my interpretation is that the song is about drugs for sure probly heroin..first verse is about trying to stay sober, the second verse is about his temptation, the third verse is about giving into his temptation and taking the heroin, i think the slow cheetah is resembling the heroin and how its a slow cheetah meaning it might not kill you the first time but one time its going to get you but the thrill is euphoric, the third verse is talking about how the media and society sucks and trys to tell

lol i have a playlist on my ipod of over 60 chili pepper songs. when i add all the songs plays up its over 1600 with 'scar tissue' leading with 122 plays. everyday after 1st period in school i put my chili pepper playlist on and listen to them the whole day. when i get home i play chili pepper songs on guitar and then i usally fall asleep to one of their calm songs preferably "soul to squeeze", or "hey" or slow cheetah lol. i love the chili peppers
