  • this is sweet! great job. &nice groove

  • these chords really sound like Sting - Shape of My Heart ;)

  • uh... he makes it easy

  • wonderful playing, but you could explain the arpeggios a little slower, it's kind of hard to understand seeing you playing so fast..... anyway, good job!

  • if only i can play half of wat u play. =`(

  • I cant believe all the stuff i learned in this video :)

  • Pretty Cool lesson here, Covers the topic quite well. Ive just made a course that you might be interested in. Check it out! would love to know what you think

    RexPearson. com

  • GReat Guitar

  • I love the way he outlines melodically without making it obvious that he's defining the chords.

  • SID nicee

  • The progression reminds me of the song from Sting - "Fragile". Awesome playing

  • 4:42 shouldn't it be form 5 into 4 instead of 4 into 5?

  • @rockdfunk what time stamp? It's very possible that I reversed it. I was improvising and trying to name what I was playing while I played it, so there's a decent chance I botched one. Let me know where and I will clarity/correct it for you.

  • Godin guitars have a beautiful sound.

  • What kind of guitar is that!? The tone is real nice.

  • @iloverumi Godin Multiac Jazz

  • "fairly simple" fuuuuck.

  • which scales does he use besides penatonics

  • @23kcin F minor (natural) over 99% of it. On a few of the C chords, I throw the E natural in, which makes it a F minor (harmonic) scale, but it's really just straight F minor.

  • @23kcin look at the minor modes in all positions

  • very smooth and nice 2 thumbs up

  • Thanks Marc it works!!

Thanks for your patience, thanks for your attention, I understand you maybe on tour somewhere in Asia and yet you took the time to respond to my comment posting!

I appreciate that and I appreciate The complete Efficient Guitarist Program !!

  • @DanaPoint500 No problem. As an FYI for anybody who cares, As stated in the course readme, the PDF needs to be driven from Adobe Acrobat Reader. You were opening it up in Mac OS X Preview which wasn't opening the videos. It works perfectly when driven from Adobe.

  • Marc I bought your Efficient Guitarist program and its very discocerting to see how well intentioned that specific person - Nancy - in the customer service dept. tries to help out figure out to match your lessons with the pages on your pdf manual and it's just not working! we keep going back and forth, I say disconcerting because I feel I have found a great program from a great instructor but The manual is more difficult to follow than trying to learn play jazz on my guitar . . . !?

  • @DanaPoint500 I'm sorry you're having trouble. Here's how the course was designed to work: You need to read the PDF. On each page, there's a link to a video or an audio track. As long as you follow the PDF, everything lines up perfectly. I never intended it to be a video-only course because I wrote the book first and that's the focus. The videos are just examples and reinforcements for the text. If you follow the PDF, you'll always be in sync with me. Email me at my site if you have questions.

  • @xsolarwindx it's a Godin Multiac Jazz played through GarageBand. No amp. Just some reverb in GarageBand.

  • Thats a beautiful sound. What guitar/amp are you using?

  • very good tehnic !!!..ur are talent!!!!

  • bad ass track

  • can i get the backing track that he uses?

  • @rushdude87 It comes with the course, or you can make it in GarageBand (that's how I made it)

  • very simple.

  • okay, this is awesome ... but how do you teach someone how to mix these forms? ... play a little bit of a form and then move onto another form ... to me this more of an art than something that can be taught, no?

  • @jaminLA I think you have to practice using all the forms until they're 2nd nature, then they blend into one another, that's how I did it.

  • @jaminLA This is something that can be learned. I've taught it thousands of times, to many different students. It's just patience and practice and it will become automatic.

  • I love this guy. He's not full of himself and has a realistic philosophy of learning. I am on the hunt for his full lesson version.

  • dude this is like shape of y heart by sting and a couple otherbasic latin things

  • tnx for shaing man, im a weak g. player,

  • Wow! Amazing all around! Note selection, tone, style, flash... It has that fluid, improvised sound while maintianing an organized approach that builds towards the climax and comes back around and starts again!

  • Thank you all for the kind comments!

  • shape of my heart :)
