  • Wuod luo itiyo tich maber. Ruoth omesi ndalo!

  • For those who understand Luo, this is probably one of the best songs to ever come out of Luoland. I remember Apollo Komesha because the band was a regular presence in our village especially around Christmas time.

Aparogo ndalo 1970s.Unfortunately Peter Owiso Ogola (guitarist) as well as his younger brother, Sylvester Odhiambo Ogola, whose melodious and mesmerising voice graced many of apollo Komesha songs, are both no longer with us. • Omollo Gaby JaUgunja used to play at our village every Christmas Day. That was a happy childhood. I actually used to attend the concert for the music. I remember my uncles would be busy chasing after girls all night long.

  • Very good stuff, reminds us of those good old days. I'm happy that Gaby is still a live and was recently recognised as a shuuja by the Kenya govt.
