This pavilion is totally good in form and the concept and also the content it brings... but it's such a shameful thing that our government used this as a tool of promoting our tourism industry...
Why would Malaysian keep calling them self " Im Malaysian Malays!" "Im Malaysian Chinese!" "Im Malaysian Indians!" Diam la, all wan so specifics?o0o All people who having Formal Malaysian I.C is God Dammit Fucking Malaysians ok?
ohhh not again.... can't they generate any better idea than this??.. fuck negeri sembilan.. if you ask anybody where Minang is? the answer I guarantee you would be in Sumatra...
please malingsia, be more creative. u're abusing the 'copy & paste' thingy you know...lol
aku dah gi tengok kat shanghai ari tu...cam KEDAI TOMYAM....pastu makanan TRADITIONAL Malaysia kat situ ialah BA KUT TEH.....hahaha.... suma pavilion aku masuk kecuali pavilion malaysia.. buang masa...
In Malaysia, We have various of ethnics, such as Minang mostly leave in Negeri Sembilan and originally from Indonesia, Jawa also from Indonesia, Chinese, Indian. We are multicultural and it's not a crime to show all the combination of multicultural ethnics. Indonesia cannot deny every effort of what Malaysia did.
Teman2 Indonesia, ingat sejarah, waktu kerajaan Majapahit kan Indonesia-Malaysia jadi satu. Pastinya lah ada kebudayaan yg similar. Negeri Sembilan itu dekat Sumatra. Another example, Papua New Guinea dekat sama Papua Indonesia. Kalo Papua New Guinea punya rumah adat yg similar, apa dibilang meng-copy juga?
@faeezfizz memang BANGANG pun..tak pernah belaja sejarah..jangan kata nak belaja sejarah, belaja hormat orang pun tak pandai..aku ni orang N9..mana2 orang indon yg BANGANG sejarah tu, boleh tanya kat aku ye..semakin hari, semakin aku meluat dengan INDON ni..dah la kat seremban tu, aku sendiri takut nak keluar ke bandar, sebab indon2 ni la..ramai yang buat MASALAH..carik rezeki kat MALAYSIA ni, pandai pulak!!!!!!
@wongcoko I wonder Indonesian never read history? Malaysia also got Minangkabau, why? because came from Indonesia long long time ago. Just like Chinese Malaysia came from China, we are now Malaysian, but of course we still share some similarities.
Controversies have perhaps ensued as the pavilion boasts a miniature indoor golf course which has nothing to do with Malaysian culture as well as the Minangkabau's building style which originates from Indonesia. Many locals are not very proud of the designs as they see it as backward-looking instead of embracing the future when the rest of the world is doing so.
@arimbozho Hei Si BODOH BANGANG, Minangkabau memang asal Indonesia, tapi Malaysia pun ada keturunan Minangkabau di Negeri Sembilan. Apa curi? Dua dua pun Minangkabau, pastinya budaya serupa! Apalah si Indon gila tak paham paham....
Firstly, what Malaysia is lacking of is the content. We seem to have so many things to show in the pavilion that it loses focus. What is the first thing we wanted to communicate when we meet a foreign stranger? Is it 1 Malaysia? Is it KLCC Petronas etc.? They don't bother, it is not attractive, not related to them. Besides, we don't have the best tower/policy/skyline. Secondly, Malaysia needs to get rid of the whole "revivalism" movement.Make tradition relevant, not just showing it physically.
what a joke... I had trouble convincing my foreign clients that we're not some back water country... thanks to this pavillion.

@Nadya473
Itu benar kak...
Mereka kehilangan identitas & hanya bisa mengaku-ngaku, mencontek, & (Lanjutkan sendiri)
Kerjanya menghina Indonesia tapi munafik, karena mereka selalu butuh Indonesia...
Malaysia ini hanya menang negara kaya , tapi orang2nya bodoh & kampungan.
Sok maju tapi lupa bahwa mereka selalu mengemis Indonesia...

Poor Malaysia... why they use "Rumah Gadang" which is from Indonesia...
Do they have their own culture..? or they don't have at all until they take Indonesia culture...
