I can speak 3 languages fluently but even when I switch between the three I am often amazed at "just how the F**K did I do that??".. it comes as second nature.. I think the 3 languages blend as a bigger one language with all the more words and phrases and grammar.. if that makes sense
Consciousness necessarily brings about what Valery calls The Principal Schism which is to say between the appearing and the entity itself. Therefore divided in such a way, one lacks the ability of existing within the world and then one becomes a speculator or a dictator of circumstances which is the main problem of consciousness and of humanity in general.
This scientist has never met an adult who could acquire a foreign language as a native speaker. There are even scientific articles that it is quite possible. Adults learn a foreign language much faster than children.
@SongsofInnocence Birds have no concept of past or future only the present, no understanding of their fate or any alternative reality they might be missing. Their brains are smaller than a pea. I'm not saying it's not uncomfortable, but it's certainly less cruel than isolating humans. Another argument is, that if you had a family member with a disorder of the mind that could benefit from such research, you'd feel differently.
@SongsofInnocence Humans have a much more comprehensive nervous system than birds, which in a way makes our feelings stronger and more powerful. We are able to feel greater amounts of pain and experience more joy than birds. That's why.
@SongsofInnocence Agreed. I'm curious though how about say a single parent who's deaf and cannot speak. Shouldn't that come closer to satisfying the test case.. for if the ability for language is indeed innate in such case the child raised by a single deaf parent would tend to display propensity for language regardless
@SongsofInnocence If a bird sees it self in the mirror, it has no idea it's seeing a mirrored image of it's self. That's how "stupid" they are. Of course you can't compare isolating a human and a bird. That's almost on the level of a birds stupidity
@Smennyboy I resent you calling birds stupid. I believe birds have emotions and can feel pain. I have become friends with many birds in my area. They twitter to me and sit on my fence looking at me. When I'm sad they sense it and come to me and sing. I have seen birds in love with each other. Birds are intelligent in many other ways. If a bird is isolated I thinkit feels pain. That's cruel. You think humans are higher species in some sense?
thats a really stupid question.

Image of God has everything to do with speech -- everything that we are comes originally from him, and we have it in its imperfect form.

Speech is not unique to humans, nor is it a mystery, if you know the score:
We speak because God speaks, and we are made in his image.

Image of God has nothing to do with speech. Please stop making other Christians look weird. Pay attention to what these experts are telling you.
