Also think about a .22 rifle which can make your food last longer... and study bushcraft. Because eventually your food WILL RUN OUT. If you have to... if it costs it's worth its weight in food and gold is a good firearm. You get what you pay for. you go for the cheap... well dont be surpised if it breaks or jams or worse. Absolute no fail AK47 but not accurate past 350yds after the barrel is broken in(barrel flexes during firing). Plus cost of ammo dont forget oil and solvent.

Honey can last 100's+ of years without spoiling, no other food can even come close. I suggest Anti-biotics they are available. Whiskey or pain pills if a tooth extraction or some other minor surgury is necessary, Also, a Bible.
