dlyles21 John 14:15-19 “If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will bec in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.

@RazeAndJadith Calling Him Yeshua instead of Jesus won't make you any holier mate.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome It's not about trying to be holier. It's about loving him above all else and striving to be as close to him. You don't call a friend by a name they would never use. Why would we be any different with him?
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith Because in that case you couldn't even speak English with Him, since Jesus never spoke English. Jesus is God, identifies Himself with JHWH when in the garden of gethsemaneh in the gospel of John, so he clearly understands English, and he clearly understands the Name of Jesus.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome That's case and point right there. The original Greek and Hebrew texts never call him Jesus or the Father as God. They are only called YWHW and Yahshua. The fact that other translations use different names means we have changed what we call them. Anyone learning another language is taught names don't translate. A name is kept across all languages unless the people actually cannot pronounce it. Like an American trying to speak the name of a Thai person.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome We are capable of speaking the names properly. We don't because of our own traditions and inability to let them go. Its hard to be different from everyone else. Both God and Jesus are pagan names, "do not as the heathen do" from somewhere in Jeremiah. Why would we call them by the names that the enemy uses? Because the enemy wants the power, that's why.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome " Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. ~Jeremiah 6:16
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith I think using Yeshua instead of Jesus is fine (unless your evangelising since you musn't make it the unbelievers any more complicated/sect-like then it already sounds in their ears) but I also believe it does not matter if you dó use Jesus. Just like dedicating a day Sun. instead of Sat., eating pure food or not or celebrating the right feasts on the right date. I know people who do this all, my bible tells me to let them be, but also assures I am not on the wrong path col 2:16-17
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith God and Jesus aren't pagan names, unless you consider everything from your mouth pagan (since you don't speak Hebrew everyday). Man didn't 'invent' Jesus, it's just how it is pronounced and written in a different language.
So you also believe that when we cast out demons in the Name of Jesus (using Jesus not Yeshua) it has no power/= pagan? I must really disagree with you since I know there is power in His Name (and I've seen all of that), doesn't matter what language you use.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith First of all God is a title, just as we have God (JHWH) the atheists for example have other gods they worship knowingly or not. In our translation it is also portrayed as "Jehovah' 'JHWH' or 'LORD" (since the Jews never pronounced JHWH so we shouldn't eighter; following that logic).
In Hebrew my name is different then in Dutch. It's still the same name.
So names do change with the language. We pronounce and write Mao Zedong quite differently then the Chinese; still the same.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome i know of mexican people with the name Jesus pronounced Hay-zues. when they tell an english speaking person their name they don't change it to suit us. they simply say Hay-zues instead of Gee-zues. exodus 23:13
And in all things that I have said to you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of your mouth.
so using those gods name in prayer is OK ? let alone use the names as title's for the messiah? hint MessiYAH.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith I don't get your part about 'circumspect' I'm not native English so you can't expect me to get that. Something about me calling out other gods? Have I ever mentioned the name of 1 other god in this conversation? Then why do you feel the need to lecture me?
He can't pronounce his name differently (the mexican) that's why. The name is still the same. Please don't go into these sorts of debates.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome also I have a nephew who calls me Daddy cause he cant pronounce Uncle or my name. I still answer him and accommodate him regardless of his shortcomings. i doubt someone as compassionate as YHWH would ignore our cries because we are ignorant . but we have to be mindful to not be arrogant once we understand what the true names are. Not knowing is fine. Knowing and doing so regardless is dangerous from what i've read from the scriptures.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith The scriptures never tell me to call Jesus "Yeshua". This is nothing but a modern trend.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome Calling the messiah Jesus instead of his actual name is a modern trend. Do we believe what the messiah actually said or what the modern translations say? We are getting to the meat of the whole issue now. Do we believe original author's writings from scripture or do we believe the translations of scripture? Most translations contradict the originals .In that case, we are changing his WORD which is not allowed and possibly the most dangerous offense we can do.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith WHen spreading the gospel, the bible was translated everywhere, including Jesus' name, this was done to ease the convertion; which is offcource a good thing because the bible has this attitude aswell. So the English name is probably really old, older then the european trend to say "Yeshua". It means the same, it stands for the same, it worships the same. It does not matter therefor, one is just more 'correct' then the other.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome you might to a bit more research on this cause alot of that comment is just incorrect. the name jesus was used to allow all religions to come together as a one world religion of rome. they mixed all of the pagan holy days and names with the true scriptures. but did away with all of the real Assemblies "holydays". there is not one holiday that modern christianity keeps religiously that is true to scripture. See Two Babylons by Alexander hislop it explains the pagan origination well.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith It's true that alot of pagan traditions were mixed in Christianity, but modern day Christians do not reckognize the pagan festivals in it; so we do not worship the pagan deities and there is no blaim. I know about the festivals and all that; but as long as a Christian does not worship false gods in it you cánnot call him a idolater!!
Also we don't need to keep the Jewish holidays as the bible says in col 2:16-17 (gave that one before).
Jesus is a translation and not pagan.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome They cant meant the same or stand for the same. we are trying to make it mean the same.Yahshua gives praise to YAH. Jesus names a greek god of gods - sus ZUES. it is completely different. The messiah is truth and we know what he said is truth, but we are spreading lies by ignoring what he actually said and what the original authors wrote down. why cant we retranslate the scriptures to suit what ever belief we want. how about doing away with prayer? just omit the scriptures.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith They are the same. I also have a Hebrew name (if I would translate it; to say, I'm not partially Hebrew or something). Sounds and is spelled quite differently but means the same. So they do mean the same.
If you say not, then you tell me now that millions of sick have been healed, demons cast out and convertions made in a fake name? Do you realise what that means? I've seen healings and exorcisms (not much of the last) in Jesus name. The people were free! And healthy! Fake? No
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome the ordinances quoted in col 2:16-17 are the laws that the jews added to scripture. see Col 2:4-8. why would YHWH do away with the torah? he told us it will never fade away. and the messiah reassured us that he comes not to change the Torah but to fulfill (complete) it. and I asked the same question you just asked about healing in jesus. the answer is - YAH loves us so much he will overlook ignorance and read our hearts. but that doesn't apply to arrogance.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith In that text it preaches against people that believe having certain rites (holidays, not eating/do eating) will make them 'better' just as you think using 'Yeshua' instead of 'Jesus' makes you better. Because it's not about that. I've sought up a site for you; do with it what you want, it actually contained your arguments:
evangelicaloutreach dot o rg /yeshua . h tm (put it together because of youtbue)
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome also use YAH in the name and not JEH. Jeh means mischief. yaiy.org/literature/IsHisName.html
how many times in the bible does it speak of the power in his name and what to call on? if we know the truth and decide to ignore it for the sake of convenience its dangerous. how can we be his "overcoming people" if we never over come. the word HOLY is QODESH which means set-apart. conforming to the majority is the opposite of scripture. its hard because its supposed to be
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith The bible does speak to use the name of Jesus when casting out demons.
Your now giving an entire speach about holiness and stuff like that. With all do respect but you just want to tell me what you think is true and you think I'm deceived. I resent your attitude and your needingness to correct me since you don't know me at all. Living the Christian live is not about having the right names, festivals or rules and you do know that.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome this conversation started cause i was speaking to another person and you felt the need to correct me. not the other way around." The bible does speak to use the name of Jesus when casting out demons." you realize thats a translation. If you get a strongs concordance with a hebrew and aramaic dictionary in it you will find that the name Jesus is not in the hebrew, the original name was YAHSHUA . so you can verify that the name was not JESUS that is a mis-translation .
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith The NTw asn't translated from Hebrew or Aramaic, but from Greek. So that argument doesn't stand. Read the source please since it replies to all your arguments which I find quite special.
And it's true that I started it; because you were lecturing somebody of weak faith that he should use Yeshua. That's not the point. Tell him about repentance, the gifts of the spirit, forgiveness or prayer to teach him; not about the usage of different names or anything..
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith So to make it clear; the NT was written in Greek and translated directly into English. The Hebrew writers of the NT used the name 'Iesous' (=Jesus, once translated, into English) not 'Yeshuah'. If God wanted it to be Yeshuah he would have told the writers of the NT so.
Not saying you shouldn't use Yeshuah, as long as we're talking about the same Person. But I am saying that the Name of Jesus is infact biblical correct and not pagan.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome Yhwh's scripture never said this was easy. in fact it says the vast majority will succumb to the Deceiver. Truth is doing what he says regardless of how hard. We twist his words to fit our lifestyle. if he said do something then do it.you think Abraham wanted to sacrifice his son? no but the father told him to. we have easy laws to follow compared to many of the people in the scriptures.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome and regardless of all of that. you cannot translate the messiah's original spoken name into jesus . its impossible. Yahshua if translated to anything would be Joshua and that's incorrect since it lost the name of the creator YAH. the messiah said I BEAR MY FATHERS NAME. end of story . without YAH you have deception. We have to come to his kingdom like children. so read his scripture's as untainted as possible and like a children that knows nothing. Originals are best.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith Does the scripture say you need to call Him Yeshuah? Or that it is necesary to speak the Father's Name? Just because the scripture says 'I bear the Fathers name' it does not oblige us to do anything! And you know that, your now manipulating me with fine bible texts, using the bible is great and all but this doesn't fit the argument at all.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith And if I sound rude to you, then I am sorry. I have had a debate with Christians who were telling me to keep sabbath and all that, basing everything on the bible perfectly, only to find out they did not speak in tongues, cast out demons, heal the sick or do anything of the things Jesus said His followers would do in Marc 12. These people are great with the texts and the set of rules they think are necesary but have the wrong focus.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome on the original name of the messiah go to yaiy.org/literature/DiscoveringYahshua.html it will show the link to the original name. now on the casting out demons in his name -
Matthew 7:22-23
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith The original name in Greek (the original language in which the NT is written) is Isous, translated Jesus, so there is no need to use Yeshua.
And indeed, casting out demons won't give you a ticket to heaven, justice will (and that can only be gained trough His mercy and living by His Word) but the fact in Marc 12 is; that casting out demons is still one of the signs on which you can reckognize Jesus' followers! "My followers shall be known by these signs..." look it up if you want.
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome so don't think cause you see great works it means they are correct. Elohim's laws matter the most.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome To me it sounds odd for a hebrew man to be named after zues let alone the messiah. i doubt a single jew would have listened to a word he said if all he spoke was greek and had a greek name giving credit to their diety. look at the hebrew men that the messiah knew - most all of them had YAH in their name after their elohim.
Matthew (MattiYAHu) John ( YAHconana) also hebrew names are prophetic the meanings always matter. so why JE- (Hail or horse) SUS (Zues)
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@RazeAndJadith He isn't named after zeus and you know that. Stop proclaiming that because it's nothing but a lie. Your site says the original name is Hebrew'; that's not true eighter since it is clearly Greek, but can have a Hebrew pronuncuation, just like the messianic Jews nowadays speak His Name. They link I gave you also clarifies this, have you read that or should I give it you again?
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome also the Egyptians had IHS on their wafer ritual for feasting on the gods flesh. IHS - Isis , Horus, seb. which is where we actually get the name IHSOUS. the " H" was translated to "E" for proper phonetics. Two babylon's by alexander hislop is the best source for the old religions mixing into christianity.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago
@Raze Your connecting the Egyptians to Jesus, this is rather dark since this is what alot of blinded atheists do aswell, and it's a thing from the darkness. They think the salvation story was already found in ancient Egyptian myths and thus Christ' victory plan wasn't new and alive; rather a copy on an old pagan story. Offcource these are nothing but lies from Satan.
The Hebrew writers of the NT, like Paul, used the Name Isous (since the NT is Greek and Isous is what it says). He Egyptian?
ElmerAwesome 1 month ago
@ElmerAwesome You don't sound rude and i thoroughly enjoyed this talk ( and sorry if i sounded rude too). I completely understand what you are saying and i used to believe the same way until i decided to disprove this stuff. i bought all the sources and studied the original hebrew as much as i could. i found out that everything in the new testament is just a reiteration of the torah. and everything the messiah did was use the torah as his complete foundation.
RazeAndJadith 1 month ago

If it's American, The Father is not in it.
utubin67 4 months ago
@utubin67 but what we as humans need to realize is this: 1 it's where the Lord has called them to be, and 2. Just as we need to make an income to live and support our own families, they too need money to support themselves and their families. The Lord has provided an amazing job not only to provide income for them, but to also worship Him and share that worship with others. Its a beautiful thing!
LindseyHeck 4 months ago
@LindseyHeck Jesus said Ceasar's money belongs to Ceasar- Jesus also threw over the tables in the temple when people were trying to make money on things Sacred. So, I would be sure not to cross over a line of becoming wealthy in Jesus' name- We do not know the scripture of a rich man trying to get into heaven. I think Jesus Culture is a blessed band. Now they seem to be heading towards the money machine- charging money for every single thing they do.
utubin67 4 months ago
I went to Jesus Culture's website and there were sermons from their gatherings and yes they were charging for that download too? Did Jesus ever say to charge people for His Word? I think any true Christian can easily see what is happening to the Christian musicians- they are being slowly but surely lured into the world, away from the Word. What will happen when these people get rich? The 'World' will open up to them. They are young they want money.

That's all I can ask.
mresplumier 11 months ago
@mresplumier I gave it a chance the first 20 years of my life. So we have written accounts from a long time ago of a man performing miracles and saying he was the son of god. So what? There are plenty of other myths out there. Why beleive this one just because it is so popular?
caddy38 11 months ago
@caddy38 I respect you. I do. You have thought out your questions, I can see that. Many don't! Haha.
Let me just say, it isn't simply about the book, it's about Jesus. I didn't think he was real for a long time...now I do. You know how? Because he lives in me. Call me crazy! Haha. But I know he's real, and I know he lives. This is tough stuff though, Caddy. It took me a long time to get to where I am and I still have so far to go. It's an everyday journey, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
mresplumier 11 months ago
@caddy38 Had to call you 'Caddy' because I don't know your name! Haha. Keep asking me questions if you'd like, and tell me if I am not adequately answering them! I love good conversation, and I don't plan on dropping this one if you don't!
mresplumier 11 months ago

@caddy38 ...... Jesus Still Loves Atheists :)

Much As I like your music, and your message, you have to remember to use microphones, as trying to bawl above the sound of guitars, plugged in or not, equals just a noise with no message!
